Yeah, I've been using a flashlight since about the 3rd day I started vaping. I shine it at the glass stem of my mflb (its hooked up to a whip and bubbler, so the stem isnt right near my head or anything), and I can very easily see exactly what my air/vapor ratio is. It really really helps you...

my acrylic stem cracked too, I cleaned it with an iso dipped pipe cleaner, and rinsed it well with water quickly afterwards, but it only really lasted about a month. It's alright though, for a measly 7 bucks I have two glass stems on the way from blisssville. I just filled out the PA order...
