Hi, anyone have experience with what frequency of LED light shows off vapor the best??
I have a lamp on my vape station but wondering:
- do LED lights provide excellent viewing of vapor?
- I found some 2700K softlight LEDs at COSTCO for a good price. Would 60W or 100W make a great vape station light? Would clear LED bulbs work better?
Vape station has small desktop lamp with lampshade where I exhale over the lampshade to see the vapor better.

Thanks

I use SMD (which is LED) flashlight to see my vapor, the tricky part that is not just about the lumens, it also about the FOCUS, you want the light to be concentrated, like light saber. so you want to buy somthing with ajustable focus.
(im using a cheap fake UltraFire)

i remember there was a post
about using side lighting
and black/dark background
(based on how you photograph smoke)

i use ordinary bulb in reading lamp
and black tshirt on a coathanger behind
(out of the light)
and i blow under the lampshade

vapor really shows against the black

I agree....a key light (tighter focus light) perpendicular to the vapor stream and a black background will highlight vapor and smoke. I don't think you need to worry about the wavelength of the light emission...just plain old white light will do it, either warm from incandescent or cool from LED or anywhere in between IMO. :2c:
