Mods, can we start a separate "Cooking " thread and not post in "Cooking with cannabis" thread?
There are a lot of great cooks on here and many recipes are best done without cannabis flavor being added.
Would it be ok to just have a general cooking spot??

First question is: Any browning butter pros on here??
-- How dark should browned butter be? Mine is very dark , but not burnt at all.
-- It seems only the "solids" in the butter get browned, correct? I was expecting all of
it to get browned.
Correction: when browning on med heat for a long time, brown particles lay on the bottom but the butter oil above remained crystal golden clear. Now when removed and sitting, the oil has turned very very dark and has an awesome toffe/caramel/butter smell.
So maybe I nailed it
Tomorrow will make be making "Perfect Choc Chip Cookie" recipe. I usually go "native" and hold the nuts
but this recipe calls for pecans or walnuts so I may have to get pecans????
