Talked to the Relaxo guys yesterday and asked about the new MP. Their response was: "Yes, we improved the mouthpiece and now the screen can be changed and easy to clean." Looks like we'll get an improvement here!

@TNT_error - Since you're already talking to them, can you ask when they expect the updated version to go on sale? @HSIHP - Did you ever try the cotton in this to help the filter problem? How'd it go?
