Can anyone give me an idea of how long and how labor intensive this process is? Not the most handy dude out there, so I fear dismantling my Red Queen might lead me to break something that I can't fix myself.
Exactly what I was thinking. I respect the approach, but don't understand the reasoning behind it given that there is no licensing/copyright of any sort and the previous & current owner have not done a single thing to honor their word or satisfy the legal claims against them.

My tracking information was emailed this morning and, to my great surprise, my Red Queen showed up about an hour later, so I think there was just some sort of backlog in the tracking getting out.

A LOT! A proper cap is a major difference maker. I honestly didn't even like my 30mm with the Tsunami. Josh & CCA have amazing tech, but their carb caps have never been their strong suit.
