I want to begin by stating that I have a condition which requires being medicated 24/7 and I have developed quite a high tolerance. I bought a Launch Box after reading pages and pages of reviews on the net. Almost all of them talked about how amazing it was, but every so often I would come across someone who was blatantly unsatisfied. I figured it was just user error, due to the steep learning curve, and went ahead and ordered one. Now however, I see why the nasty reviewers were confused. The Launch Box does not put out enough vapor for high tolerance users. Most of the people reviewing the box have relatively normal tolerances, and that creates a lot of confusion for someone looking for a hard hitting portable. To create even more confusion, Magic Flight market their product by saying how "efficient" it is, even going so far to say that some people notice a stronger high from the Launch Box. This may be true for some, but for me and other high tolerance users I know, the Launch Box does not deliver enough vapor to work effectively. I truly think it would be beneficial, for both Magic Flight and the high tolerance users giving bad reviews, to state that it is not a heavy hitter but it will make your stash last, and that is what they mean by efficiency.

The Arizer Solo

The Solo is a damn good although not completely revolutionary vaporizer. Its greatest strengths are its robust cloud production, high efficiency, seemingly good build quality, and in theory, its internal, Lithium Ion battery. It really is an impressive piece of equipment, feeling almost like a very high end smartphone, or the nicest taser ever made. It's heavy and made out of a finely finished metal, most likely aluminum. The airpath is separated from the battery and circuitry, being drawn through the air holes visible on the top of the unit, then channeling under the bowl before coming up through the glass stem. It comes with two glass stems, which while of acceptable build quality, could be far nicer and ergonomically satisfying. They're just open tubes, for instance, with no "mouthpiece" to speak of, and with very thin borosilicate glass. I've had zero problems with them whatsoever, but a nicer mouthpiece would be nice. The solo gives very dense vapor for a portable! And of any portable vaporizer I've ever used, it has the smallest learning curve. Almost any rate of draw, any newbie technique, will provide some degree of satisfying, dense vapor - this is a portable you could share with a stranger at a loud concert! It can also be used with a 14mm female GonG jointed glass piece - just plug the mouthpiece into the downstem. The Solo is very good at this trick, almost a replacement for a DBV or Extreme Q or Magickwand type vape for water usage.

My biggest problem with the Solo is the battery life. You will only get, say, 7 - 12 bowls of it. While this is not terrible, it is not the all-day solution I was hoping for, and is nowhere near the claimed battery life many sellers and the manufacturers are claiming. I'm getting about 1 hour, 15 minutes of battery life roundabout, not the two or even six hours some are claiming. The unit cannot be used while plugged in with the factory charger - an additional charger has to be bought from the manufacturer for none too cheap - so you will literally have a time when you just can't vaporize, even if you have access to an outlet. The instructions were lackluster. The unit also emits a vague, hot electrical transformer type smell - I smelled it from like 3 feet away a little while ago when it was empty and heated up to about 5.

So you have to ask yourself, is the high build quality, very good-to-excellent vapor quality, high efficiency and low learning curve worth dealing with "range anxiety," just like laptop and smartphone users deal with everyday? You may smoke or use another vaporizer just to save your Solo battery for later in the day, for instance - and that's not the fantasy I had when I bought the Solo. It is, in truth, a very good vaporizer, make no mistakes about it! But know the limitations of its battery when you make your purchase. Also, Arizer insists on a policy of only honoring warranties purchased from authorized dealers. I assume this website is one, but be wary of it all the same. It's a very bothersome policy holdover from their Extreme line. 4/5

---------------------------

MFLB: An excellent, sturdy, low tech piece of American ingenuity. There is a significant learning curve to overcome for many, and this will make it hard to share with friends at first. Vapor quality is very high for a portable with proper technique, and it's the stealthiest vaporizer widely available without getting into E cigarette type contraptions. Highly recommended. 5/5

----

Note: if I were to win, the new Solo would be given to a family member with medical needs, not sold off.

My review: the SSV, The Silver Surfer Vaporizer

The Silver Surfer is in my opinion the best of the whip style vaporizers.
Pros:
- Downward angled heat source. Much less worry about herbs falling into the element... This makes it so that you can vaporize hash and oils in this vaporizer too! It's very tasty and works very well!!
- A bowl of hash lasts a very long time in here. Giving off hits all day usually.
- Fast heat up time (3-5 min)
- Glass vapor path with an enclosed ceramic heater free of contaminated air ways (cleaner air path than most other vaporiozers because it keeps the air path separate from the units internals)
- Hose fits right into 14mm down stems meaning no adapter is really required for use with a bong for water filtration
- 3 types of heater connections available. Standard, Ground Glass (hands free), and Spherical ground glass (The suction of GG, but some of the control of the standard) [standard seems to be the personal favorite among most people, myself included]
- Cool filter and vapor tamer accessories from 7th floor
- Aroma top accessory turns the vaporizer into an aromatherapy device too.
- Comes with an awesome hemp carrying case for safe travel
- Customizable with different colors and even custom engraving on several locations available.
- Great reliability, you can leave it on all day provided you have it in a safe place.
- Cool glass work on the knob, Heater cover and wand w/mouth piece comes standard with unit. further customization an option if you wish.
- 10 ft heavy duty power cord
- Made of metal and very sturdy. Well designed. It is easy to grab and not get burned while handling (knock on wood... yet to be burned with it)
- Produces very thick rips that are very tasty.
- Continues going on for a long time. You might think the herb is spent, take a rip and often you will be pleasantly surprised!
- Discounts available though FC affiliated vendors (I saved 10% this way)
- 3 year warranty with extended warranty options available

Cons:
- A little expensive compared to other whip vapes (269 retail + more if you wish to customize. You get what you pay for really though.
- Glass parts are breakable (I recommend ordering a spare heater cover and/or wand with your purchase. You do not want to risk waiting for a replacement part down the road)
- a little bulky to carry around with you, but is a great desktop/home use vaporizer. I put it inside a backpack to bring it places.

Use:
- Plug it in dial it to you preferred temperature zone. I find different strains are actually better at a lower temperature than others.
Draw speed is important and you will find this too. too slow, and you risk igniting your herbs! Too fast and it will be too cold to give off proper vapor. It's a Goldie Locks zone type idea here.
- Stirring after every hit is a good idea too, this will ensure even vaporizing, and better taste throughout the session.
- Near the end of the bowls life I turn up the temperature a little bit to finish it off.
- Dump the remains into a jar and pack some more!

So this is my review I hope you have a better idea if this vaporizer is for you or not.

The key points are this is it's a fantastic home use vaporizer that packs big thick hits that is great for a crowd or just by yourself. It does concentrates as well and is very solidly built.

Magic Flight Launch Box

I've been using the Magic Flight Launch Box for almost 2 years, and I love it. It conserves cannabis like nothing I've ever seen, but also gets me extremely medicated. It's portable and battery powered, but an A/C adapter can be purchased as well!

I've used it at all kinds of places a person could never smoke cannabis. For example....the Super Walmart bathroom, movie theatre bathrooms, and once in the theatre because it was mostly empty....at the mall bathroom, basically, I feel safe using it in any public bathroom. I even used it once at a glow in the dark putt-putt course. That was really trippy. Theme parks too, wont specify which ones, though. I carry it everywhere, and can medicate whenever I need to for pain relief. This thing is perfect for medical cannabis users, but the stealth factor makes it a great vaporizer for everyone, IMO. The smell is almost non-existent, and easily controlled depending on how slow or fast a person draws.

I can't live without mine, and give it a 10/10! :)

Magic Flight Launch Box Review:

I have been using my MFLB for over a year and have found it to be an incredible portable vaporizer. It is extremely efficient in addition to being durable and discrete.

Pros:
-Efficient: One trench holds about .11 grams of material and it only takes me about 1/5 of a trench to get me where I want to be
-Durable: My box has survived multiple drops to hard surfaces and due to the lack of moving parts still works like a champ; also no material even spilled out because of the plexiglass cover
-Stealthy: The small size allows it to easily fit in the palm of my hands and produces very little visible vapor or smell (many have used it in crowded movie theaters or in buildings)
-Control: Since your breathing controls the temperature, with some practice you can get up to as high or low a temperature as you want which is not an option for other fixed-temperature vaporizers
-Fast: 3-5 seconds for vapor makes it incredibly easy to have vapor whenever and wherever you please
-Portable: Uses rechargeable AA batteries which each last around 2-3 trenches; the two supplied are more than enough for a full day but I have extras for when using with friends
-Taste: Incredible taste; I actually savor the taste as opposed to the disgusting flavor of smoke
-Warranty: Magic Flight offers an astounding lifetime warranty so if anything goes wrong with your box they will send you a new one free of charges
-Power Adapter: An A/C power adapter can be purchased so that you don't need to worry about using or charging batteries; it has an adjustable temperature dial to give maximum control of the temperature and allows for maximum power for every hit
-Water-Pipe Adapter: Magic Flight has recently come out with a water-pipe adapter so that you can run your MFLB through water for increased comfort
-Customizability: There are many skins or different types of stems you can put on your box to suit your preference
-Cheap: It is very inexpensive compared to other vaporizers and with the warranty it will be a lifetime vaporizer

Cons:
-Learning Curve: There is a very steep learning curve especially for people new to vaporization; it will take new people many uses before they get the hang of it and it is very possible that some people will accidentally combust in your box but this risk and learning curve can be diminished greatly by using the power adapter
-Combustion: Since the temperature is controlled by pull speed it is very possible to combust in these boxes; I have never combusted but my (former) friend did on his first use with it
-Groups: This is designed to be a personal vaporizer so it can be an issue to use with groups especially if not everyone knows how to use it; if you have extra batteries or ideally the power adapter it can be used with groups with much more ease

The Magic Flight Launch Box is a truly wonderful vaporizer. It provides reliable vapor wherever and whenever you want it. The very few and minimal drawbacks are diminished greatly by the addition of the power adapter. If you are in the market for a portable vaporizer this is definitely the one to get. And the Magic Flight company is the greatest company I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. You can't go wrong with Magic Flight.

Aplogies for yet another MFLB review!

Magic Flight Launch Box

I bought the MFLB several months ago and I have been delighted with my purchase, but I feel there is are some misconceptions surrounding the product. The MFLB is not suitable for than two people (unless you stock up on rechargeable batteries, an inconvenient but effective solution), it's not going to get you ripped quickly like a bong, and it's probably not going to quite cut it for those with high tolerances.

When you understand these limitations, you can start to see where the MFLB shines. It's tiny, silent and releases minimal odor, allowing for unparalleled stealth vaping in just about any location imaginable (you'd be amazed by what you can get away with). It's fast; the box reaches full heat in under three seconds, so the set up time is pretty much only limited by how quick you can grind. When used with only one or two people, and given five or ten minutes to really take effect, the MFLB can provide a surprisingly strong high from only two or three trenches (which uses about as much material as a relatively small joint). Just take your time!

Bottom line: it's fantastic as long as you bear in mind it's purpose and application. For simplicity, size, speed, speed, stealthiness and a consistently enjoyable high you can't go past the MFLB. If getting as stoned as humanly possible is your aim, or you're usually vaping in a group, look elsewhere.

Supreme Vaporizer Review : The "Portable Power House"

Pre-Purchase Inspection: I was on the fence about purchasing this vaporizer because at the time there wasn't a lot of user feedback on the device and the video's of usage were very limited. I decided to be risky so i pulled the trigger and contacted Ed and he sent me an invoice and i received my vaporizer soon after.

Initial Thoughts(Before Use): Wow, this thing isn't very big. I said this while holding the unit in the palm of my hand.

Contents of my package.
-A small micro butane torch(empty)
-The Whip(Food/medical grade tubing)
-The Supreme Vaporizer(Body Unit)
-The Orange Downstem(Whip Connector and Mouthpiece)
-Hooked Strainless Steel Screens(To restrain vaporizing material in the chamber)
-A very well worded brief manual on usage and maintenance

Preparation and Operation:

-Grind your material until it is to your preference(Coarse/Fine)
-Turn the Supreme Vaporizer(Body Unit) upside-down
-Drop your material inside of the heating chamber(Pack loosely to provide air circulation)
-Place a Stainless Steel Screen over the chamber(Push it down so it stays flushed against the chamber)
-Turn the supreme vaporizer upright
-Place Orange Downstem inside of the Supreme Vaporizer(push it against the stainless steel screens)
-With the unit facing yourself press the small black button on your Left.(Wait for the digital LED Temperature Readout to warm up.)
-Heating Source[Torch]- Place the flame on the unit's aluminum heating element until you reach your desired Temp.
-To double check the Temperature Readout, Press the small black button on your right.(The LED backlight will activate and you will clearly see the temperature of the heating element)
-Once you've reached your desired temperature, turn off the torch or move it away from the flame.
-Place the Supreme either on a water pipe or Place the whip inside the unit Or Inhale directly from the unit itself.

-Heating Source[Stove Top]- Turn on the stove top element you plan on using and wait for it to turn light red.
-Press the small black button on your left to turn on the Digital LED Temp Readout and wait for it to warm up
-Place the heating element directly on to the hot stove element.[DO NOT LEAVE UNATTENDED]
-Wait for the heating element to reach your desired temperature then take it off the stove element.
-Turn off the stove element if you don't plan on using it again.[Save electricity]
-Now inhale and enjoy the vapor from your supreme.

Waiver-These are the steps i use and the procedure i use with my supreme.

First Impressions(After first successful use): Outstanding! It only took one minute for me to heat the unit to my desired temp(290F) then i proceed to inhale..I was amazed by the sheer volume of the cloud of vapor i exhaled.Chills ran up my spine as i re-heated my unit ready to proceed with Round 2.I was simply blown away at the performance of the Supreme Vaporizer.

Production Details:

-Each unit is hand made in the U.S.A by the inventor.
-Supreme vaporizer is a product of Woodworking and Metal Fabrication
-Each unit is engraved, buffed and grinded.
-Each Heating element is engraved and welded, cleaned and tested before shipment.
-Heating element is composed of High Temperature Aluminum.
-Wood used for the body of the Supreme vaporizer is African Mahogany Wood.
-Stainless Steel Screens(when i purchased them, i believe now they are brass)
-Food/Medical grade tubing.
-Digital temperature read out
-Heat up time is 1 minute or less.

Safety and Precautions:

-This vaporizer is not a toy and should be handled with extreme care and caution.
-On The heating element "HOT Caution" is engraved in the side of the element.
-The heating element can become hot enough to cause first and second degree burns, or start a fire if it lands on something that's flammable or can catch fire when heated.
-Its best to use this vaporizer in a familiar area, with a designated spot to handle the vaporizer and to place it when not in use.
-Make sure you provide the torch/stove top with your undivided attention while using them and make sure you turn them off when you aren't using them.

Applications:
Various ways you can use the device..
-Direct Method-placing the downstem/mouthpiece bewteen your lips and inhaling
-Whip Method-placing the whip inside of the downstem and inhaling so that the vapor has time to cool down before reaching your lungs.
-Water Tool Method-Place downstem in the downstem of a water pipe or bubbler and inhale, doing this will help cool down the vapor as well as adding moisture to your hits.(This is one of the most popular methods seeing as some users feel vapor without the aid of a water tool is dry and somewhat harsh.)

The Supreme used with Water Tool Method

Performance:
I've been using the supreme vaporizer for about a year now and i haven't had any malfunctions or errors that I've heard others user having. So far its been smoothing sailing with operation and preparation of my unit.Every time i heat my unit, its safe to expect large amount of vapor to be extracted once i inhale and exhale. My supreme has had no problems milking up the various water tools I've had in my possession. This vaporizer does a top notch job at obtaining both blue vapor, white vapor.

There are video's showcasing the different types of vapor and efficiency.[Each vid was taken with one bowl load.]
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-puLbOd_1s
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XITe9I5WbNg

Aesthetics/Design:
I love wood.I have wooden tables,Wooden speakers, Hardwood floors.I think you get it.
African Mahogany is beautiful, strong and has a very next texture and aroma to it.You can taste subtle accents of the wood when you use the supreme.
This vaporizer is pretty fun to look at, its like a small wooden computer, with an heatsink on the top.It looks very well polished and the engravings on the wood and aluminum are very superb. Also the milling and welding is pretty exceptional.

Aluminum heating element, is basically designed like a parking garage. There are multiple layers of aluminum that are encased in a cube gives the unit a 1.5 ft path for air to be heated before reaching the chamber where your material is held. Most vaporizers that have a ceramic heating element only have 2 inches heat/air exchange because of the size of the element and design of the vaporizer. The Aluminum heating element also offers great heat retention letting you take multiple hits off one heating of the unit. The Supreme's element allows for your air to be uniformly heated as it passes through and creates thick vapor for your consumption.

Here is a video of the heating element's heat retention.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SqJJQcT7ng8

qsrrj4.jpg

Digital Temp Readout, lets you control what type of vapor you will consume. You choose what temp you vaporize at. Now the Digital temp readout only indicates the temperature of the heating element and not the actual vapor that you will be consuming, but its very nice because it gives you an idea of the general ball park you will be in. With my unit 270-290F normally give me very light fresh blue vapor with a bounty of flavor and taste, whereas 300-330F gives me thick white vapor which is very heavy and aromatic. If you continue to venture with the temperature around 365 and Up you will find yourself enjoying a very dense/creamy vapor and smoke hybrid some people might find this undesirable and i agree its more of an acquired taste but its defiantly nice to have the option available.

15oi7n5.jpg

Learning Curve:
The Learning Curve is almost non existent.
Only thing you will need to play with is the temperatures you use and that can be very entertaining once you've documented your favorite degrees.

Overall Experience:

This is a great device for someone who is already has experience using vaporizers, i would never suggest this unit to someone who is a beginner. Seeing as it takes a lot of responsibility and concentration to have a successful experience without any consequences.Supreme vaporizer offers huge amounts of vapor off small amounts of material due to the design of the heating element and the vapor path which makes this great for someone craving large lungfuls of vapor but not at the loss of efficiency. The supreme vaporizer is also an amazing investment for someone who has a large glass water pipe collection. Now this vaporizer is great for 1-3 people, but larger "Party" situations is this vaporizers weakness along with having a very hot heating element exposed. All in all i am glad i made the investment and purchased a supreme vaporizer. The anniversary of my purchase is coming up soon and i know exactly how to celebrate, and hopefully by that time Ed(the inventor & seller) will have created his electrical supreme unit.

Thanks for Throwing this awesome contest VaporNation, Much appreciated!! :)

This Canadian entry into the portable market seems well built at first blush. Feels solid. My mouthpieces fit quite snugly. Fully charged it, heated it to 3 and began testing.

The draw is very restrictive. Feels like an over packed PD stem. I could tell I was getting medicine delivery even if the pull was kind of hard. Would not recommend this for people who have a difficult time sucking hard. :brow:

Good flavor on the first few hits. Not really getting the lung hit that I savor as a former cigarette smoker. Kept puffing for about 5 minutes and started to pick up the electronics taste which is still in my mouth as I write this 10 minutes later.

The effect is profound. I am very medicated. I'm a little worried about the smell and taste. Perhaps it will burn off as time goes by. But the effect is there and the Solo provides efficient results.

I think my biggest issue as far as portability is the glass stems. Not that it's so hard to carry them, but that they scream "Smoking crack over here man!" The other issue for me is the heat up and loading time which makes stealth vaping more difficult. The MFLB is still the stealth leader. If you do it right no one will see it. The Iolite can hide in plain sight. The Solo is too conspicuous.

I think this thing has real possibilities for revision. It could be a great walk around the house wireless vape if the smell issue can be solved. I would really like to have a little better airflow. Mine is VERY tight. I would like a look that blends in better and does not scream "look at me!" I feel like the plastic heating cover is going to break off eventually. Overall I'm impressed on some levels, not crazy about the hit or the taste, and not really sure if it really fits my lifestyle.

After a lot of research I chose the LSV for my next vape purchase. I chose the LSV for its versatility, design, and 7th Floor's previous vapes. The customized glass options are endless. I medicate several times a day and have owned or used about every vape on the market and I felt the LSV would be a great investment.

Travel bag: The hemp travel bag is very nice. The exterior is made of woven hemp with nylon strap handles. There is a zippered side pocket and another side pocket that is not zippered. The main compartment is accessed by double zippers that allow the bag to be opened fully for easy access to all inside pockets. I wish it had beefier lockable double zipper like a laptop bag or suitcase. The inside of the bag is thickly padded black velvet. There are two long pockets that are the length of the glass wand and 6 smaller. All pockets are thickly padded. Inside the pockets I found the glass transfer wand, glass pick, and user instructions with extra screens. The travel bag loaded with LSV and everything included weighed in at 2lbs 12oz.

Construction: The LSV feels very solid in my hand. The LSV is made of anodized aluminum. It is larger and heavier than I expected, weighing in at 13oz (20oz including cord) 9" long, and 1 in diameter. The power cord is 10 foot long with 3 prong grounded plug. There are 2 pieces that screw on and off the main housing. The first is the top cap which gives more access to the glass heater cover for use with the water pipe adapter. The 2nd piece is the heat shield. This is the section with drilled holes that surrounds the glass heater cover. The glass heater cover is also removable which exposes the raw ceramic element. With the heater cover removed the element can be used as a butane-free flame-less lighter similar to a Phedor. Everything about the construction seems perfect. I am impressed with the machined aluminum and drilled holes. The LSV power and temp are controlled by dial identical to Da Buddha. There is an orange power light under the dial that matches the glow of the ceramic element.

Glass: The LSV uses a ceramic heating element inside a glass heater cover similar to the SSV and DBV. The glass direct transfer wand has a male connection that fits inside the heater cover. Both the wand and heater cover have screens to trap the herbs in the middle. All glass pieces are thick and heavy. Others have mentioned a less than perfect glass heater cover. I did not have this issue. The heater cover of my LSV is perfectly straight and connections are tight with the transfer wand and water pipe adapter.

First use: I plugged the LSV in and turned the temp to full for 10 minutes to cook off anything from the factory. I then dialed the temp back to 12 o'clock and waited a few minutes for it to reach the desired temp. The power light and heating element both had a bright orange/red glow. I loaded the glass transfer wand with suction similar to log vape tube. The male end of the transfer wand fits firmly into the heater cover. I slowly inhaled until I felt my lungs were full. I exhaled a colossal cloud of milky vapor! The taste was very pure, definitely the best tasting vape I have ever used. I stirred the bowl after every few hits and eventually the AVB was evenly browned. The bowl size and design is efficient but I would like to see a smaller bowl transfer wand offered for better efficiency. (If not I will order one custom) One thing I did not like about the transfer wand method is loose herb spilling into the heater cover. Unlike the SSV and DBV the LSV does not have gravity on its side to keep out herb. A screen is in place to help prevent this but small partials can still get through. I was able to fit the screen better than it arrived from the factory and this seems to be much better. This will not be an issue at all when used with the water pipe adapter setup due to gravity.

My views: I believe this is currently the best vape for the money. I consider the LSV to be near perfect and pointed out the only minor faults I could find. I am really impressed with the quality and versatility of the LSV and it is now my most used vape. The LSV has great future potential with new accessories like the Glycerin Tube and I am sure this is just the start.
I would definitely recommend the LSV to any serious vaporizer enthusiast.

Update: 7th Floor re-designed the water pipe adapter and heater cover due to customer feedback. The previous water pipe adapters did not hold the screen in place and would easily flip when stirred. The new adapter features miniature pinches in the glass to hold the screen in place. The new heater cover has a smaller air intake and adds a better spherical ground glass connection for use with the water pipe adapter. Here is a video of the LSV in action with water pipe adapter. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUE7Ft2nAxs

Ash057,
I decided to vaporize because of health reasons. Because of the wide variety of choices, I looked at as many vaporizer reviews as I could to assist me in selecting one. While I wanted a Volcano, I really couldn't afford one so I looked to see what other vaporizers offered the same features but were much cheaper in cost but not quality. I eventually decided to buy an Arizer Extreme Q because it offered the same quality vapor as the Volcano at over half of its cost. It did not disappoint. It was much smaller and sexier than the Volcano (it is shaped similarly so that it has a wider base streamlined into a narrower top so that it doesn't topple over) was less intrusive, was "extremely" easy to use, provided great quality vapor, and was very easy to clean. (A word to the wise, you MUST regularly clean the removable parts.) I also could use regular turkey bags purchased over the internet (as low as 50 centers per bag) as replacement bags so that it was not very costly to operate, as well. It also has very few parts so that when I accidentally broke the glass elbow which goes from the vaporizer bowl to the bag, it was very easy to obtain a replacement at very low cost from the manufacturer. I have been beyond happy with my purchase and 3 of my friends who were also interested in vaporizing who I convinced to also purchase the Extreme Q are also very happy with their purchase.

I admit that when you first start to use a vaporizer rather than a joint/blunt/bowl it does take some getting used to. At first it seems as though you are not as affected as you are when you smoke as smoking produces more of an instant dose of medicine than vaporizing. The difference to me is that vaporizing produces a much longer and more effective dose of medicine. It is also much easier to perform "regular" tasks when you vaporize than by smoking and the dosage is much more even. Thus, for people who must medicate, vaporizers really are the best means of inhalation as they are safe and save your lungs from the ugly and dangerous byproducts that are produced when the medicine is inhaled by smoking.:)

wow sipping on some Fat Tire and saw this cool contest in the knick of time, here is my review on the last vape I bought, the little known HDvape http://www.etsy.com/shop/HDvape?order=date_desc&page=1
A glass connoisseur is always on the search for the cleanest, smoothest hit, a vape connoisseur is usually doing just the same. Thus many people have tried to combine them with fancy whip attachments and all sorts of gizmos, but that old fashioned art of loading a bowl lighting then inhaling is lost....This is why I was drawn to the 'HDvape waterpipe adapter', another reason was that it was local in Seattle. I sent him a message and got a prompt response, I was able to talk him down $10 and go pick it up in person, so not only was it more personal but he also happened to be less then 2 miles away from my house, score! So when I picked it up he told me just make sure the product is nice and dry for the best hit and reccomended a normal bic for the heat souce; this is where the problem begins.
I attached it on my lil 7' mini GoG and tried to use a bic, and while the whole setup sure looked awesome the problem was that it took an extremely long time to get a hit with this method, Im talking at least 60 seconds of drawing....it was very frustrating basically inhaling pure butane then exhaling nothing, now when it finally got hot enough and started to vape all I have to say is bliss, I have tried a Volcano and this tasted just as good, fat vapor clouds and a very nice high. I came to realize he meant the bud needs to be dry as a bone, the hits did come faster this way, I would take a hair dryer and get the bud super dried out and not even use a grinder, just crumble it with my finger(I've heard drying to such extremes loses THC,I am not sure), I then went to a torch lighter as I was going through bics like mad and while it worked faster you are basically just inhaling a more concentrated source of butane, I went as far as to sticking the bowl piece on top of the hair dryer to get it nice and hot, anything to inhale less butane. The hits were always very tasty but after a while I realized it was just a fallacy, I am inhaling my thc healthier only to inhale minimum of 10 times more butane then combustion, a gas that has caused unexpected rapid death. I gave it to my friend and he devoloped a method with the stove but eventually got frustrated with it as well. All in all I would have to say the customer service is superb , he is willing to do custom however you like, the product is a good rival to the vapor genie, and if you miss the art of 'smoking' with vaping give it a shot the hits ARE wonderful;but this has to be one of the least healthy ways to enjoy that vapor goodness.

Wow, im here sitting at my desk eating lunch and I very much look forward to getting home and hooking up with my pal MJ I felt my best pastime right now would be to check the forums. Well, low and behold I see this contest and, well why not take a shot.

I feel obligated to review the No2 by Vapir as it's not only my most recent purchase but I dont think its getting enough chat here and truly believe this little guy is a champ. We can all talk about the MFLB as so many have since it seems to be what I consider the vape-dujour around these parts. I would like to also mention that my review is souley my opinion and that it is only done for the purpose of entering this contest. Please yield from any attacks or opinions anyone may have.

I bought the No2 about 2 months ago after alot of research on where I should spend my money making a new addition to the mvape family. A number of aspects were taken into consideration when making my choice but the most important were price, portability, ease of use, and of course cloudability! So, with that being said lets go over my findings and my decision was a good one!

Pro's

Price - at 179 bucks out the door it certainly swayed my vote against the SSV or the Solo as these were two of my other choices.
Portability - This thing can go anywhere with me. With its rechargable battery (which it can be used while charginging)and the car adapter the No2 has paved the way for a few great roadtrips as well as sessions at friends houses. It's easy enough to conceal for travel as well, and it fits perfectly in just about any sac or carry case I have. I have a riot case that seems as if it was made for it.
Ease of use - Aside from learning the draw and inhale technique theres pretty much a ZERO learning curve. Unless of course your toasted its as simple as set the temp, hit start, and wait for the green light and your off on a trip to lala-land!
Cloudability - For me, this thing hits the nail right on the head. Compared to my IO and my MFLB the no2 is king when it comes to clouds. I set my temp for first couple of draws at 362 and slightly increase every few pulls until theres no visible vapor. But during the session the No2 never dissapoints, its like the little vaporizer that wont quit. A full session will leave me rocked compared to the MF or the IO and I do consider myself a self proclaimed heavy hitter. Ive been toking for 24 years and my tolerance IMHO is high.
Battery Life - A full charge of the battery will last me 3 solid sessions, each session lasting around 10 - 15 minutes. Keep in mind that the unit needs to be turned fully off (side button)to last for sure.

Now for the Con's

Stink - Although Vapir mentioned that they were able to eliminate the awkward taste and smell during the break in period they, well, actually they have NOT. The tube and mouthpiece need to be soaked for the first 24 hours to aleveate the plasticy taste and the unit itself has to be run at high temp for a bit prior to use to burn of the factory stank!!
Cleaning - One would think that a simple shake and quick brushing would remove all abv and that is in fact bologna! First of all the brush supplied is IMO way to soft, I replaced it with a much heavier grade bristle that I bought at local headshop. As far as shaking, the only way the shake works is that you have to empty the unit as soon as your session is complete. If it cools down at all the oils re-solidify and this process will be as useful as tits on a bull. The No2 needs a solid daily brusing in order to keep the unit cherry or else the inside will be covered in ABV and you become at risk of combustion. THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED TO ME AS OF YET!!
The mouthpiece screens - Oh boy are they a pain in the ass!! Once you've opened your brand new No2 you will see that there a top hat shaped screen below the moutpiece. Its kept in tact by a plastic valve that with a simple twist (similar to a child-protective medicine top)will come off revealing the screen for cleaning and or replacing. Well, that screen is barely molded and is actually quite soft making placement of the cap while keeping the shape difficult. Now, on top of all that difficulty...try it stoned! It's ridiculous.
The cord - Last but not least I come to the home charging cord. I admit it works, it charges nicely but I am so aggravated by its fit into the No2 that I rather use my car charger. The way the connector is always seems loose, and almost as if its not in all the way. I was told by other users that vapir designed it that way to enable oneself to mainpulate the card easily so that the L shaped connector doesn't effect thte units stance. I for one call bullshit on that!!

Well that wraps up my unproffesionally written review of the No2 and for what its worth, I find this vaporizer to be one of my favorites. Its quick heat up, cloud making ability, and portability make the No2 a no brainer for me. When considering the price in comparison to similar units makes it a Slam Dank!!! :D

I hope anyone who takes my review seriously and it helps making their purchase a little easier.

Here is a submission that was sent via email and received Honorable Mention...

Heres my honest review of a vape
this ones wood, in cylindrical shape.
And with these few words
(though they might sound absurd),
I can tell you about a fine vape.

Purple Days aint no greedy fat herb hog.
Its a super-efficient pro vape log --
From the tiniest stems
Of pretty green gems,
It produces nice big clouds of sweet fog!

Less portable than the vape known as Solo,
PDs car-charger on bikes is a no-go
Though not best for roaming
Its awesome at-homing,
The PD gives me a nice warm glow.

Please hear me, dear VaporNation
Here is the point of my narration:
PDs a beaut, no doubt,
but to smile AND hike-out
A Solo would be my salvation!
