I sent in one of the videos of the cap making the noise, it definitely happens all the time on my unit. Also, there's the corrosion issue myself and others have seen on the cap along with it constantly coming loose from the Ceramo despite tightening the fins. These are significant performance...
Thanks for the reply, but one problem I'm having is that I don't see how you could not have encountered the screeching problem when using the wand given how common it is here. Did you mean you didn't test it with the wand or that none of the caps you tested with the wand made the noise?
Not really but the community is pretty good at finding problems and holding companies accountable like Flower Mill with their metal dusting issue and YLLVape who was recently found putting loose fiberglass in their vapes. Production problems and decisions that can impact health happen all the...
Exactly, even high quality metal probably isn't medically ideal for vaping, so this obviously low-quality construction should raise some red flags. It's crazy to vape regularly through something that starts to corrode in half a day with light use.
I agree completely, and we use these things a lot so serious issues coming up this soon are really worrying. How they handle this will say a lot about the company for sure since it seems like a pretty easy fix, and the Ceramo itself feels well made. I know Camouflet watches this forum so...
What bothers me more than the screeching is the corrosion that seems to be happening with induction heating. Does anyone using it with a torch see any strange wear on it?
Yeah, mine also developed some corrosion on top after maybe 3 uses with the IH, I thought I was going crazy. There's something up with the new caps and the quality of the metal makes me worry about what I'm inhaling. I'm a big fan of Camouflet but they need to replace these caps.
It happens on my titanium CXL too, not just the ceramic. It seems to be something about the build or metal quality of the recent cap since the older ones don't do this. Can someone try an old CXL cap on the Ceramo to see if it screeches?
If you only want one device I'd swap this one for the CXL, it's what you're looking for. The Ceramo is decent but feels a little ill conceived compared to the CXL which is pretty seamless and versatile. I don't regret getting the Ceramo for the pre-order price but I won't be buying any extra...
I got the Ceramo and it works great with a WPA, so I think that will be it's main use since that saves me the trouble of taking the cooling unit out of my CXL, and I think the flavor is a little better on the Ceramo.
My wand does pull on the cap and creates a high pitched noise when heating...
He didn't intend do, he just didn't care if he did because his profit margins were more important. There are plenty of safe, well performing vapes to choose from. I'm not giving anyone who puts my lungs at risk being greedy a second chance, that's ridiculous.
