It's defective, they're sending me a new one. If I run my fingernail along the tip-side end of the stem there's a ridge that grabs and cuts into my nail. It seems like when they beveled the end, they didn't ream it out from the other side afterwards. Would the chewed up o rings be making this...

I get a weird metallic taste from my 2018 M. is this normal? On hotter hits it tastes bitter. Also my stem chews up the tip o-rings every time I disassemble and reassemble. I'm inserting it straight and everything, no twisting or wobbling or rocking it back and forth. I'm a little disappointed...
