@KeroZen I finally received a 510 adapter and I think it solved my problem! The temp doesn't change when i press on the top and my resistance is pretty consistent at around .185. I think I'll still have to mess around with it and the settings a bit to make it perfect, but from just plugging it...

One cable is soldered to the center pin and the other cable is soldered to the outer part. I can definitely notice the curve of the cables changing as I turn the center pin. I could probably adjust it more but I'm holding off for when the adapters I ordered get here.

Do you think it's possible that the problem could be with the cords in the wooden bit of the 510 connection? I haven't tried sandpaper, and I don't know how to adjust the pin, but I cleaned the connection with iso multiple times and only got a slight improvement.
