Update: I got my Extreme Q today. right now i'm in the process of doing some decent end user video testing and planning on putting it on youtube. i'll update you guys when i'm done if you like. here's a mini review that i've put together..
The customer service was very responsive and friendly as i inquired about the new model and i placed my order through arizer on friday afternoon. it got to my neighbour's door in first thing wednesday morning. after i got a call from him letting me know it was here, i watched the clock for the next 8 hours till i got home. the box came well packaged and included the extra bowl, whip and screen kits that i ordered, as well as a few more extra free screens. i made sure not to damage the packaging so that the unit can be shipped or stored again. if arizer had some sort of case or carrying bag listed on their site i probably would have bought that too.

the only complaint i had up till this point was that the shipping could have been a little more discrete. for example, giving my email address to canada post, and the outer box showing a picture of exactly what was inside. it was however labelled as an aroma therapy device, which is essentially what is is i guess.

i do wish that i was able to find it to test, or even buy in a local shop, but i guess thats the price you pay whenever you want bleeding edge technology.
So far i've used the whip and the bag with 3 friends i had over who wanted to check it out. they've all used both volcanos and the iolite. and they were all totally impressed by this thing from start to finish. we were all shocked at the quality and quantity of vapor this machine can produce. it seems to vaporize the dry yet sticky buds i had very throughly and efficiently. i was able to quickly find an effective temperature judging by the taste of the vapor and the color of the vapo poop when it was done.
We started with the whip hits which were absolutely insane. i found between 230C and 240 delivers the best hits, 230-235 seemed to work great with the 4 of us using it. we had the unit placed in the middle of the coffee table which we were basically sitting around anyway, so the 360 rotation of the elbow joint worked perfectly for this occasion, it was just like passing a doob. 235-240 seems to work the best when slowly hooting away by myself. this unit is able to deliver one hell of a hit, and i caught myself coughing a few times just from the sheer volume of vapor coming out. i've been a daily bong smoker for almost 7 years now, and i can honestly say this thing kicked my ass, without any of the hacking fits i normally got when i smoked. another thing i found with the whip is that it's obvious right away when the herbs are finished cooking. at what ever temperature i used, i found i got nice tasty rich hits and then nothing as soon as it was done, which tells me that it's vaping the herbs perfectly. i found a neat technique to mising the bowl, when hitting with the whip, try to hit gently so as not to pull too much herb to the top screen, and every 3 or 4 hoots, take a quick fast pull to such the herbs up then lightly blow back pushing it back down and it will cycle around in the process. this works great with finely ground herb, but you might want to make sure you blow out the heating core with compressed air every now and then if you do this. this unit did not fail to impress me, even after contemplating the ssv. i'm not in any hurry to see the ssv now since this unit delivers all the vapor i can handle, and then some. the hits can be as light or rich as you like, and always manages to be quite cool when it gets to the end of the whip. a proper whip vaporizer like this is now my preferred method of delivery.
As far as we were concerned, the bagged vapor is at least on par with the volcano. leakage is not an issue if you hold the bag upright by the stem, and i found the whole bag process much easier and more effective than with the volcano. thats not to say i don't like the volcano anymore, i still think it's an excellent machine, it's just not worth the cost to me. the first bag we tested filled up like champ, you could not see through it, it was just white. but, i think i had it a bit too warm at 245 and a medium fan, but it still tasted great and hit the spot none the less. there wasn't much left of bowl after that, so i changed the herbs and filled up another 2 bags at 235, and they were both pretty damn good too. i won't be using the bags that much, but i know they will come in handy for many occasions. the only issue I had with this unit so far was my own doing. i pushed the bag stem way too far into the tubing and i had a hell of a time getting it off. i eventually rubbed a little vegetable oil on it, and pushed the tube off with the dull edge of a knife. the next few bags i only pushed it in about 1/4" and it held on great when it was filling, and came off by hand pretty easily as well.
This unit and all the accessories is probably the best $350 i've ever spent. it works great, and i'm confident it will serve a long and useful life. the unit fits in anywhere, on my desk while i play counterstrike source, it works great on the coffee table or in a party like atmosphere, and it will be great on the patio during the summer. i can honestly recommend this vaporizer to anyone. it's less than half the cost as the volcano, and sports more features, and it's still only marginally more expensive than other vaporizers with very basic feature sets. this is easily the best bang for your buck vaporizer that i've ever seen, and should be able to meet the needs of even the most demanding vapeheads.
