After having a flower pot for a week or so I have to say my bricks hold up well to it. If I've got a big bowl loaded and I've got my flame and technique right I think the bricks can hit just as hard as the flower pot. If I'm being honest though I love my bricks so I'm sure there's some bias in my opinion.

Interesting.
I also am obtaining a Flowerpot, within a few days.
I'll post my experiences comparing the FP to my beloved SBJr. when finished testing... :)

Hey guys,

Relatively new to butane vapes and have heard a lot of good things about the SB Jr.

I currently own a Dynavap Vapcap M that I use on the go and a Lotus WPA that essentially stays in a beaker tube for home use. My question is: Is there any real reason to drop the money on the SB Jr. given that I already have these two vapes? Aside from the novelty of having another wooden vape in my collection, am I really missing anything?

Brick is a completely different experience to the other butane vape types, the flavour is purer as it is convection, it has a different profile.

Not knocking the other vapes, the brick isn't as discrete as say the M and not as quick to use but it is well worth the investment.

I don't have a lotus, but the biggest difference for me from a vapcap is the draw restriction going away. I always cover the carb and puff on my vc like a cigar, there's not much restriction on a brick. The brick uses a torch for convection heating so it's on-demand (not that the vc takes long to heat). Much bigger bowl with potentially much bigger hits, it depends on your torch and your inhale speed. They're really very different vapes, both great.

I also own the Dynavape Vapcap "M", as well as the SbJr. I would personally say that the two are both excellent pieces of kit... with many strengths and weaknesses associated with both designs.

The Vapcap "M" is definitely more concealable and portable. If this is of primary concern to you, the Sticky Brick Jr. just plain falls short. However...

The Sticky Brick Jr. can give HUGE clouds of wonderful vape gravy... if used right. It is far easier to accidentally combust with the SBJr., which is a downside... but overall, I prefer the hits I get from the Brick over the hits from the "M". The bowl is larger and easier to stir and load on the Brick, and the Brick just plain gives an aesthetic and kinesthetic satisfaction and pride of ownership that the Vapcap "M" doesn't match.

Other factors... the Sticky Brick Jr. is FAR easier to draw through, while the Vapcap "M" is like pulling a hit through a 15 foot straw... definitely requires stronger cheak/lung/lip action to get properly vaped.

Probably the biggest difference, though, is that the Vapcap "M" can be "powered" from just about any heat source, while the SBJr. is limited to a butane torch type lighter.

Overall, if I could only have one, the Brick would be my choice... but this is based on my own usage and preferences, which might not match your own.

Hope this helps in your VAS encumbered decision! :)

I own a SBJr as well as a Lotus. I've had the Lotus for much longer and use it frequently. As you know the Lotus is also pure convection. I love the results from a Lotus session. However, still, when I let my attention lapse, I can get scorching with the Lotus. I get consistent hits with the Lotus but I have never gotten what I would consider a real lung buster.

I find the Jr. just a little easier to use. The hits I get are consistent, potent, and can be absolutely huge. I get so high so fast with the Sticky! Furthermore the wood has a very nice feel to the hand. The simple ritual that goes with the use of the Jr. (loading, firing, stirring, and hitting) enhances the vaping experience for me.

Get a Jr. - you won't regret it.

That is the strangest thing with my SBJr. - even though I've been struggling a while to find the right way for me to place the torch, I never once even remotely combusted anything. My abv looks lighter than with any other vape I use, even when I exhale enormous clouds, I've never seen a darkish brown.

I love my Junior and think every one I've seen is beautiful but that is easily the most beautiful one I have ever seen, it's fucking amazing!

I see an alien desert landscape. The lid seam is the horizon line, with mountains rising above on the left side of the lid, and a strange sun setting on the right side. There looks to be the face of a grey alien in the sun, with a shocked expression. Perhaps it is stunned at the sheer beauty of its surroundings.

Not a sun setting but a black hole.

That looks a lot like the one they use on the store page for the wpa that I've drooled over many times. I *think* this one is black and white ebony. Great spalted maple you got.
