Hey guys, so if I vape weed from the highest setting on my Pax would it be wasteful? Would I have different high than if I started on the low setting and moved up as usual? Thanks for any help

hey Uncle Tito, re vaping at high temp initially, the only thing you'll give up is flavor and overall number of draws before your herb is expended. I do this, when I need a fast session. If I always had a choice, it would be slow, low temp start, bump 5-10C each couple draws, finishing somewhere between 200-230C (strain dependent). I have Arizer vaporizers, all temp adjustable, and take advantage of this.

In regards to the Pax specifically, I defer to those who use them.

I use an LSV, but I think the same thing would hold true no matter what vape I was using.

For me, I like to start high on the temp scale simply because I like getting as much of the cannabinoid profile as I can all at once while trying to stay below 390F. It's kind of akin to not liking a 4 pc grinder because I want as much kief in my bud all the time. There are many here though that really like starting at low temps and working themselves up. Lots of ways to skin the vape cat.

Could you elaborate onwhat you mean by cannabinoid profile? I' assuming thats just all the different CBDs right? Would a low temp produce more psychedelic affects?

This is a good read to start with.... http://www.cannabisculture.com/content/2010/07/12/How-Get-Most-Vaporizing

There's also a temperature chart showing temps needed to vaporize the different cannabinoids. This one am gonna have to look for... ;)

most of my sessions start with low temp and i simply build up as i go (last hit makes it dark brown to almost black). i prefer the slower approach to finishing a bowl vs 1-2 hits and done, both for efficiency and experience.

Not sure if serious or facetious.
"Different ways to skin a cat" is a colloquialism, means that there are multiple methods to get the results desired. It is a very old, rural-type of expression.

"Don't do this at home" is another expression, btw. :)

I vape both ways... and, I usually end up at a much higher temp, 420F +, chasing the CBNs before bed.

I still don't see how it would be taken literally considering the nature of the conversation...
