Iv only seen a normal overhead 60 watt bulb blow up under normal use but it was hooked up to the home lines, there are vids of people blowing up halogen bulbs on youtube but they do it on purpose by over powering them, this device looks like it cant be plugged in so that eliminates a power surge...

Vill is probably on his country's summer holiday, my number one question about this new design is what are the chances of a bulb blowing up and sending glass flying threw the screen in to someones mouth.
