Did you catch the other story buried in that article?

"...a senior administration official said Trump will also quietly sign a bill to undo an Obama administration rule that blocked the sale of firearms to individuals who receive Social Security benefits due to a mental disability. The measure, which barred anyone on Social Security with a mental disability who needs a third party to manage their finances from purchasing a gun, was crafted in the wake of the 2012 Sandy Hook massacre as part of measures pushed by Obama to tighten background checks."

I'll go cross-post this in the the gun laws thread, as this is political insanity (pun intended) :ninja:

Just How Much Pee Is In That Pool?
The scientists calculated that one 220,000-gallon, commercial-size swimming pool contained almost 20 gallons of urine. In a residential pool (20-by-40-foot, five-feet deep), that would translate to about two gallons of pee.

I am very glad for multiple reasons. First and foremost, I hope it was reassuring to you and that it lowered your reasonable angst over the future with such an unconventional President.

Also, I really, really, really like FC and the many friends I have made here and I far prefer to find something for us to agree upon rather than always stumbling over our differences.

Did you notice the left side of the chamber (primarily Democrats) stampeded out of the room before Trump had even left the podium? It is traditional (and polite) to allow the President to leave first followed by Congressional members.

This is not necessarily a shot at the Dems, the Republicans are good at being rude also. But it does highlight to me how low comity has fallen in our Federal government and how fraught the relationships between the two major parties.

I'm afraid (yes, my turn to speculate about events which have not yet occurred) that we will still have a party of No in our Congress. Just a different party this time. :rolleyes:sigh

How about we take in all the Syrian refugees that want to come but only if we can ship our professional political class (all of them as far as I'm concerned) to Syria. Or maybe Mosul. :2c:

It was reassuring but I need to see some followup to this rather than what he typically tweets and says in order to really lower my angst but last night was a good start.

Here's hoping that he doesn't fall back into his typical MO.

Not really weird, unfortunately, but I didn't know where else to put it. If you have Gmail or Yahoo email, you may want to change your password(s)

    http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/over-1-mil...ahoo-accounts-allegedly-sale-dark-web-1609882

Over 1 million decrypted Gmail and Yahoo accounts allegedly up for sale on the Dark Web

A dark web vendor is reportedly selling over 1 million decrypted Gmail and Yahoo accounts in an underground marketplace. The accounts listed for sale allegedly contain usernames, emails and plaintext passwords.

The cybercriminal allegedly selling the accounts is believed to be using the handle "SunTzu583". The dark web vendor is allegedly selling 100,000 Yahoo accounts, from the 2012 Last.fm data breach, for 0.0079 bitcoins ($10.75). Another 145,000 Yahoo accounts from the 2013 Adobe breach and the 2008 MySpace hack were also reportedly found listed for sale, for 0.0102 bitcoins.

unTzu583 is also reportedly selling 500,000 Gmail accounts for 0.0219 bitcoins. The accounts allegedly come from the 2008 MySpace hack, the 2013 Tumblr breach and the 2014 Bitcoin Security Forum breach, according to a report by HackRead.

    Karma Kills:
Veteran big game hunter dies after elephant, felled by gunfire, collapses on him

Theunis Botha led his first guided hunting safari through South Africa's grasslands in 1989. A college student at the time, he used the money he received to help put himself through school.

Over the following 28 years, Botha expanded his college side-gig into a full-fledged business, setting up private hunting ranches in Zimbabwe, Botswana, South Africa and elsewhere, and drawing clients from around the world. He won a reputation as a sought-after specialist in leopard and lion hunting, and pioneered a new method of using hounds to track big game, according to his hunting company's website.

On Friday, after countless treks into the African wilderness, the 51-year-old embarked on his final hunt.

Botha was leading a group of hunters western Zimbabwe on Friday afternoon when they stumbled upon a breeding herd of elephants in Hwange National Park, the Telegraph reported.

Startled, three elephant cows charged the group. Botha opened fire, according to News24, but a fourth elephant rammed him from the side, lifting him with her trunk. One of his fellow hunters then fired a shot. The elephant collapsed on top of Botha, killing him, News24 reported.
