It would be one thing if V4L owned a Cloud and was making complaints based off his own unit but he seems to just be reiterating other members issues which is getting quite annoying to some of us.

Yes. In my experience it paid huge dividends to wait additional time before you take your first hit . I had a similar experience to what you described and once I began waiting longer for it to heat up I began getting the "Clouds" I wanted.

I left the water in my Vertigo tube for days and it never leaked out the bottom. I filled mine way above the slits too.

After owning the Iolite, the ticking sound was completely a non-issue for me. I'd much prefer it over the HSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS of the iolite. lol

I've never gotten any splash back from my Vertigo HydraTree and I fill mine way above the slits on the trees too. However, emptying the water once I'm done has been more of an issue with this tube than I expected. I can empty the water out of my double perc Roor easier than I can from this...

^ When you first turn the unit on, turn the dial all the way to the highest setting and wait a couple minutes longer than when the light turns green. Before you take your first hit, turn the dial down to your desired temp and wait another minute or so. You should be getting thick clouds almost...
