What thread adapter?

Ah interesting. So that adapter is FOR D9/601 products to FIT 510.

My bad, thanks OF for pointing that out.

True, although the adapter is a lot cheaper.

And afterward you'll have the adapter and can then run Omicron carts......probably a better idea to start with anyway.

OF

cheaper only if the reseller doesn't want to help the OP for a mistake in ordering the wrong ones. the OP ordered the ATMOS bullet carts from Vapornation and he should have ordered the ATMOS 510 Bullet carts which Vapornation also sells. if the OP can do an even exchange then it will be cheaper to get the right carts.

Now it is true that IF Vapornation want to charge the OP fees to do an exchange (which is entirely possible) then yes getting the adapter would be cheaper. And yes, i do also acknowledge that an adapter would allow the use of D9 carts but if the OP never uses them (i had trouble with D9 carts on my EGO/510 device and have not used the adapter since my tests) then that too, is a waste of money. If the OP looks to use D9 stuff in the future though.... your suggestion is the better option

All true enough, but 'ifs'. I understand you like the exchange idea (you did bring it up twice in a very short thread) but also consider the 'best case' (where they take them back for full credit with no restock fees) he still has to pay shipping back to the return the different version. I bet that's about a push? And he'll have to wait longer to play, many guys don't like that.

And I also think he will follow the usual pattern of not being satisfied and wish to try something different, Omicrons are the 'smart money' tip there I think? How many guys start with Omicrons, 'move on' and never come back? Then consider the number of guys who buy that adapter, put it on whatever 510 battery they have and are quite happy with Omicrons. I suggest you're the only guy I know of that had negative experiences there? Right now I have 6 batteries in use driving carts, only one of them (Persei) and that's because it's got the Bender heater on it.

Difference of opinion, perhaps, based on different experiences? Just suggestions.

i only suggested the exchange as an option he should look into not one he had to take. it is one that i would do if i was in the OP's place. i agree if more money is to be forked out to do an exchange (i.e. shipping, restock fees, etc) then it does not make sense. as for the "wait to play"... i don't like to wait either but have to sometimes and yes the wait for a new adapter to be shipped versus exchanging the carts may be shorter (i say may be as Vapornation may be kind enough to ship first while waiting for the return... it's not out of the question as PV was going to do something similar for me with my GonG) but the OP STILL has to "wait"

as for your suggestion that i might be the only one that had a bad experience with D9 carts... i don't think that is really the case. there are threads in here that you and I both posted in and read where users are try and prefer other carts to the D9 ones. there's the users in the e-skillet threads and i think the ego threads that said they liked carts like the Kanger and the e-skillet carts. i even remember reading one post where a user said he was using "anonymous" carts that he liked very much.

or i may be the only one with a bad experience with D9 carts but even if that's the case.... don't you think it's prudent to let people know that i had a bad time?? this is a forum to talk about experiences, both good and bad (and i have posted about many good experiences as well... such as my surprise on how well my LV Dart works on my EGO-C)

That's not what I said. I said you were the only guy I'm aware of that regrets having bought the adapter. The huge majority of folks seem to not only like them, but many of us use more than one.

The subject of this thread is 'where can I get an adapter?'. You've given an alternative suggestion a couple of times now. I think we've beat it up about enough?

i never said i regretted buying the adapter... just said i had a bad expierience with a D9 cart thats all. my only regret for the adapter is that it does not get any use for the 5 or 6 bucks i paid for it... thats all. the adapter is fine.

i agree this is beaten to death and the OP has enough info to make the decision that is best for him. you pointed out the adapter he requested and i gave him the other alternative. enough info is there and he can decide one way or another.
