I was likely a bit confused at the time, but I found my problems were from two different things going on. My HN-01 not booting was the card issue, which hasn't had any booting problems since repairing its errors. I think the problem with mine not seeing the coil was a bug due to some settings...
Thanks to @scalescliffs I was able to try his HN-01 image. With my HN-01 his image runs, but doesn't see the coil is connected, even if I try using my other know good coils. Maybe mine has a different chip for the thermocouple?
Today I found my sd card actually could still manage to randomly...
I'd still love it if someone with a good copy of the HN-01 1.2.10 SD or .iso would share it with me to try.
Mine stopped working on Thursday. This one made it a couple of months longer than the first did, but still lasted less than a year.
I've spent a while tonight trying to make an image of my sd card and copy it to another, but so far have only failed. It keeps giving a few errors during the imaging while reading from the hexnail sd and at the end says it failed to write the image. Trying to use the file that it wrote hasn't...
I didn't see this when I started my post, but this is the same way my current unit was built.
The random temp spike has always been something they have done. It's weird and random it will normally run within just a couple degrees, but sometimes I walk up to it and it's 25 over and going for no...
I think they got a prototype slapped together, and then called it good and kept putting them together like that with whatever junk they could find.
My first HN-01 was a nice Bloodwood. I loved its color contrasts at the corners, where you could see the ends of the boards next to the tops. But...
My HN-01 is still going. It gets used everyday and usually needs to be on for long hours for me.
I don't think it's going to be working much longer. It takes longer and longer to start up, and I've had the display freeze up a couple of times this week already.
Holy ballz! 60 for just for the silver, 80 gold, and 100 for the blue! Guess I should have bought an extra back when they really were on sale.
My gold AH shield has been a blue ever since my Hex-Nail randomly went wild one day and had my coil glowing.
700° for a few hours or overnight has always unstuck my inserts so far, 800° for an hour or two has also been fine. Any hotter and you'll probably change the anodized coloring for no good reason. My Ligers (2 rainbows and 1 blue) have been unchanged from these temps.
I see CCA posted on IG that the ring on the AH shield should be a little loose due to the AH coils varying in their size sometimes. I was probably lucky that mine fit my 3.0 as it was suppose to.
I got my Air today, the mail got it here a day early! #50, so they weren't wrong about that part I guess, lol. You really almost have to know it's there to even see the SN. Quality of the work is very nice, it's a beautiful piece. It's so much lighter than I was really expecting.
The 14mm...
The 2nd should be the day for me too. I got myself well stocked up on supplies last night. :)
I'm really glad I didn't get my pre-pre-tracking a week earlier.
I got a tracking number for my 3/16 order last week. It at least let me know it was getting closer to shipping. The Post Office received it near the end of the day today and it's now moving.
The thing is it's ALL the lies. Not just this round of the tracking number game... I doubt many of the longer-time customers had ANY thought their tracking number would show movement quickly.
They've lied publicly often AND they lie to everyone personally as well if you manage communication...
I'd been patiently waiting for the new software to be released for the HN-01 before my replacement unit time-bombs itself too. It had been said to be coming "soon" for several months. I also really didn't like the ideal of losing the web interface once I heard about that. I will not install an...
