What's The Average Age Around Here?

I was duly initiated about a year prior to reading that book; it was a fun read. It's possible I still have that book laying around somewhere.

I used mine to persuade both my first wife and my current wife to try grass. Fortunately I won't be marrying a third time, because I love the thing too much to risk having someone read it again. It's in good shape but the glue on the spine of paperbacks dries out, then one day you open it and you realize that now you're holding two pieces.

Since I've already hi-jacked this thread, is the 'goons' in your screen name a reference to the Goons of the Goon Show?

No, actually both of my kids have screen names with goon in it and my son's nickname in high school was goon. So it just seemed natural for me to be momofthe.... :)

Do your kids play hockey (enforcers)?

I am 58, and I wish that I had found vaporizing much sooner. I've been
combusting for 40 odd years and only vaping for the last 6 months.
This community welcomes all, and it seems that the vapor allows us
to have less ego and more love and concern. I believe we are the wave
of the future and as such it looks kinda hopefull. :D
To all of you youngins, good job on embracing vaporizing.
I really envy the health benefits that you will accrue.
Spread the word and the high! :peace:

Just my son. But mostly pick up. He didn't like being in organized sports much. Didn't like being told what to do and when, but loved the game. Pity too. I think he might have had a future. But all us moms think our boys are the greatest! ;)

And I just realized that I never answer the original thread question; I'm 58.

39 next month. I always felt more like, grow up but never grow old. I just found my first gray hair on my head last week. I love it. I agree with lwien, the more you know, the more you know you don't know.

a) Hacker
b) Dr. Emmit Brown
c) Reverend Jim Ignatowski
d) Commander Kruge

I missed that question. Ok, here's my answer....

I have no idea what "Hacker" is, but I know all the rest. I watched him as Rev. Jim on Taxi when I was a kid. I loved the Back to the Future movies, and saw the first one a year after I graduated high school. I admit I'm a big Trekkie, always have been. I hated seeing him be a bad guy in Star Trek 3, and responsible for the death of Kirk's son. I do admit, though, I was happy to see Kirk kick him off that cliff.

Hey Vicki, thanks for putting the SPOILER IN :uhoh: haha.

19 here... I tend to fit in with the older crowd as well. I figure if you want life lessons, might as well get it from those who have done exactly what I will probably experience years down the road.

Hrm. I said I started toking in 1969 but I omitted my age. I just turned 63.

That makes 54 people who have given a specific age in this thread up to now. The range is from 18 to 64. The average age is 38.27777778. The median is lower, at 36, so in general we are slightly old farts. Six people said they were in their 30s and two were in their 40s, but they are not included in the statistics. The most common age is 21, four posters. Two ages have three each, 33 and 38. 12 ages are shared by two posters, 19 ages have only a single poster, and 13 ages have not been reported. I thought everyone should know. Not that I have a guilt complex over hi-jacking this thread or anything. :/

ETA: Oh great, thanks mattybass, I knew someone would do this to me.

Okay, that makes an average age 37.92727273, no change in the median, 19 increases to three posters, so only 11 ages are shared by two posters now... have I missed anything?

Grrrr!

I think I probably win for youngest seeing as I have been 18 for mere days :ko:

It is interesting to know the age group that I have been conversing with on these forums, but the age of members isn't what makes me love this site. It's the quality of the conversations and the information exchanged! In comparison with other pro-cannabis forums I would have to say that this is not only the most intelligent I have encountered, but also the most welcoming! :) It's nice to go onto a public forum and feel like I can express my true thoughts and opinions without fearing that I will begin a frenzy of hatred amongst my fellow members!

Forget if I previously stated, 51 years, 4 months, 1 day.

After surviving a heart attack in 2005 every day is a bonus.

Double angioplasty in January 2002 (bad diet, out of shape). Was smoking (sharing with wife usually) a joint a day. Told my doctors, they seemed to think it was a non-issue. I was still scared, so I stopped using weed for about two years, except for special occasions--about half a dozen times. Then my cardiologist said I had recovered completely, however, and that I was doing extremely well. So I gradually stepped up consumption until I was back to my original level.

I didn't develop any new symptoms but I still didn't feel comfortable smoking any more. I wanted a new delivery system. I knew vaguely about the Volcano (eeek price fright) but nothing about other vaporizers. When I started looking into them, I stumbled upon FC and the rest is history. Within a week I had an Ariser Extreme and eliminated combustion from my life. When I discovered the Launch Box, I knew I'd found the perfect solution for me (and my wife).

Yes, every day is a bonus, and my vaporizers make them fun.

41 but look much younger and act even younger. At the age where I now realize the damage I did as a youngster. Doing everything I can to get healthy again. Vaping has definitely helped, along with giving up analog cigs. I have a serious case of Peter Pan syndrome. My Mom is always asking me when I will "grow up and settle down". I tell her never......sex, drugs and rock & roll FOREVER.

Well, the forum rule reads, "This forum is for mature adults only" so, if we want to take that literally, you shouldn't be here being that you are not an adult.

Regarding how I feel about that? Well, personally, as long as you behave like an adult, I'm ok with it but I don't call the shots around here.
