For the rapid green: flicking the power switch multiple times to reset, works for me.

For the red blinks: not 100% sure. Think it has been mention in the thread, that it is about a bad connection to the power supply. I already had my unit blinking red, disconnecting an reconnecting the power cord to the unit helped.
Also I had my unit to just not start up at all when switching it on (no led, no nothing) after a little wiggle on the power cord it started up ... blinking red. Unplugging and reconnecting the power cord did the trick.

For the red/green (auto shut-off): I think it isn't meant too completely shut down your unit but the heater.

But a glowing bamboo should not be common ... at least i haven't heard of any glowing bamboo's lately on the thread.

. . . And I have forgotten what warranty The Indiegogo 'Early bird' contributors were promised. I only received it this April so it should be covered. Was it 2 years warranty?

Sorry that your EVO is acting up. It does sound like it is overheating.

I checked the Indiegogo page and the only mention of warranty is for the Fanatic level (lifetime) . . .

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/...ve-your-health-one-lung-at-a-time/x/3674544#/

That said, I seem to recall something about a 2-yr warranty, perhaps for the International customers only. Still, fortunately you're definitely still covered.

I've heard some negative things said about that website in the past...and honestly I won't be buying any other hydratube clone except the real deal. Straight from vxh. Partly because I want to support the company and also because I don't know how the clones/knockoffs will function. It could ruin my evo ,maybe the water might spill -point is in not taking any chances and I will gladly pay a little bit more for that peace of mind.
Speaking of ht's looks like mine will be here Monday ,very excited !

Agreed. You get what you pay for, and I have tried a ton of glass with the VXC/Evo over the years and items bought directly from VX has always been my favorite. For extra smooth hits i recently busted out my Devistator, an old favorite. I also received a PM about the demensions. I will post up some pics soon. What a cool piece that comes apart for easy cleaning.

Hey guys, I'm very much keen to get an EVO even if it is on the expensive side but if the quality is as good as I'm hearing I'm willing to make that leap.

I just have a few questions. How does it perform with just the dry tube? Mylocation limits the HT's I can get (for now at least, will look at international sellers later). I have the choice between Swagger; double hydratube, side circ HT, sidetree HT and Vapexhale; hydrobomb, honeycomb and turbine. I'd prefer to go with the side tree initially as it's cheapest and aimed at flowers (I think) but if it's not any good I can fork out for the others. Which are the most recommended out of those? I'd rate smoothness as my highest priority.

Thanks

Did I ever mention what a good idea modular components are?

Happy Tuesday afternoon, people!

EDIT: @Jakexe ... I have the Swagger Double and I have to admit it is one of my favorite pieces. I didn't order it. It was a shipping mistake. I liked it so much I kept it. It is SMOOTH. If I was to only have one tube, the Double would be it.

@BoinG ... Unfortunately not the real Devastator. HT is the Evolver Hydratree. Just got the carb today from Oregon GB Mike. This setup is fantastic.

I realized that the most easy way to deal with this vape is leaving it at 11:00 for my small bowls, 12:00 for my bigger medium bowls. From start to end, without messing with lights or colors.
After a while the flavor dissipates regardless if you set it higher and always get a bit of a spent flavor. Sometimes the ABV is darker, most of the time is not.
That's what I do, and I'm pretty fine since doing this. I do small small bowls most of the time, just covering the base and another layer on top of it.

I'm in two mind whether to post pics of this hydrabase. Never done pics due to being the laziest man ever.

Picked it up from the post office this morning, but unfortunately had to head to work. It is sitting on my desk teasing me with its fragile sticker!

Pleasure delay till lunch break I reckon, then we can get tore in

Love you guys

Got my Evolver hydratree yesterday. Wow. This thing is so SMOOOTH. I can't say anything @oldiebutgoodie didnt. It's super sweet for sure. I'm not a fan of flared MPs but this one is perfectly done.
The only issue I see in mine and could be an issue with all of them based on pics I've seen, is the height of the splash guard on the bottom joint(fairly short). Mine will not work with the new style vapexnail. The HT won't seal with the new nail sitting in the bamboo. My HT came with a free nail and it is a smaller diameter than my original nails with the smile slot. This one has a bigger slot and a smaller diameter tubing and almost 1/2" or more of glass sticking above the bamboo. This hits the splash guard cover on the bottom joint of the HT. Not a huge deal as I have my original nails but might be a problem for users that bought a package deal with the Evolver HT and that is their only nail.
Anyone else seeng this issue that just got an Evolver?

Just got my Evo this morning with a Turbine Hydrotube. It has taken me some time to write this. I only use flower, not high quality as I cannot get my hands on it . My first load was about 0.06g's worth in to an ELB, got huge clouds left me coughing and sweating. Now I am here.

Should of got this thing a long time ago. It's expensive but the efficiency and vapor quality make up for it. I do get very worried pulling out the HT though; There is quite a bit of friction trying to pull it up and I'm very worried about breaking the bamboo, hope this loosens up over time .

Thanks @VapeFiend.com for the great service.

Mangos: if the joint doesn't get wet the joint shouldn't get locked. The fact the the HT is cold and the male joint is hot also helps detaching it (the other wy would be locking it, like putting a hot HT on a cold hydrafoot). Put the HT on top slowly with least force possible, don't even let gravity to make the seal and then it shouldn't be locked at all. If it gets locked, just rock the HT back and forth with little force and it should unlock. I preventively vibrate with my hand a little when I grab the HT before I pull it and it always lets me lift it withou any friction.

Thanks, @alltoreup for the info regarding the Evolver Hydratree and the VXNs. That's a detail people need to be be aware of.

@Mangos : There are a couple products out there to keep glass joints lubricated. I picked up some Tube Loob from a LHS just before my EVO arrived. VXH offers this on their website as well. There's another particular brand-name that is slipping my mind right now as well. The Tube Loob was only $5 and you only need a very little amount. I was also paranoid about joints locking up and accidentally breaking something. It doesn't seem like a huge danger, but I feel better having the stuff.

I neglected to mention that despite the great diffusion with this piece, there was no loss of flavor that I could detect. Another bonus.

I wonder if you may not have a defective nail, or maybe they aren't all that consistent? I measured my new/old nails; the length from the ledge at top of the nail (that sits on the top of the joint) is .3" on the old nail and .35" on the new nail, not close to .5" Consequently the very top of both my nails sits below the splash guard slot. I noticed the slightly smaller diameter, but I don't see that having any effect. The new nail is slightly shorter that the original. Maybe worth an inquiry to VXL?

I would just add that the rocking as @Seek describes works because the bamboo joint is slightly shaved to protect against lock. I've had only 2 locks since I got my Cloud OG, and both freed pretty easily. I've read here that if doesn't come up with the gentle little rocking, sometimes it's better to let everything cool to ambient. You probably know this already, but the worst thing you can do - aside from panic - is to twist the HT.

You seriously said it right ! @oldiebutgoodie
I had to try the hydra tree out on Monday and it was phenomenal. I used to dislike tree percs but this piece has changed that .good diffusion but the flavor is so strong. I'd say even better then my Hydraline.
And to the person who got a nail that, was too long I got the same kind!I had my dab ready to go and I put the ht on and it didn't get that tight seal. I still got a decent hit actually but it's too tall for me to feel safe using it again. I'll see if the hydra line fits it if no maybe there's a way to shave off a few mm? Anyone know the right tools to do that job ?I feel like the nails are overpriced if their just handing them out pretty much. And QC could be better but I'm not disappointed at all. I'm sure as the company grows they will strengthen weakness like that. The evo is such a fricken awesome vape already. I would gladly fund a campaign for a portable unit. I know they discussed it earlier in the year. I hope by the end of this one we will know something new ! Just imagine a portable evo with decent battery life...I'm drooling already
