The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I'm using 3mm rubies and I'm using timeout method. 320c for native use and 335c on a bong (608f & 635f) This gives me full extraction in one cycle and leaves the AVB a light brown

For removing the V1, i just put my finger in the adaptor and gently press down until it starts moving. Pop the glass out then remove the silicone insert afterwards I like the V2 adaptor. It sits below the wand so the only thing inside the wand is your Tempest! The glass can leech some of the...

It's an upgrade for the cap, so you will still be using the T1 bowl I believe you get an induction sleeve, a whole new indicator housing, VI and click disk.

I don't have any issues with the T1 roast in half bowl or full bowl either. It's mainly the heat retention which is better on the T2. It just means I'll have a more leisurely MTL session I'm also interested in the simplified VI installation. I'm a bit scared to open the V1 in case I mess up...

Yes I am still using my ebony V1. I have for T2 set up with the full bowl & rubies. I swapped the 3 mm zirc balls into the V1, and set it up with the half bowl setting. T1 is for MTL sessions, or when I want a microdose. Good for weeknights T2 is for big DTL and bong hits. This one is used...

Yes they are all 8mm, same as the dynavaps. You could stick the Dynavap B on the Tempest 2 stem if you wanted to for a laugh 😉

I don't find the T1 screen too bad. I roll the screen flat first. The reload is good for this but I've been using one of those little wooden brushes like a mini rolling pin! I'm using the reload screwdriver. I drop the screen in, I do a little anticlockwise twist, and this helps it catch the...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

So I have made my first attempt at a video of my Tempest 2 in action. I had trim it down for imgur so I had to cut the big cloud at the end short ☁️ This is using full bowl with flower, 3mm rubies on wand auto mode until time out I don't normally pull the the pull the tempest out as much...

Zirc balls are better for mouth to lung, but I prefer rubies for direct lung and bong usage. You get dense vapour more quickly and they can take a lot of heat so it's hard to combust. I also get a very even roast practically every time I use them

I used the reload screwdriver. I was a bit worried too but you just need to give a firm anticlockwise twist and it will open up. 3mm rubies are so good in the T2, especially for big bong rips 🫠 This was posted by Brenyo

I had 44 3mm Zirconia preinstalled when I got the T2. When I swapped the 3mm rubies I could only fit 42 comfortably. I could probably get 2 more in but I was worried about the ball screen catching All 44 3mm zirc went into my OG Tempest though! It's really nice having 2 different set ups...

The Tempest by Mad Heaters & Phatpiggie

I mainly use this setting for DTL. I tend to use the bong most of the time. When I do DTL natively I drop the temp to 320c. I still think it's convection heavy as the AVB gets fully cooked but is not too dark Ive swapped the 3mm Zirc balls into my V1 now, so when I do want a more chilled out...

As there is a few discussions about Ruby ball temps I thought I'd share my current settings I posted this on the r/madheaters subreddit Set up - new wand adaptor, and 3mm rubies in the cap. Cap airflow fully open, stem airport closed off. Using a mini globe bong with water Ive set the depth...

What settings are you using on the Flare? The vapour production looks better than I expected. The AVB did look quite green though

YLL & the Flare do not work with the Tempest unfortunately. YLL doesn't fit the head, and the Flare doesn't detect the Tempest properly so only uses low wattage The wand is great for the Tempest though. You can get 1 heat extraction consistently once you get the wand adaptor set up properly
