Hi fellow AK Vaper. I've had my Crafty for over a year now and never had an issue with low temperatures. I use it outdoors a lot, even when sub zero. The battery drains a bit quicker, but that's expected since the inlet temperature is so low.
I wouldn't recommend leaving it in your car though...
Just use a paperclip or something to fish it out. I recently had a similar experience with some shatter dropping below the coil. I used a Sim ejector tool to pick it up and rubbed it in the coil. Went from wispy hits to thick clouds :)
Crafty finally died on me.
Took a road trip from Anchorage AK, to Denver CO. Crafty was my constant companion on the trip and never let me down.
I was worried about bringing it into Canada and back, but that wasn't an issue. I just cleaned it up with ISO before tossing in my bag.
Bringing...
I've had my dr dabber for about three weeks now. In that time it's become my primary method of consumption. It's just so much more convenient than my dry herb vapes (crafty and herbalizer). Between the instant heat up and the near lack of smell I can take hits just about anywhere.
I've been...
They do provide an apk download. It wasn't even hard to find.

I generally run between 181 to 185 depending on ambient temps. Pretty much never bother with the boost mode, just one temp for the whole bowl. Smooth hits and the leftovers come out a crumbly medium brown.
Different folks will have different preferences. I tend to run all my vapes at the...
Crafty is a WAY better vaporizer than the Flowermate. When I sent my Crafty in to S&B, I bought a Flowermate 5.0S for vaping on the go while waiting for my Crafty to return. The Flowermate couldn't hold a candle to the crafty in terms of vapor production or flavor. Flowermate definitely seems to...
I recently sent my Crafty in and thought I'd share the experience.
My crafty was a 79X serial number and was unable to connect to Android devices running Lolipop. S&B confirmed I needed to send it in for a firmware update.
I shipped just the base wrapped in newspaper in a USPS small flat rate...
USB 2.0 charging allows a max current of 10w [5v x 2A] the heater in the crafty draws approximately 30w. It's physically impossible to power the heating element without the battery.
Both my Indica's hum. I figured it was a coil buzzing and part of the normal operation. My first indica's heater died after a week of use [then sat until I thought to sign up here]. Second one I just noticed has the silicone seal defect. It had a very strong odor in the packaging; a sweet smell...
Just got my replacement Indica. Everything's working great.
Mike was very helpful. It was only an hour or so between my first post and him getting an order in for a replacement. On a Saturday night no less! Outstanding service!
Android smartphones are a hobby of mine and I've owned quite a few. Only once have I had a micro usb port break. It was on the only Samsung phone I've ever owned so I think it was more an issue with their build quality and less with the micro usb specification.
I have had micro usb cables break...
Thanks Mike for your prompt reply regarding my faulty unit. I look forward to receiving the replacement.
The Indica is a great product and if I could change anything I would change the auto-shutoff duration. I always had to run two sessions to finish the bowl.
The mini USB connector is a bit...
