Had this gadget for more than a year and I've been thinking of using my Heavy-Hitter with a cartridge like Omicron's Hercules.
Why Hercules? Well I ghettofied the regular cart that comes with the heavy hitter. Only difference with mine is it was from a mmj dispensary so it had THC in their liquid form. I took the hard cotton absorbant that contained the already used up THC (OG Kush) out and left the heating coil by itself. Ground up some herb and threw it in there, held the button down and it worked too well. Bud turned black but didn't catch fire. I put a screen in from my no2 but the heat transfer is to minimal for THC to vape.
Which is why I'd love to use The Hercules, loose leaf style. I JUST DON'T KNOW THE THREAD SIZE
The battery is a 650 mA, 3.7 volts Lithium ion rechargeable battery

First off, just because there was no flame or cherry doesn't mean you didn't combust. Dollars to doughnuts you did (the black stuff), it's just no fire because the fuel/air ratio is too far off to sustain combustion. Once you took the outside heat away it died off. Rest assured chemicals were being converted to other stuff, some of it pretty nasty. That's were all the stuff that wasn't carbon (charcoal) went to in the black bits.

The tread size of which? The battery you now have is no doubt 510 thread. Hercules, same as all other D9 stuff, uses the older m601 thread, basically the same size but different thread pitch. To put the latter on the former you'll need one of these:

However, I strongly suspect that little E cig battery isn't up to the power demands of Hercules. Mine is the 7.4 Volt version so I can't try it, but it's running something like 25 Watts, probably about 3 or four times the power you're using now. I think it'll take something in the Omicron or TV Ultra level to drive it.

    Good luck with your experiments.

Oh it was combustion alright. tasted like metallic arse of a leftover transformer.

OK not That bad but it was unpleasant. after dancing with the switch I could get it just right for vapor at first, but the heating coil in the cartridge i had was just too much of a little bitch? so then straight to the yuckies was inevitable & of course the blackened herb disrupted the contacts so the cart gave out.

My whole reason for this experiment was because I saw the Hercules and it got me thinking, but like OF stated hercules will need more battery juice to be operational, which is why I started looking for other options and Barely seeing thermovapes LV dart (about 2 weeks ago?) made my eyes lighten up!

Interesting OF, what makes you say my Heavy Hitter is no doubt a 510 thread size?

Liberty is a good outfit, IMO. I get stuff there. There's a discount code available at the top of the main page (25%?). Fast to.

Those threads looks very identical. And at that price. Pshh I've been Robbed, I payed $250 for my kit about a year ago, although I got 2 carts. One indica and one sativa. Which provide me about 200 hits, A USB charger but NO mouthpiece.

Anyway. OF you've done it again.
    Kudos man. KUDOS.

I will definitely do a demo of the H-H, with my Revolution Dart as soon as i get it, ordered it 2 days ago.
This experiment is going a little further than i expected. Haven't seen anyone else review this model so it should be a pleasant add of info to the site.

Late response, but you have a grand Christmas as well OF!

Sorry they got you, but you're a more informed customer now.

If you've got a few spare bucks to move the project along you might want to consider buying a new battery as well. Notice the latest version of the -C has two interesting options. The normal one not only comes in 'upgrade' version allowing for more output voltage as long as the battery will support it. This means hotter hits, but it can be used as a 'pass through', that is it can be charged with a USB cable in the bottom, even as you're using it.

Also check out the 'twist' version at the bottom. No USB port, but instead you get a dial to change the power level at will...... It won't take heavy loads (like DART) to six Volts but it will drive it well over power normally available from even freshly charged battery (at reduced run time of course). This is a favorite set up of NDA, a very informed guy who haunts the joint and passes on advice worth taking seriously.

Also worth noting is the 18650 battery version, a little bigger, comes in 'upgrade' version and can have 4 or 5 times the battery life and features quick swap out with a charged battery:
    http://www.liberty-flights.com/product.asp?id=145

Also note most of these guys feature a power lock out, hit the button five times real quick, it flashes the light a couple of times then goes dead until 5 more presses. Makes it safe to drop in your pocket.

Your very welcome for the help, glad I could, thanks very much for the kind Christmas wishes.....
