Did somebody order from Toronto vaporizers? Lol.

I have the same one bro. I love it. Let me know what you think. I vape no fan and on 188C

Totally! This store rocks, and the Zeus grinder they give with orders is much better than your average free grinder. After coupon the unit comes down to 200$ CAD, it's a steal imo. There's a few Rises and EQs along my group of friends, everyone is satisfied, but I always get the best deals!!

The grinder is alright. I prefer my Puff or Space Case. But yeah for free not bad at all. I've used it a few times. Great group of guys. Going to order a Craft from them soon. The Rise does not fulfill the portable need. Real easy to clean.

Let me know how your vapor is and what you vape at. Just for curiosity.

@ginolicious Yeah, the grinder is visually nice, the packaging is awesome. When my friend got his earlier this year I thought that's nice, I like my premium crusher better, it's tighter. Now I changed my mind, his is still sharp, and the grill is much better at collecting kief compared with the CC grill that does nothing but clog.

The vapor is good, remember I'm coming from an EQ but I've used the Rise on many occasions while on visit or hosting, so I'm still comparing both. What I really appreciate is the quick heat up time, and the massive hit you get on the FIRST inhale. You don't have to let glass warm up for 15 minutes if you want the "wow" factor when you start whipping.

With the EQ, the initial flavor is better, then it falls off short somewhere mid bowl. The Rise is very consistent taste wise, its extraction method is so efficient, two large finely drilled screens pressing on a large thin layer of buds. It still does not have the initial flavor you get with the EQ, but these 2 flavorful pulls are a trade-off I was aware of. I can get that taste from my Air anyway. I haven't looked inside a Volcano, but I think it's also pressing buds between two large screens, I'd like to try both at the same time, and also compare power output.

I start at 170 and I end at 205 or 210, I'm still experimenting, I've got some smoke yesterday at 210 with the fan on.

The build quality, the packaging, the manuals, everything scream quality with this unit, but what shines the most is the extraction. The ABV is always a perfectly even color with this unit if you keep the grills clean. I also like not to have to worry about glass anymore.

...save for this one!

I think I'll try to source black silicone tubing, I've seen it on an EQ and it looks neat, no matter how dirty inside.

Your whip is so clean lol. Mine is yellow. Then again I use it daily.

One of these days I need to drop a .5 in the vape. Get s thin layer packed with the plunger. I barely put any bud in my chamber. I never fill the whole bottom.

AVB is always nice in brown in colour. Never had issues unless I quit a bowl early.

Gino...you wrote, " I never fill the whole bottom". I can't get good vapor or results when I don't put enough to cover the bottom of the bowl. Anyone have suggestions about getting better results while conserving with the Rise. I'm able to get good results with a minimal amount with my NO2 by putting in a second screen but not with the rise. I was thinking of maybe a few glass screens in the chamber to help fill the empty space.

I called Vapir several months ago about the strong smell of the silicon whips. They said, let the whip soak in hot water then dry it on the Rise with the fan on. A few dry cycles should work. I boiled water, let it cool for a minute, add baking soda and salt; let sit in water 1/2 hour than dry. I think my whip did get a bit cleaner looking also.

@Ronp

You did read correctly.

I never fill the full chamber width or height. I know other vapes need another screen on top of you do a half bowl such as the Crafty.

I grind up a minimal amount of material and flop it in. There is tons of room on the sides. My sessions are pretty good. I know if I put a .5 filled the whole bottom and some that the vapor would be denser and more visible. But then I'm vaping more bud than required right.

A typical bowl looks like this, maybe even a bit more now. This was taken after 4 pulls why it doesn't look fresh.

When you soak your whip where do you soak it? The sink?

I bring a pot of water, salt and baking soda to a boil; once it boils, I pull it off the burner let it cool for a minute or so and put my whip in with tongs for about 1/2 hour. I able to soak it in the pot. I do this once a month. Between cleanings, I keep my whip and used bags in a tupperware container, because they seem to give off a strong ABV smell.

You're able to get nice results from that little herb? I'm going to try and tell you how it works out.

The nice part of experimentation is there is no down side.

I am going to try your boiling method to clean my whip. Drying on the vape never thought of. Great idea. I'm going to do that as well. The water cools down after 30 minutes eh?

How much do you normal put in your vape? My results are not the best as I have seen on YouTube, but for putting less than a .1 getting 6 great pulls and then getting higher is perfect.

Thanks for the tube cleaning tip, will def try that out. I tried alcohol then soap a while ago with another silicone whip, both turned out bad and required hours of soaking to get rid of the bad taste that resulted. That tube is now dark brown and in a Ziploc bag, will make a perfect candidate for a test.

I'm still :rofl:happy about getting the Rise. Everyone who used it just loved how they had their own whip and only needed a little pull to get a massive hit. Now to buy some more tubing for movie sessions with friends!

I usually do about 3 sessions a day. At about .1-.15g. I have it down to a science. If I could squeeze a little more out of my Rise that's great. I tried enough to not cover the bottom like Gino suggested. I broke off a few tight leaves and vaped them; the Rise did a real nice job. If you want to see some thick vapor: .15g at 420F through water; the last time I took a thick hit like that, it was through a Graffix acylic water pipe 30 years ago when I pledged. The Rise can and does deliver.

I tested my Rise: I vaped a load completly with the VapirRise; than I broke out my old V-Tower and jacked it up to 500F and put the Rise ABV in it. I got no taste or vapor; the Rise totally extracted all the herbal goodness.

Recieved one of these for christmas 2014 still going strong like a champ
for those wondering about best settings it seems 200c and fan 1-2 for whip or 6-7 for balloons.
would highly reccomend this for anyone looking for a cheap alt to a volcano.
also you can clean the bags and parts in 99% iso and get high grade oil about 1g from ~half oz smoked
got mine for toronto vaporizer
cheers

i would highly reccomend trying 99% isopropyl in a ziploc put your parts in there and agitate for 15-20 mins , i clean my balloons and whip as well and i easily pull a gram of high quality amber oil from each half oz-3/4oz

been doing it since christmas 2014 when i got this unit

How do you clean your balloons? I assumed it would be a pain to clean them. If I could clean them once a week that would cut down on the strong smell. Right now, I keep the balloon and the whip in tupperware between uses or my entire room will smell like nasty ABV. When Vapir went to the ultimate balloon system I was not happy, because if I didn't want the smell, I would have to use their bags at $4.00 a bag. If you do the math: That's about $100 a year for bags. I know it may not be much to many but when your on SSI you have to watch every penny.

My bags have a threaded cap so they don't let the smell out when they are shut. The tubing is another story.

If you want to save on cash, a turkey bag zip tied to a whip is your best bet. I don't think you can clean balloons.

Cleaning balloons is extremely difficult. It's like trying to make the whip white again.

That's what I figured. I read or saw on YouTube someone warning about not storing your old bags sealed. If I close the valve on the old bagging system, when I store it, will it hurt the balloon (make it stick together). Also, I noticed if I use the bag more than twice, the nice taste of the different strains of herb is lost. When do you folks replace your balloons? Or is it a simple trade off: If you want better taste; change it more often, if you want economy wait until it's close to unbearable.

I know I store them sealed, I even fold them back for storage.

Do you guys feel like a sticky bag is "stealing" vapor away, hurting efficiency?

I store my bags with the cap on. I have no issues. I've used my bag maybe 5 times and it's not yellow at all. I will change when it starts to get a small tint of yellow. Yes you will not taste the strains as the bag gets dirtier. You want to maximize your flavor you should change every 2-3 session. But that will get expensive.

I actually just vaped a bag myself. First time in weeks. I prefer the whip. Once and a while I'll do a bag though.

I wish there was a way to make the whip clear again on the piece that connects to the vape. No success. I put in boiling water, ran ISO through it with salt. Still haven't found a solution for that one.

This vape has been getting me nice and toasted since April. Love the thing. It's not an outside thing which is my only down side. That's why I need a portable. Vape every day at a night high. More vaping on weekend as I don't work and I smoke a gram a week. Right now I have Girl Scout.

My Vapir Rise is going in the basement to collect cobwebs. I have been disapointed with the machine since they changed bagging systems. The bag fills slower now, and the hose has a awful smell that will not go away. If I buy a new hose, it will smell bad in less than a month of regular use. I made a mistake of leaving my hose in the kitchen, to clean; my entire first floor smelled like old stank ABV, but it is good at diffusing essential oil. While the base machine is good, the hose and bagging system are a let down. I tried so hard to like this machine, to justify my purchase; I can't do it any more. It's to much of an uphill battle.

You can still buy the old bagging system. But yes I do agree, the new bagging system sucks. Only 1 store online carries the old style.
