I'm very excited for the power station and the 'Pocket Vaporiser'.

After extensive testing I can say from personal experience that the concentrate screens are great. Really can't fault them. I find it is tempting to over heat with concentrates but that's my error not that of the design.

I've tried micro loads (herb) with the screen and can report that it is easier to reach quick extraction with micro loads of herb while using the screens. The tolerance for combustion seems a little better. For you really frugal types this could be a good option.

The thing I love about this vape is the simplicity. Please don't ever compromise the small, simple nature of this amazing pipe. I feel small, reasonable sustainable, ethical companies are worth their weight in weed. My hats off to you @vapman

You are absolutely right OF, I was having the same thoughts but I also had to learn that with 12V, the unit would get bigger and more expensive, which I didn`t like at all. At the moment I am not too worried about the appeal to a wider customer base, I am more worried about finding the time to do all the things I have to do, like making the first lot of these heating stations. Keep in mind that most laptop computers also run on 20V and the heat station will make vapman to the first and only hybrid vaporizer which is not bad for a start. Anything is possible in the future, also that we will make a 12V unit one day, but only if you buy one OF

I would love to have the time to develop a battery powered vaporizer and believe me, I would try to turn the world upside down by having a complete different approach to it. I have a feeling that the electric portable vaporizers are all more or less very similar and the main issue is, as you can read in the threads, the batteries and batterie lifespan. I love optimizing stuff to the max, I like the idea of bringing the most out with the least, this task is fueling my brain. How would I do it, talk is cheap, I know. I would try to make a micro small heating chamber where the finely ground herbs get "injected"(Diesel engine) from a reservoir by pulling a small trigger. This would allow to vaporize tiny small quantities of herbs with a fraction of the power of existing portables. I don't think it is a good idea to use up to 30W with batteries, I would definitely try to do it with far less by changing the whole ball game. This would require very smart and inovativ technologies. I am aware of the difficulties of jaming resins when it comes to feed small quantities of herbs into a micro chamber. Only high goals are leading us to new and innovative technologies. Of course, I would make the batteries replaceable by the user, this is the smallest issue I can think of. May be one day I will be silly enough to try the impossible and having sleepless nights because my brain is hovering over some serious tasks. Thank you VaporNinja.

Too late..haha..I did it already! In the year 2002 I made a human powered vaporizer, it is called pocket vaporizer and it is only a little bigger than vapman. Believe me, it works really well but it is not suited for the daily use, people would think you are crazy when they see you doing gymnastic exercises all over the place. This vaporizer lead me to develop vapman, which is far more suited for the general public. Back then I only used this vaporizer all the time, it puts a smile on my face when I think abou it. It is the ideal vaporizer for the lonely island, all you need is weed. Now I know that I was far too early with this gadget but I am seriously thinking about to revise and relaunch this unique vaporizer, the world of vaporizer has become far more open minded since then. In the year 2002, most people thought that vaporizers without digital temperature control don`t work. Once I learned how to upload a video on to this thread I will show you how I make serious and very tasty clouds within 20sec by using nothing more than my arms. The ultimate hard core vapor porn.:D

It works with concentrates as well as with herbs, the heat up time is may be 1-2sec longer, thats all.

I wish you all a good day!

Hi Vapman, thank you for joining here. I'd sure like to see some pics and/or video of the human powered vape you made. Is it operating like a friction heater?

I think you are spot on with your thoughts on the battery powered vape too.

I've always loved the look of the tabletop big bro @hoyo77 ...... I was hoping @vapman would give us a proper demo at some point. The one on youtube doesn't really show it off enough.

I have the mica version of vapman...does the mica flavour taste disappear with time... i have read heard somewhere it does... i really don t like that and it also have effects on the flavour of vapour i think.. because the air intakes (nozzles) are located on the mica... a d are you 100 % sure it does not harm your health if you inhale this mica fumes...
otherwise i am getting the technic down i think and don t have any complaints other then the mica taste flavour... its a nice vape.... small, beautiful, nice effects

Of course not, there is noting of that sort that's 100% sure. However, mica is very widely used for this sort of application with no problems found. Peek into a hair dryer or toaster some time. Much larger amounts there, with glowing wire in contact. You don't feel the need to hold your breath drying your hair or not eat the toast, right?

Mica itself doesn't degrade ('smell') at these temperatures, which is, of course, why it's used. Strictly speaking there are no "mica fumes". It doesn't 'burn away'. What can happen is water and other contamination between the sheets can ''boil out' over heat and time. The key is they are limited in quantity and not replaced as they go. So, yes, by definition the rate is constantly going down, eventually to the point you no longer notice (which can vary hugely between people). It definitely 'goes away', or you'd never be able to smell it in the first place.......ironic as that is.

I suggest enjoying the VM.

Best wishes,

The Vapman gets me so much more baked than any other vape I have ever used. I am not sure specifically what exactly allows the Vapman to deliver so much potency so much better than other vapes. I suspect the herb roasting against the hot crucible walls must be more thoroughly extracting all the goodness. The Vapman effect for me is strong and similar to a combustion high. No other vape in regards to potency delivered even comes close to Vapman's performance. This, for me, is the main reason Vapman is my #1.

:peace:
This exactly. With the exception that the vapman tastes way better than combustion!

I agree with you on that 100% then the other amazing thing is how much herb you use in the vapman....so simple yet so complex!!

For me it's No.1 for frugality.

I've just been discussing technique & now I'm wondering - how do you hold yours!?? :)

When heating my Vapman - I hold it between my thumb and middle finger, and place my index finger over the top of the mouthpiece. I find that way, the herbs get to vaping temperature that little bit faster.

I mentioned this technique to @Buildozer - who has recently joined our Vapman family - so he gave it a try. He found the technique particularly useful for gauging subtle heat changes on his finger tip, which in turn helped signal when he should stop heating the pan.

I also hold it this way between hits, because it seems to help in maintaining bowl temperature, and I feel it helps avoid any vapour wastage. So, all-in-all, holding it this way would appear to have a number of advantages.

Is this what you guys do too? Or do you have a different technique?? :leaf:

I like that way..i use it as well that way my free finger can act as a carb and plug one of the holes if you feel the need. Nice one Baby Sis!!!

Depends on which hand i'm holding the vapman in. In my left I go between thumb/ index finger and seren/hoyo77s way. When Held in my right hand it's always thumb/index finger.

The Vapmans keeping me very happy with both it's conservation and effects from such small loads. I know a lot of people say vapor is vapor but to me the vapman is especial somehow in it's extraction of all the goodies I need/want out of my meds.

I'm finding that after sessions with other vapes that get me really nicely medicated I still want to grab the VM and If I do, even for just a short couple hits 'tiny pinch of herb' bowl i find myself in a better place then if i had done those few hits with the other vape.

If the heating station comes to fruition i could see the vapman taking on even more duty than it's getting now and it's already become my most used, day or night.

Oh, you guys are killing me. My brand-new Vapman is here, and I haven't used it because it requires suction and I had to go through this laser gum surgery. Now with the possibility of a heating unit, I'm wondering if I should keep it in its virginal state and never set a flame to it. Does it require a strong sucking-type action or will gentle inhalation work? I really want to try it.

Gentle would be a way to describe it. I does not take strong pull. I would equate to breathing..pull on it like you are taking a breath.

I don't believe the heating unit will be here real soon so ... You can hit it softly like hoyo77 said just like taking a breath but if you decide to, remember be careful because I know it's kind of hard for me to control that reflex or conditioning to pull a hit once i raise the mouthpiece to my lips especially after a hit or two.
