That is well put! Back to finer screens it is.

The morse code is top secret. Someone is bound to crack it. You could technically double up on the screens provided. There should be enough room to do that just barely. I'm curious as to how that would go.

It always felt to me there was some strange magic in that original grinder I made. The only consistent feedback I got was make it bigger haha I've been getting great feedback on the new grinder until I decided to check out this thread to see if there were any updates and now see some people not...

It's worth noting that I took the original 2" design and upped it to 2.5" based upon the same design principles used in the original grinder. This is to say that I never envisioned this grinder being used to grind a lot of herb at once. I viewed the size increase more as an ease in handling...

I never saw the purpose behind using an o-ring which is why I don't use one. It would throw off the precise tolerances I hold between mating surfaces as well. Even with one you aren't overcoming the fact that the sidewalls are touching while spinning so yes there's inherently going to be noise...

As long as it works out as it should any that are pre-ordered now will have that update as I'm going to start machining more next week. Ironically I'm starting with the bottom so that worked out timing wise!

The bottom is designed to rotate just enough to disengage the magnetism so the bottom and middle section separate easily. That's good feedback on the ledge. I can add a radius that the kief screen can sit on instead of a 90 degree ledge. I'm always listening to what people say and add features...

Yes there is a ledge that the screen sits on so the kief collects in it's own location. I completely forgot about needing to get a good picture of that up so thank you for the reminder!
