Excellent work @blokenoname
Great news about your eyesight and great to have your ingenious DIY posts back on the thread again - welcome back!
And I'd like to join blokenoname in offering huge thanks to Dave @underdog for supplying the cores - we'll put 'em to good use.
Here's my first log...
Here's my UD chico claro walnut, the oldest of my dogs and now 8 years old - still working fine and looking great.
Heartfelt seasonal greetings to Dave and Amanda and all dog owners wherever you are.
And very best wishes for the New Year!

Hi Lennon.
Copper will oxidise over time forming a green patina called verdigris and so is not ideal. Aluminium has been linked to some health issues and so is probably best avoided,
It's not entirely clear what you mean by pipe. Perhaps if you could post a picture of the vape you made it...
Sadly true. And no one can tell you how long you have to wait, after consuming cannabis, to drive legally. The law is primarily designed to be punative rather that to be of benefit to public or individual safety. Twas ever thus with cannabis!

Anyone tried the Cancard...
Many thanks for starting this thread @VegNVape I haven't come across this info anywhere else.
You mentioned in your first post that Mamedica offer prescriptions to veterans. Do you happen to know if being a vet is enough on it's own or would I still need two previous prescriptions from a GP...
@Dabberhashery
Hi mate. All may not be lost! I see a couple of possible workarouds here. Firstly, you could moisten the weed by putting it in a plastic bag with a piece of (say) orange peel and leave it for a few hour. Then put it through a proper curing process. Alternatively, QUISO it...
Many thanks @darkstar72. You're doing well to build logs with a drill press. That's how I drill heater/base wells on the Rustics and it's no easy task getting them perfectly central to the log. I collected some pieces of local oak recently that are suitable for Rustics and they'll have to be...
Thank you @coolbreeze for your kind words. Highly encouraging.
I should have added to the post that if anyone has any DIY questions about the log I will, ofc, be happy to answer them.

My wood supplier recently got in some stock of Leopardwood so thought I'd see if it would suit a log. Here's the result.
The 'leopard' patterning is mainly on two sides but the whole log is very attractive. Note the jack connector flush with the side. The vase style shape - waisted near...
Hi PPN
It just might be worth reaching out to him again. I know that, sadly, he's been very ill, but he may well have recovered - I really don't know. I'm not on IG atm but if you are he was active there a while ago. If that fails Dave @underdog fixes old PDs so he'd probably be happy to...
Hmm.. so you'd need a log with a heater cover/core diameter with either a 12mm external diameter so that the stem could go over the heater cover or with a 14mm internal diameter so that the stem could go into the heater cover. So to get this to work you'd have to buy a length of stainless steel...
