Mine doesnt whistle anymore either. Does that mean it’s dirty? How often do you guys clean the inside of the unit

Usually is because its dirty, its easy to mess up when using concentrates, sometimes u need to make a deep cleaning to the stem, there was a video by Vapefiend guys that showed how to properly clean but youtube closed their channel so i dont know where it is right now...
Basically u need to get plugs, turn the evo upside down, slowly fill the stem with ISO (air pockets will occur so with a long poker remove them) plug it to avoid evaporation and let it rest overnight, next day remove the iso and u can repeat just to remove the rest of the overnight iso, cleanse with water and you will notice that annoying whistle come back lololol, i already made my use just below the whistle, but u will feel on the draw resistance and flavour.
i have my evo for a little more than a year i only did 1 deep clean, usually i just clean where the ELB rest.

P.S. Caution when pouring the ISO on the stem, any ISO that goes in contact with the electronics can (and will!!) mess with the unit so little by little to avoid this.
Cheers hope it helps and EVO F0CK1nG Rocks!!!!

If you're going to send it in to have them replace the bamboo, my suggestion is just to leave it as-is. They'll clean it out with it disassembled and you don't have to worry about damaging anything else.

If you're referring to a dirty bamboo and the "residue" inside it, that's still my suggestion. Clean what you can, pack it well and let the pros take care of it!

Good luck,
I got so many 1/4er + EVO + H2O + BOOK = CIVILAZIED HUMP DAY!

@oklahomie my PINK EVO is dirty and no more whistle.
@cilantro da new one U sent me makes a Whistle.
The PINK 1 i have not used since!

Yep, my current EVO whistles, too. I learned to consider it a measure of draw strength. I'm telling myself it's a charming feature of bamboo turbulence, not a bug!

KANDY KUSH + DRY HYDRABOMB + EVO = LIFE IS GOOD

Hey everyone. I have visited this thread often and have a good few FC friends here (at least I like to think.) I have always enjoyed the ambience, peacefulness and friendliness of this thread and have felt many a time that it would be so nice to be on the inside with you all.
But I have never really been strongly drawn to owning the Evo, and Im really not sure why. I think the high price has prevented me from making it a consideration.

Not that it is unreasonable, and is very in line with many top desktop and bubbler packages.
But at no point have I actually been considering buying the Evo.

Now time for some fun- can you guess what it is the box just inside my front door on this fine new day here in Bedford UK?

Hey man, yes that looks just like the box I received last week containing my Evo! I just went to compare it. If this wasn't the Evo thread I'd have said it must be the Herborizer Digi.:)

EDIT: What glass did you get bro?

Haha its actually your fault bro, this was NEVER part of the plan. I had absolutely NO INTENTION of making this (V)acquisition at this time. Sebastien is also largely to blame too. He practicaly promised me - "BEFORE the END of May"... I never asked him, he volunteered that info and left the carrot hanging there just out of reach. Its been killing me too.

I would have just bought the analig Ti in January but I decided to hold out until April for the Digi. I spent most of last year looking for the right model. Which woulda been Herbo Ti and even in January it was long overdue to finally settle with a desktop that works for me and fills needs.

The Elev8r is fantastic sure, but no way the easiest to use or most enjoyable vape for me. The coil is a lot if hassle, I hate not being able to easily stir and unload the bowl with the coil.

And the torch just doesnt work well for me, I get mixed result and fed up of weaker hits, I end up over-torching and combust!:ugh:

And the whole ritual is quite taxing and cumbersome, also less predictable and replicable compared to a piece-of-pie desktop for eyes closed usage. Ive missed this badly and have enjoyed my vaping and vapes increasingly less as the year has gone on.

Then I saw your post here and thought :o woah what a deal! It seemed too good to be true. Had I not been on the verge of getting the Digi-Ti with just enough cash handy for it, I might have jumped on it immediately.
But how could I. I practically have a contract with Sebsatien and myself saying "MUST buy the Herborizer, HAVE to buy the Herborizer. NO backing out".

So a sudden conflict of interest. But I couldnt justify a sudden Evo purchase out of the blue could I? But as some days passed, I kept thinking about it feeling like this is something I really should be doing to seize this great opportunity. Impulsiveness quickly crept in and I found myself checking to see if the deal was still on on Tuesday.

I was initially a little dismayed to see that the price has risen to £269, 40% discount.
So I told myself no that's it I can't justify spending that much I've missed out on this one.
Then I managed to find a 7% discount code for NamasteVapes which took the price ba k down to £251, vs £257 from Everyonedoesit with 5% code.

So I talked myself right into it and bit the bullet, before the price goes up again and the seal is gone.

And so here we are. An unopened, unplanned Vapexhale Cloud Evo sits in my hallway!
I admit I am very excited. Never used an Evo. Of course I have no idea how it will work with my bizarre vaporizer intolerance issues but Im not expecting it to be a bad one like FP, GS.

So @Mushroomturtle I believe you owe me some money!:goon: I realise I did also play (some) part in this dreadful mess myself. So I cant really expect you to pay me the full £251.
But- I have to demand that you pay the £25 extra for not doing more to convince me when the deal first came about.;)

Lol! All good. Cant wait to hear your impressions dude. Autos are off to a great start btw under their T5's for 3 weeks. Fingers crossed!

Now, the Evo.:hmm: I am excited, but also a little nervous as always with the unknown. I dont think any advice is necessary it has been given over and over in this thread.
Oh yeah, I went for the Turbine. Seemed like the obvious choice. Im not a fan of honeycomb, and the Bomd wasnt an option so...

More to come gang.

Hah that's brilliant, your purchase justification story was like mine! I also went for the Turbine. I wondered whether the deal would get many takers but hadn't thought that you might be one of them. Though I had often wondered in the past whether you'd tried one as it potentially matched up with you well.

I've only been medicating lightly recently so I haven't pushed the Evo much yet. Just 0.07 a few times to get the temp dial in a pleasing position. It's definitely the easiest way I've produced thick, consistent, floral vapour.

I probably have it set up to the equivalent of the heat on the second draw of an Elev8r heat cycle. I'm not up for the lung buster hits at the moment so I don't know whether the Evo could match the Elev8r for lung-punching yet.

So far with 0.07 I haven't had to stir but I think the grind should be a bit finer than it is currently if I want to be stir free >0.1

The fact that I can set up and dismantle the Evo very quickly makes it very useful to me as I don't have the space to leave these things lying around in our tiny flat.

I really hope it works out well for you @Alexis man, I'll be very interested to see how the weeks and months unfold.

May the auto Gods be kind to us, that we may enjoy these fine glass instruments at will

@Mushroomturtle - If you don't pack an EVO's ELB tight and beyond 3/4 full with a medium grind you won't have to stir.

I've pushed those limits beyond 3/4 and medium grind and have never had to stir. A convection vape like the EVO doesn't require a fine grind or stirring.

The EVO can plow through just about anything without stirring except a full, dense bud. And in the case of that bud....I don't stir it. I just crumble it up after a few hits to get back to flavor town.

Some folks like to draw on an un-ground bud for the longer lasting flavor and once they've blasted that bud a bit they put it in the palm of their hand, crush it up, put it back in the ELB and start over.

WHOA!!! Welcome to the club broski!!!
Hope it works out for you and your health concerns!
Don't go past 1pm and you will be fine!!

Since we both seem to be lightweights, I will pass along my technique:
Fine grind, 1/4 full ELB, 12:30-1pm on the dial and a good 10 minute warm up.
First hit is delicious with lots of vapor. You can stir one time or just shake the ELB and get one more small hit.

Looking forward to your thoughts on this one for sure!

@Alexis @lazylathe I'm approximately at 2pm and draw pretty much as soon as I get the green light. My pull is slow/gentle, just below whistle-speed.

@Mushroomturtle thanks for sharing man. I need to copy you actually and reduce my usage a lot froj recent unhelpful permanent stonedness levels in the wake of adversity, call it an innapropriate and dysfucntional coping mechanism, to be oversusing when it is working against me.

So I aspire to be in better mental place to find motivation to moderate and enjoy my vaping more. It comes naturally when you are more well, vice versa when suffering is high and enjoyment can't be seen.

Okay, Evo! I just galloped to try it asap this evening after food and allergy treatments. I mean, I was bent on getting it loaded and diving in at the nearest second. Mostly I guess to just see how it will work with my sensitivities.
If it isnt going to work for me, I want to know right away.

I loaded maybe 0.15 of a light vapor Sativa auto. My strains do vary a lot with vapor density and temp needs. Deceiving, the vapor is barely visible with some but they MEDICATE!

Set at 12 'O clock, I got very nice and smooth draws. Felt nothing going in, saw very decent clouds in front of light. Lowly visible vapor in the Turbine, but is strain and temp dependant.

Very smooth vapor. Bumped up to 1, not a real increase but nice and smooth few hits. Went right to 2 before load drained. Didnt really get anything so maybe is all extracted? This plant is covered in trichs, smells like a Christmas tree, but gives an illusion of no vapor at times.:hmm:

So I pulled the Elb out and I can tell right away that this vaporizer is different to ALL of my other vapes at present.

The Evo is a proper VAPORIZER! The abv smells so much purer and less damaged. It is exactly like the smell of vapor and abv from my past Vapir No.1. It was a POS that eventually went in the dustbin. Ignore that part. I see now how a lot of vaporizers we use are not exactly true vaporization.

Compared to this initial experience so far, the Vapcap is NOT a true vaporizer or anywhere near close. Its like the heating is just too aggressive and harsh for the herb, with so many other models as well.

Its always so hard to be sure with a first experience initially, but I don't think there is any significant intolerance reaction. But it is a play on my mind. I get an allergy type reaction to vaping at all times.

Like a pain, you get used to it and stop appraising it. Elevate above, sink it to the background.
So at these times my imagination gets twisted about tuning into the symptoms. I can be sure a new vape is okay and then realise Im in sheer hell.

The Turbine however was much smaller than I thought. Very low water volume. I do feel some throat aggravation which Im sure is due to me needing a piece with more water and cooling, even on the 12 position.

2 things I forgot. I am very nicely medicated in a far cleaner, purer way than my other more "aggressive" vapes. I like it.
And my first draw. I got nothing. Not even any air! Until I realised there was a red cap on the bottom of the bamboo as well!

Okay back to it. Have a great evening guys, thanks for having me.

Modnote: Back to back posts merged

Okay I think my unit may have a problem. While it was set at 2, ot started flashing lights. Forget if it was green or red or both now. Some red though I think, maybe green as well.
I pushed the plug in more, it had loosened a bit. I cycled the power in case it was auto shut off. Theh it was just flashing green for ages. I waited for it to stop but didnt. Tried using and no vapor. Turned off for a few seconds, then got a solid red light.

Fresh load- on @lazylathe 's advice, diff strain with thick, dense vapor in all vapes, finer grind, 1/4 full. Set at 1 'O clock. First hit- no vapor. Some taste, but no exhale.
Same again. Upped to 2. Still nothing visible or noticeable. This strain should chug vapor.
When I turn it up, the light stays green the whole time.

It should go red when under the set temp? I think it isnt heating up now since it started flashing.

Any ideas? No rush, I switched it off now. Will turn on again and see what happens. I may be tripping here and missing obvious.

Edit- red light when switched on. Now gone green at 1 pm. Will re-test. Load wasnt even touched. Wish me luck.

Edit 2- We have vapor. Stable green light at 1 pm. Goes red when dial moved. First hit, lovely huge cloud of tasty smoothness. Very nice. I think it is being very well tolerated too, but Im always scared to get my hopes up.

Nothing like the bad ones, FP and GS. Hit 2.....

I also had red/green flashing during first uses. I think maybe because I draw as soon as the light turns green that it was having to reheat, thus turning red again.
I too panicked and got worried the unit might be faulty. I'm still keeping an eye on it until I understand what is happening.

When first turning on mine sometimes flashes red/green and then when it is almost at temp again red/green. After 30 minutes or so it will flash red/green and turn the heater off.

I always turn it on and don't even look at it for 10 minutes.
Occasionally it will turn red while just sitting there but it goes green a minute later, new algorithm must be more sensitive to temp changes.

10+ second draws should get you whole milk!!

It also took me a few goes to get the technique down with my first unit.

Hitting a lovely ELB of watermelon in your honor my kind Sir!

Well it sure worked. It must have been either auto shut off or I think it may have overheated actually. I let it sit at 2 pm for a while immediately prior.

The second load did produce great vapor right away, massive first hit at 1 pm. Long hit, but so easy compared to the vapes I havs been using. Not too much draw testriction at all with the Turbine, and not too free flowing either. I went up to 2 pm qfter a few hits to finish the load.

Tricky thing is, I always end up first testing these new vapes out late evening. Im exceptionally tired and vision not good in dim light. With a new bubbler or vape in dim light, you can massively overhit it and not realise until the light of day.

But I did get some substantial respiratory bother in my lungs from the higher temperature even though there wasn't a lot of vapour extracted at that temp it is just the heat I think which has that effect at times. Same thing as if I went high on the dial with the XL.

So my logical mind is telling me that it is now a matter of dialling it in and finding the perimeters of comfort. I never stopped to rest and relax for a second all evening until finishing the second load and quickly managing some symptoms, (which really haven't been too bad at all except for my lungs being aggravated by high temperatures), wow I never realised how wonderfully medicated I was feeling.

I must have hit it harder than I realised but what a great and fulfilling buzz.
More trials to come in near time. Thanks for your tips Lazy. Btw I have been letting it heat 10 mins plus as standard.

Awesome stuff mate!!
I think we are pretty similar in our heat requirements! With my GS I can adjust 3 degrees F and cough my lungs out...Drop it down 3 and I am perfectly fine.
So the EVO did take a while to dial in this time and now I never move the dial!
One temp does me just fine.

I have a cover on mine and the dial is pretty much dead center between 12 and 1pm, more like 1pm on a clock dial.

So what you need to do tomorrow is this:
Set at 2pm and allow to heat for 10 minutes.
Load an ELB and see results, if you are coughing turn it down to 1:45. Turn the EVO off for a minute and then turn back on to adjust correctly to the new temp and allow to sit for a few minutes before you take your next trial ELB. Keep dropping the temp till the irritation is manageable or non existent.

I find I can pretty much draw as soft or hard as I can and it will produce vapor and the ABV is pretty consistent!
It's definitely a creeper vape sig!! LOL!

LOL!
Thanks for more insight. However I wont be going anywhere near 2 pm again. Im sure I just couldnt tell how hard I was hitting load 2 in dim light. Top hard Im sure.

And I would have to work the other way, start lower and work up. Once a reaction has occurred, it lasts a good while and its impossible to gauge anything until it wears off, and I couldnt enjoy the vapor then anyway. I never cough while vaping with any size hit however harsh, so the cough reflex is not useful here and maybe wouldnt apply to me anyway.

First time I used the Elev8r I way overheated and hit it too long and hard. It messed my chest up so bad, thought it was another big one I couldnt touch.
I did some reading and saw that most people dont go to 2 or even close. So it must be like the XL on 8.5 or 9 maybe? That would do me right in and no joy.

I will stick to lower temps for now. I seriously loved the high I had tonight, cant wait for more testing. My throat and upper airways are so much less bothered as well. Hardly any mucus to deal with up there compared to other vapes.

Its like a particular type or irritation just didnt occur at all. Off to bed shortly.

I dreamt of EVO last night. In the dream I was at a radio station (I've worked in radio for a number of years) and found several baskets around the board. I know what someone was doing here! Sure enough I found the EVO in the control room!

Unfortunately I didn't fire it up in the dream. It then turned anxiety-dream where I couldn't get the playlist changed before we went to break, then the automation just didn't work. If only there was something around that could have helped with the anxiety...

I have also been known to suffer from VDS (Vape Dream Syndrome). It can be quite serious in some cases and has even been known to cause nightmates!

However, the majority of my bouts have involved dreaming of vapes I DON'T already own, and am considering or VASing for.
