Interesting, how brand new? Mine is a couple of months old, but none of my other 3 Clouds firmware responded like this. Mine goes green pretty damn fast and seems like a few others here have had the same experience as me. Just wondering if they changed it back AGAIN?

Mine goes red either direction but turns green fast when its allready heated up, mine takes about 15 minutes and its awesome I use it at 12 to 2 and use a dedicated power outlet by itself uninterrupted pure power.
My cloud gets hot to touch after about 30 to 40 minute and it starts to blink red I'm not sure how long it takes but I don't think it takes a hour, I'm not sure but the. I shut it off on back on and away I go.
Anyway I'd love to have a cloud buddy but there sold out, eventually and then the grand daddy glass piece the devastator man I can't wait I wonder if the VXH will have a promotion again soon maybe a medical user discount on that awesome glass piece.
It's wishful thinking I suppose, I love my cloud I've had it for 4 months the only thing I worry about is the bamboo moves up and down if I rest my hydratubes on it or flip it upside down on glass it will slightly move I actually here it grinds like a Kreek , freaks me out makes me very careful how I use it o so gently I've always been gentle I guess it's own weight and the weight of glass pieces moves the bamboo slightly.
I did notice that the new clouds have a piece of rubber at the bottom of the bamboo and I believe white ceramic near the top around the male joint you can see it under the housing. Is this to prevent the bamboo from moving ? I know others here have mentioned it also any concerns? I know that VXH told me that it is supposed to move slightly this prevents it from breaking I guess it needs a little bit of play he said, so I'm praying it never just slips down to the bottom of the male joint heaven forbid.
Anyway that is my only concern and just a thought since VXH makes there own glass now and going the bent neck hydratube now are the straight hydratubes being discontinued? Like the hydratree, hydracirc, hydraline, evolver, shower dome. All the old style straight neck tubes there all sold out now when there gone is that it for that generation and style of hydratubes?
Just wondering it would make sense to me its way more comfortable to use a bent neck hydratube then bending over all the time my neck gets sore to be honest.
That's why I want the devistator.

I actually think my unit may be defective. Totally operative but defective - after looking at the cord and having trouble understanding why mine keeps rolling up I noticed at the joint where the power cord connects to the actual cloud I can see the rim around the wire is actually loose. If examined closely you can see the inners of the cloud. There is an actual gap between the seal and the metal of the cloud. Can anyone else do this? I love this thing, best vape ever but I am a bit concerned - losing my cloud to go for service would totally bum me out! And of course my wife too would be sad.

Med mark, the bamboo on my first 3 Clouds could move very slightly. My new cloud has that rubber ring and the bamboo hasn't moved a mm.

Here is a video I took of the 2.0 hydratree recorded at 120 fps and slowed down to 30 fps. It's viewable in 720p.

    The waiting game starts!

I started smoking few years ago, I quickly switched over to vaporizers. My first vaporizer was the MFLB. Loved that little thing. I snagged a classic Volcano in NorCal at a jaw-dropping price. I've been using the Volcano as my daily driver for few months now. I have no complaints with it at all but it is more of a group device than something I use by myself daily. I have been eyeing the cloud for a while now. Met a friend who didnt like his cloud (was defective and he lost patience), wanted my volcano so we are trading it.

Paid for the Warranty Upgrade with Vapexhale and will send me the Cloud that's supposed to have the latest technology and repaired within 2 weeks I hope. I've been reading all about Vapexhale. I'm psyched :brow:

Will definitely miss the convenience of using Volcano but i think VXC will be the vaporizer I've been looking for.

I am using a gopro hero3 black. It's a really impressive camera. I need to take another video with better lighting.

I've not tried the version 1 tree but 2.0 is my favorite of the 4 hydratubes I do own.

nice, i have the white version, i didnt see a need for 120fps as i would just use a DSLR at that point, VERY impresive little cameras eh?

try out a plugin called "twixtor" takes those frames in between and emulates new ones, making 120fps look like a high speed camera, works well with just 60fps too, make sure you've got enough RAM and a nice vidya card

Has anyone ever tried to use a plug on the bottom of the bamboo and let a solution of PBW or iso soak in the bamboo? My cloud has a slight burning smell at the top all the time so I want to do a better clean of the bamboo. I've run iso through the middle and it helps but I can see residue in there.

This has been done, I think the person plugged the joint with something 19mm female and then made it liquidtight, IIRC VXL has said they don't approve this method due to things that could go wrong but someone definitely was doing it regularly at some point.

Even if not approved, I need to do the same thing soon. I can see black abv (powdered) on the bottom washer and its bugging my OCD. If careful and done properly it shouldn't be an issue. Just need to find a plug or cork.

How are you using your Cloud?

I just got this Hydratree and ELBs in the post today! Just needs its other half to arrive from sunny CA!

The Hydratree surprised me with how solid it feels and smaller than I thought it would be. Am itching to see Cloud.

Does anyone have a Cloud and a Volcano side by side picture?

edit: Yeah got it dirty :disgust: gotta give it a quick iso bath
