out of curiosity, how many hits are most of you getting out of a elb that is 50/60% filled, loosely packed.

i see many people talking about getting 1 or 2 big hits, but i keep getting 4 to 5 and each one is full of vapor, maybe the 6th hit its tapers down.

im not taking 20 second pulls like i see some people doing but im still pulling a long time on each one.
I take relatively small hits (compared to most) and I like to space them out. I probably get 8 good hits from that size load. And I usually take a couple of hours to do it.

:peace:

It depends on lung capacity of the user. Some are able to pull manytimes more in one pull than others. Also it depends on the temp and strain and probably even the unit itself.

Adding on: quality of product used & temperature setting is going to be a big variable influence on the # of hits per ELB.

so your pulling out the elb in between those hits i presume.

ok thnx, thats what im seeing, im just trying to get the full picture about the cloud, i learned alot form playing around, i have seen some people just taking like what seemed 25 second hits and by the second hit it was spent and ready for a change, but at the same time im taking 10-15 second drags and getting 5 good solid hit and i can see shortening that to go even further.

yes i agree and understand that as well, temp and product will be a factor as well. im just loving my cloud. i took the same product i had, one was moist, the other i dried out fully and the difference was notcieable, dry was better for larger clouds.

bizzum,
Just posting my serial number was 07XX -I don't recall the last two digits, and it failed by never heating up. I've used it almost everyday for the past 3 months. All of the sudden, nothing. My room temperature is fine and I tried the hair dryer heat up they recommended with no results. Sent it back the same day I sent a claim. UPS shows they will have it today. I'm lucky I have my supreme, but I need my cloud.

The only logical reason I can think of for why us forum members have a higher rate of failure, would be that we are enthusiasts, and our hours of operation may be a lot more than your average folk. In 4 months, my cloud has had one day off. Sometimes she works 2-3 hrs day, and sometimes 10-12hrs a day. Otherwise, its probably a curse, because it sure feels closer to a 20% failure rate than 2%. Funny thing though, no other vape compares, and I would still buy one if it was a 50% failure rate.

I never turn mine off. #WeMo

Edit: And I think it's safe to say that anyone spending 500+ dollars can consider themselves an enthusiast!

Yea, plus I was at work for 8 hours a day, and I only had the unit a month. So I doubt I approached anywhere near it's maximum life time LOL.

I'm just hoping it will get sorted out fast.

Great Scott!
Sometimes suck to be the first to have the newest things.....bugs need working out. For me, it was worth the risk! Lol

Yeah but in my case I have a clicker still going strong many months later. Not once has anything odd happened. My buddy has a new non clicker and he can turn it to MAX temp and vape without combusting. I've never taken mine over 3:00 because it is just so god damn dark at that point. I think I prefer the temp settings on mine. I can also enjoy very very light vapor at just about 9:00 on the dial as well. I feel like I must have a much nicer range of temps than he does but thats just my 2¢

Two quick announcements:

HydraFeet will be available next week on our website, if you guys are looking for a good way to keep your HydraTubes stable, you'll love the CloudFeet.

Also, we are going to run a Xmas Promo. We are looking for the best Xmas themed video on YouTube. There are no other rules other than having some sort of Xmas theme in your video and the Cloud being used with some water tool. Here are the prizes:

1st place - HydraTube of your choice (VapeXhale will be releasing our HydraTubes next week)
2nd place - $100 Store credit
3rd place - $50 Store credit

Please post links to your video in this thread and on Twitter and Facebook. Troi, VaporRing, and myself will be judges. In the event of a tie, those with the most views will be the tie breaker. Make sure you add the appropriate tags to your video to ensure you get a lot of views.

Let the contest begin!
Looking for some clarification on the last paragraph.

Can we not just post the video in this thread? Or do we have to use a facebook account to post the video too?

My cloud came into today :)

Looking very cool. Few questions for folks.

1) Whats the white paper material with adhesive backing? Obviously in the shape of the Cloud's outer skin, but cant figure how this is useful. Online manual has no mention of it. No physical manual in box....

2) I plugged mine in and set it to 12 and let it sit about 10-15 minutes then gave it a sniff. I definitely smell some kind of nasty residue/offgassing/plastic smell (nothing loaded or no tubes on, just the unit on empty). Is this normal? Will it go away soon? Should I leave it on for a while?

3) The manual only mentions cleaning the ELBs. Can you clean the bamboo with ISO by pouring it down (when cold obviously)? Wondering if this would knock down the smell quicker.

Thanks! Looking forward to trying it out later but I am not going to use it until the smell is gone.

I let mine go for an hour on high, and the smell went away. After that pack it up and let her rip!

The paper is an adhesive silicone sleeve that you can attach to the outside of your cloud. He helps make the cloud easier to hold if you find it is hot to the touch.

The odor should not be in the tube/air path. You can feel free to use it now, but if you want to wait you can run it on high for an hour.

I don't pour ISO down my tube, although others do. I use a pipe cleaner soaked in ISO to clean the inside of the air-path.

Thanks fellas.

Now here are some nice pictures I just took of the new Evolver tube.

And of course a close up view of the main difference, the new splash-guard:

Got the cloud offgassing now. Hope to get some free time tonight with it.

Cloudy...
The holes in the splash guard aren't too small? I think that this HT is going to be the one with more drag, but damn, it's so beautiful. I sure will want a bent neck HT when they start selling the european VXH

There used to be a top splashguard and now there isn't, so that should offset the drag.

I'm makin clouds :) this thing is great. Smell almost all gone but as you guys said, I didn't smell anything when I hit thru the hydratube even without water.

I have never used any other hydratubes so I have nothing to compare to, but I don't think the evolver 2.0 is high drag. Feels very easy and smooth to me.

I do notice a tiny bit of blowback if I finish a hit without lifting the tube like a pipe slide ( tell tale tiny smoke rising from bottom of unit). Does anybody think it's worth lifting to clear? Will my bamboo get dirty way faster by not clearing after each hit? Almost want a carb, heh.
