i still think a GonG bowl would be a good thing... i use the VB this way all the time. and i like it.. but the seal could be a lot better..

Can you tell me what you mean about the seal being better? I could maybe hook you up with some bare parts if you really like this setup. (message me if interested) Sorry the vape is so bulky and looks ridiculous in this position ;) but perhaps we can customize something to work like this.

Just got my Vaporbrothers, loving it and it works great, had no issue figuring it out,was afraid I was gonna mess up my first go around.

Quick question, how much essential oils do you guys/girls use in the holder? I bought some at the health store near me and was wondering, the one that came with it was only about 10 percent full, sample I am guessing, it didn't seem enough to produce much scent, I had it on the lowest like it said in the booklet for about an hour, should I try hiring it or will that just make it evaporate quick? Don't wanna waste to much...

Also love the LED's, somehow you picked my two favorite colors ;)!

It would be cool to see options (even if they cost more) to 'miniturize' the wood box enclosure, have a retractable or self wind-up cord, LED color choices or even color changing LED lights.

Everyone loves to customize their stuff, right?

Edit:
Btw, got the ceramic 2-piece whip and that was the best upgrade since the hands free design

My suggestion to all VB users and other box vape owners is to try and get a 2 piece whip. Best purchase for my box vape ever!. It keeps the herb in place (that is centre of the screen) where the main concentration of heat is and the cooking is very even. I want a VB coz it's the only named vap I can buy in NZ without having to import something but finding it hard to plumb up the $399 when my shitty chinese vap is still going strong! That's 5 years strong!!! Damn die fucker die!!!

I don't seem to have an issue with the hands free whip, I mean the herb kinda gets close to the element when placing it on but never seems to burn at all. Whats the advantage really? Besides having to screw it on and off when its hot? This it btw out of curiosity?

Oh my gawd, that healthvapor is a heinous knockoff! Use ours and save the pcb's! Here's the glass one, and the indestructible ceramic one (which is also much lower cost). And here are all the whip parts and kits- We allow you to buy replacements of everything singly if you need.

The biggest advantage of the break-apart Easy Whip Kit is that you can change the screen whenever you want. You can substitute the metal screen for our ceramic screen, making the hot zone all ceramic & glass. If you break the tip (ground glass joints can break if swung around and smack the table) you can buy just the tip and not have to spring for a whole new whip.

So sorry your essential oil sample dried up. The orange oil we were using smells better to more people but is more volatile and evaporates quickly. I can send a replacement any time for no charge to anybody, so message me.

Mix with water so the essential oil floats on top. The aroma bulb is made to run cool if it goes empty. Turn up, sure, but it's best if essential oil doesn't exceed about 125F.

Ahh I see, might wanna get one of those later on, for now the one it came with seems pretty alright, that does sound like a nice advantage actually.

I see, yeah it did seem a bit dry, its no big deal, already got some from the store. I had one more question, my Vapor Brothers seems kinda wobbly so I checked underneath and two of the feet are misplaced a bit(One more then the other by a lot, don't think the one thats misplaced a tiny bit is effecting it), could that be why?

Yes, or it's just the tolerances in wood that are making the front a little different angle than the back. Most units wobble very slightly. Try ripping off the foot and repositioning it.

For anybody who has had their feet fall off, we send new ones to you for no charge. Message me if you don't mind a delayed response, or contact us at our website.

Oh so they come off to be repositioned easy? Good to know, will try that, hope it goes well, it wobbles more then slightly, afraid it will fall since it almost happened twice .

Thanks.

Actually, there are a couple reasons the design is practically flawless.
The ceramic screens are reusable and i usually get some pretty good reclaim from a well used one.
Swapping in a spare is a snap and your good to go. Changing those metal screens were a PITA (IMO).
I believe the all-ceramic whip stays cooler than glass (better thermal conductivity). Both the newer 2-pc whips should be cooler as the silicone sleeve will block some heat.

The only downside with the all-ceramic whip, you can no longer see your herb when connected to the heater. VB, do you know if the glass joint will mate up with the ceramic tube? It's not a big deal, but that would be sweet.

42wenty, are you asking if the glass EZ change whip tip will work with the ceramic ez change whip? If so the answer is yes. Vaporbrothers are currently shipping the Hands Free Vaporizer with a combination Glass/Ceramic EZ Change Whip (the tip is glass, the handle and mouthpiece are ceramic).

One disadvantage to using that whip with a Vaporbrothers is the diameter is too large for the Vaporbrothers element and this will allow air to leak in from the sides. That whip is 18.8mm and the VB whips are approx. 16mm. You are going to get the best performance from your Vaporbrothers if all the air is pulled through the center of the heat element.

Moving the feet worked fine, thanks for all the help :-)

Much more steady now, only a slight wobble, does not effect it though.

Would a fan blowing on the VB unit affect the ability of the unit to heat properly? I'm sitting in front of a tower fan and I am having to turn the vape up more than usual. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

IMO yes.. i feel my ceiling fan effects my vapor bros the same.. mine is setup pretty much right under the ceiling fan by chance.. so i leave it off now when i heat up the vape and during the session.. i like to pre heat my whip too before i load it.. and i feel the fan for sure effects the heat of the whip..

I've owned one of these before (and considering another go), but at that time I gave little thought to the air path (probably a good thing I went with VB, eh?). You think the air inhaled goes over any circuitry, and with the company, would that be a problem (ie: circuitry is insulated safely or something)? Just being picky before I take dat plunge.

[edit] man I miss this device... :)

Hello, I put the short version on my profile, long version on tumblr, and a medium version here :) We're super anal about air quality coming out of the vaporizer. Here's my best explanation:

The answer to “does any air come in contact with any inner circuitry?" is “kind of but not really."

Kind of means a small portion of air goes past the inner parts of the vaporizer, although most comes in the front and skips by the circuit.

If you are wondering if any of the air you inhale comes in contact with anything toxic, the answer is nothing more than what you’d inhale if you were just breathing the air in your room.

Our circuitry is not just 100% Lead free by RoHS standards, but is designed carefully (in the USA) by engineers who don’t allow any parts to “run hot," which means there are no stinky plastic or metal fumes coming off the circuit.

We’ve had the air quality from the vaporizer sampled and analyzed in many ways, finding 99.9% of possible chemical exposure coming from the room and not the vaporizer. The greatest source of toxins in an inhale is coming out of the herbs, and after that, from the environment, such as dust, carpets, cabinets, walls, etc.

If you’re interested to know more about the safety of herbs, see this study by our friends at the Werc Shop Independent Laboratory. http://bit.ly/15JcBL9 If you would like to use a filter with the vaporizer please see the McFinn stuff at the bottom of this page: http://bit.ly/1aKhRCV

From our experience testing other vaporizers, we’ve found that ones with a “clean air path" are not necessarily safe to use, as there are chemicals coming out of hot plastic (knockoffs), hot metal (aluminum), foam (Volcano’s intake filter), etc.

Thanks for your interest and support :)

no haha a small change to a piece is not really news ;) the bigger news is that we've made a new type of vaporizer that blows away the people who have tried it. now we just have to get it finished and launch in some way that we don't get knocked off immediafuckitly and make it not worth it to come up with the idea in the first place. it's going to be expensive so it's not for everybody. i have no timeline estimate for this but hope to figure out what we need to soon. :)

Definitely not. I can second what Vaporbrothers said above. This thing will be a game changer.

You peeked my interests ;)

Any word on a date or some demo video's?
Will it be a standalone or a portable?
Any thoughts on the price range?
Will you be featuring it in any upcoming expo's?

Best of luck on the new vaporizer and thanks for sharing the news with the community.
