I did some rudimentary testing last night, it seems with a higher resistance coil (well I assume its higher resistance because they all seem to measure 0R on the meter) the current draw is less. I tried a longer coil with around 20 turns, I think it was around a metre long and it drew about 1.5...

I have had a bit of a look around but can't find the answer in simple terms lol. I'm just wondering how to achieve a lower current draw and slower heating on the common 120w units. I have a length of 2mm copper coming so I guess I will have to do some experimentation myself :)

my first thought was a dosing capsule? I'm probably miles off the mark as usual lol. I just hope its not a 2019 M, only just got the 2018 version ffs lol

Ah ok that makes sense. I wonder if some tiny contacts would work, that way minimal heat conduction should occur? I'll will have to experiment when my parts arrive :)

This seems like a good idea to me, are their any disadvantages other than the possibility of a bad connection? Has anyone measured the current draw to the mosfet gate?

Hi all. New to vaping and even newer to this great forum :) I have picked up the bog standard IH kit and I would like to experiment with coils. I would like to try fewer coils for a lower peak current draw. I guess standard enamelled copper wire should do the trick?
