Sticky Brick Labs Vaporizer

Thanks for your reply, personally I don't consider the speed of execution important, on the contrary I like slow sessions ...

I'm not sure which one to buy.
The runt seems to me a good compromise between og and jr.
I'm not the best person to recommend a specific model since I've only used my Limba og. I can understand why people who use water a lot would enjoy the hydro or maxx. The Runt would be fun to have but there are some things that make me prefer the og personally:
  1. The big mouthpiece does a great job of cooling and is fun to watch like a bong
  2. The larger body size fits my hands well and makes the ritual more ergonomic (i.e. mouthpiece and torch not as close to your face)
  3. The pieces snap together precisely while the Runt seems to make some tradeoffs in that regard
The option to use the Runt like a bigger Flip Brick is super cool though. Do they make a dimpled cooling stem for it yet? Given the smaller size that would likely come in handy.

Oh and the Brick are capable of way bigger hits that a vapcap. I like having both of course.

Can also only speak for the OG, i just love the device. it is basically perfect to me. good size (way smaller than i´ve expected), mouthpiece is of an outstanding quality and you can hit it with a small one hitter load and put it away or do a real killer session with a huge bowl and 2-3 stirs.

the Runt is basically a smaller version of the OG. better portability and easier water piece connection but as i´ve already said, there is no need for water at all with the OG. i take real huge rips with it and i don´t feel that this vapor is harsh in any way. even when you finish the bowl and the flavor is already on the "roasted" side it is not irritating to the lungs. the Dynavap is much harsher.

i would say when using strictly at home and someone is fine without water...go with the OG. as i posted you could also insert a 18,8 to 14,4 mm adapter into the hole where the mouthpiece goes to connect a whip to a bubbler/bong. i´ve done it a few times and gone back to dry use, i just don´t see the point of water for the OG because you can rip huge bowls without water with the device.

the only thing that is a bit finicky is putting the screens into the chamber, sometimes one side goes deeper in than the other, so you have to remove and insert again for the sweet spot.
especially with new screens it can be a little bit of a hassle.

I can only speak to the flip and runt as I have not used an OG. The vapor is cool when using the mouthpiece, but you can really lay into it with a wpa.

To anyone considering a brick, check out this video that @ohmygodimsohigh put out. I've watched it many, many times, even after buying my Runt. Troy does a good job of breaking down the strengths and shortcomings of each one.

Quick tip: dome the screen on your finger, then drop it in with the dome pointing up (away from the bowl) then depress the center with the stir stick and it will stay in place. The bowl area is intentionally .5mm smaller then the screen because I personally hate it when the screen falls out with the avb.

Less Is More ;):)

I know I'll buy one but I'm not sure which one.
For now I feel like excluding hydro brick.

just my 2 cents. I recently decided to purchase one, and after many video's and questions answered i decided on a OG. I've had it about 2 weeks now. It's fantastic. With a small bowl or big one, with one or many hits per bowl, it's just fantastic. The vapor is smooth and tasty. I don't use with water as it's really not needed.

I got the runt and only have had it for a few days but still learning the best technique. Any pointers?

Also what is the best way to aim and angle the torch flame? I'm using the single honest that came with it from PIU.

Hey dude,
Key to the SB is a combination of draw speed, flame length and distance imo.
I use my Junior with Honest Torch on smallest setting and no Restrictor
and my OG with Restrictor upside down and a medium Honest flame.
So for the Runt i suggest no disk and smallest possible flame!
I aim relatively straight into the stem maybe a bit downwards.
I start breathing in veeeery slow for a couple of seconds until it gets warm and dense in the stem after which i increase my pull and lower the lighter with care!
Oh and I almost never fill the chamber more than half full, I prefer repacking for fresh taste and lesser chance of combusting.

Any input of people rocking OGs for longer, how do you like to use yours?
With the restrictor disk upside down its impossible to combust, but I dont like the airflow tbh.
Without RD I scorch or combust almost everytime with a superlow flame.
I got the technique down in my Junior perfectly :)

I use my OG with a pretty decent sized kitchen torch, turned up to between the lowest and medium setting. Aim directly into the intake tube with the inner blue flame just kissing the edge of the intake. restriction disc in. start my pull, slowly, and within 2-4 seconds i get visible vapor in the mouthpiece. At that point I pull faster and also move the flame away from the intake so that the outer flame is just beyond the tube. Nice long pull with lots of clouds.

I'm a fan of a larger/multi flame torch and disk in with the runt.

It's counterintuitive, but you have way more control with more flame. If it's a small flame, you can draw too fast and not get enough vapor to be satisfied. So then to compensate, you either start drawing slower, or push the flame into the intake more. Additionally, I feel like with a smaller flame, it's like trying to hit a small bullseye.

The larger flame fills the intake with heat, so "perfect" flame placement or angle isn't a factor. Also, with my triple flame, I can't out draw it. I've pulled as hard as I can when vapor production starts, and the vapor stays thick or increases in density. Because of the larger flame, disk in, and cork in, I focus on draw speed, and flame distance to control vapor production.

Thanks for the suggestions. Also when I got the runt, I stuck the cork in the carb hole and left it there. Now I've taken it out and I'm combusting like a mofo. I would have thought having the carb open, would have it cooler, but apparently not. IDK what is going on but I have to keep the flame way further back than when I had the carb hole closed up. In fact when I had the carb hole closed up, I was getting mad at times because I couldn't get a good hit and I had the flame all the way in the intake to where my torch would die out from being too close.

With the cork out, are you using your finger to modulate the air? Are you getting any vapor with the cork out or is it mostly combustion?

Cover that hole like 95% of the time or you will combust like crazy!
Uncovering that hole increases the temp in the chamber and youre not drawing that heat away.
I open it for very short times towards the end of my draw and leave it open just at the very end

The og is great. I use mine exclusively with the disk in and the stock Honest torch with the straight intake and what I'd guess is a medium flame.

I notice that just adjusting the torch from medium small to medium large is all it takes to make the extraction almost too quick for me. The flavor and consistently big, smooth hits are pretty much tops of the fifteen or so portables I've owned. I use my Splinters and Splinter Zs more but mainly because the og Brick is irresistibly fast and I'd rather not vape .15g in like one or two hits.

i use a creme brulee torch with a big single flame on lowest to middle setting, extraction is really fast and cloudy.

first i aim the end of the flame at the intake and draw slowly while moving the flame a bit. after that i speed up my draw and put the flame a bit away. at the end i pull the cork off the device to clear it out of vapor.

still not sure about restrictor disc or not, sometimes i like it better with the disc and sometimes i like it without, it is strange

Busted out the runt for this t-break with CBD. The taste of CBD is not my jam, at all, so I'm glad I can take a full bowl in 1-2 hits with the runt. I'd rather eat a tbsp of avb, dry, with no liquids to chase instead of having a session style vape packed with CBD. :puke:

Hope y'all are enjoying whatever Sticky Brick you're using tonight, and hope it's packed full of something you enjoy. :spliff:

Just got my Runt yesterday in Zebrawood. First butane vape, had some experience with a volcano and pax like devices years ago, but lately have been either vaping sauces and diamonds in a 710coils erig setup with a ruby insert or smoking bowls and joints.
This little thing really does hit hard. I'm still combusting a little occasionally, but for the most part it's been fairly easy and a few good hits really goes through some material and has a great head effect. I love how it's all put together, very easy to fill.

I never combust since I started using my og Brick with the restrictor disk installed and like everything about how it preforms so maybe give that a try if you haven't already.

Yeah I learned a lot with the restrictor disk inside, used for the first 6-8 weeks or so!
Or try turning the flame down to the lowest setting, that works really well w/o the disk!

The og Sticky Brick in bubinga is 20% off this week with code bub20 (works on the Jr or Max in bubinga too).

@rnartian don't sleep on the Brick. I also dislike using a torch with my vapcaps and use induction heaters exclusively but the objection doesn't transfer to the brick in the slightest. If anything the brick has the superior ritual. The only reason I don't use mine more is that it goes through .3g or more way faster than I'd like since it's capable of truly enormous hits and I do a consistently poor job of restraining myself.

HEY HEY!! Just noticed that the pink ivory Jr is back in sticky bricks website!! Kenney talked about it last night, and he said there are three in the wild, so super rare.

Please, someone from this forum pick it up so I can drool over it. Because of how my banking and checking are setup...I'm forced to pass on it. SOMEONE SNAG IT!
