so a little update on the returned grasshopper - so far it is working like a total champ - best it has ever worked TBH. starts real quick. solid lights with no flickering and big clouds with even ABV. hell if it works like this for 6 months reliably i'd consider buying another. when these things...
So my grasshopper returned from repair today.
A brief history for the record:
first broke (wouldn't turn on) and was returned in feb 2018
came back late may 2018 and had a new fault - super hot backend
they said it would need a new back end but they were waiting for them to arrive
I decided to...
so my grasshopper and my spare front end are in transit back to the UK (this is the 3rd RMA)
imagine it will get here early next week now. will report back on what i make of their repair this time. can't say i'm super confident but hey-ho
had a message from hopper that my grasshopper that arrived with them on may 8th is now in final testing. quicker than I expected so pleased. Gonna get a couple of the new batteries too
anyone know if this might be a suitable base for a homemade IH for these? would it work off a lipo battery?
amazed someone (dynavap?) isn't making these in quantity already. if someone could get a reliable, smallish battery powered one for less than 100 bucks to market they'd sell like...
what's the current estimated wait time for an RMA? I had an email from them a while back explaining the times but can't find it
edit: just checked their site - says 3-5 MONTHS!!!
can that be right? holy hell
got one of these as a stop gap while my GH is away on one of it's bi-annual warranty repairs and I am very impressed. It's much smaller than I thought it would be, feels good quality (metal body), it's easy to use, heats quickly and packs a decent punch
For 45 quid I am very very impressed.
I sent my 2019M back to vapefiend and got a shadow instead. works really well. i'm getting about 3 or 4 good rips off a bowl, heating it 3 or 4 times.
I left 2 messages on DV website asking if I could send a photo of the 2019M i suspected to be faulty and they haven't replied.
wish there was...
yes my GH was sent back today too along with my spare front end. not long back from a previous "fix" either. And the third time it's been sent back. Most disappointing really. The real shame is that when they do work they are such good vapes. I kind of wish they'd made them a little bigger...
so I ended up returning my 2019m to vapefiend and ordering a shadow instead which arrived today. unfortunately the vapcap on the shadow is so loose that it just falls off the vape if you angle it down or hold it upside down :(
just waiting to hear from vapefiend as to what to do.
To add insult...
thanks - I got it from vapefiend and they're asking me to return it. I have filled out a contact form a few hours ago on the dynavap site but no reply so far
How restrictive should the draw be with the little hole covered?
hi all
I just got a dynacap m 19 and I can't get any draw on it at all with the cap on. I'm new to dynavaps. i've read in this forum about a potential fault with the grooves. i'm going to send it back anyway but just wondered what people think?
