The D-Capper

Yeah I’m not a big fan of the putty on the base either. That’s the only thing. And the lid cover idea would be nice to see.

I didn’t like the sticky putty at first, but on smooth surfaces it works pretty well to anchor the base when you pull up on your stem when removing the cap. The putty comes off easily, and you could use rubber bumpers, but if you have tight caps, the whole base might lift up. At least for my smooth tables, I STUCK (pun alert) with the putty and now I like it. Give it a chance, or ditch it.

I originally took the putty off, then mixed it with the “extra” pieces of putty, then rolled it flat, and now had a larger amount, and stuck it back on the base.

My only Pro Tip so far is remember not to decap your vapcap too soon.
I got into the habit of doing that sometimes before the cool down click. Then it ‘clicks‘ and any AVB in the cap goes flying, Haha.

That’s funny, as now and then I forget. Then a few seconds later..... POP. It usually freaks me for a half second, and yeah, if the caps pointed up, and it usually has some herb in it, that cap clicker can project it all over.
NOTE TO SELF: try to remember.....

Yeah man, I have AVB everywhere all around my debowler. It's 100% user error. I guess I'm guilty of early withdrawal. But, I kind of like the popcorn effect of a few flakes flying.

But... It works fantastic if you think you may have combusted or get a faint taste of smoke.

Before getting the D-capper I would just try to get the cap off ASAP with the old shirt tail oven mitt removal technique. MUCH easier with the D-capper.

I've saved the need to "do the dishes" after accidental combustion by simply dumping a smoking load - almost no smoke flavor crossover to the next load if you get it out fast enough. Much easier with the D-capper. Love this thing!

Hi guys,

You product looks really nice, almost want to get one.

Seeing that you are preparing another product, I would like to share one function I would really like to see on a product like yours is a section where my ground weed ends up where I can simply scoop some material with the dynavap.

I already use a small tea cup, but having a piece specifically for that, like that nice dcapper, would be nice. I can also easily see this function paired with a grinder.

Love my D-Capper and considering another. Would be great to have BCG integration with these, or as others have mentioned, a lid of some sort would be great.

That is amazing! I love it. How did you work out the attachment?

That was the hard part. Used the wire loop on the brush, then some thin wires a wrap, then heat shrink. Trick is to find a way to keep brush from rotating as you spin the DV. I got it pretty solid. I’m sure there are better ways.

How about an accessory from BGC that has a bottom thread of one of the spikes, you don’t need TWO spikes, it’s a wasted opportunity, where you can screw on $$$ accessory brushes? Kinda like the New Vape de-bowler.

This reminds me of something I did before Jyarz and dcapper. I used an altoids tin, a magnet and a coiled pipe cleaner.

Great size to put about 2gr gound up. Dip and twirl to fill. Lift and twirl on the pipe cleaner on the way up to remove Klingons. Viola! Works perfectly. But, super ghetto.

Hey everyone,

Happy 420!

We just released a new product called the D-Capper. It's an accessory for the Dynavap that makes cap removal quick and easy. It's pretty simple. It consists of a magnet and a machined feature that grips onto the Dynavap's cap.

Check it out:

We kind of just designed and made this out of necessity. My brother and I, the founders of GFL, are both big Dynavap fans. We use them all the time. We needed an AVB bowl for our Dynavaps so we decided to make one.

One feature we wanted was a hot cap remover. We like to vape multiple bowls in a row and never liked waiting for the cap to cool down enough to grab it by hand. We tried embedded magnets, but those only worked some of the time and not at all for tighter caps. We wanted something more reliable.

We're also working on a D-Capper grinder. It will have an integrated debowler and will be a portable Dynavap session station. We'll post some photos soon.

Check it out and tell us what you think!
When will this be available to order again?
thx
