Did you guys have to sign something in order to receive the product through the mail or were you able to receive the package without signature? (They just drop it off)

Wow, this thing is looking really cool. Especially if big brother ship is digging it. Say, what are the odds on adding some light oil or tincture to the mix prior to rolling?

do you have to let it heat up fully before you raise the temp, or can you turn it on, hold the button down 10 seconds and raise temp with out waiting for it to fully heat up the first time?

I am liking this product more and more... have to admit I was first turned off after having another product that looks similar but was not a true vape, and also produced in china, but obviously NOT the same design. Now that I've taken a closer look, it's looking pretty good. I'd like to see more user videos...

I'm also waiting for an Ascent, but I sure wish I had more cash at the moment because I'm impatient and really like the look of this thing. Some crazy part of me is tempted to just cancel my Ascent order, get my money back, and get this instead. Not there yet, but if there are many more shenanigans from DaVinci at this point it could happen!

Heat up time seems similar to the divinci(when its not plugged in) 1-2 minutes. I had to sign for it when it came i am not sure that there is another option, there might be but i don't think so. Few thoughts:And Impressions: Cleaning the tube couldn't be simpler, the tools provided will keep it very clean. If you roll your own cigarettes you will have to roll them thin and small and for this reason i recommend the long tube(for this purpose). Also i have a feeling rolling a joint and smoking with this would be awesome, especiialy with flavored papers and this sort of thing(again has to be thin and small! 0.2gram max i would say!)

First Test run: Used loose leaf tobacco and got a few very nice drags, very intense, got the effect nicely but was harsh and i think if i broke it up more and packed it more loose it could have been better. 2nd: Used rolled from whole leaf tobacco(thin one with rice paper) Certainly got the job done! Wow nicotine rush! hahaha Not a lot of visible vapor, which is something i think can improve with better packing(Loosly i am thinking. 3rd try:(Sorry Mom i;m chain smoking today)(With a machine rolled tube cigarette cut in half) Once again effect is there but clouds of vapor not, i think i am rolling them too tight, for my next try i will attempt finely broken up tobacco and loosely packing it. Burns nicely and evenly but i am getting nothing for vapor! And it feels clogged, i am straining to get a nice drag, some tips would be helpful to get some more vapor, i want big clouds! i got them for my first two hits but that was it. I will be trying cannabis with this tonight and report back, i might even do a spliff with it, ill report back, the da vinci has spoiled me with big clouds, move vapor clouds please!

Thanks for the review! I only own a Davinci so the comparison was perfect. I was looking for something quicker than the DV but I still may have to get one anyway.

(trying shipdips method for more vapor production) (With tobacco) Also using a brass filter now!(Duh?) I got a nice cloud for the first hit but not nothing for the rest(tried increasing temperature as well. Could it be the tobacco i have? Cause i'm getting the effect but hardly any vapor. Perhaps i have some adjusting to do, the MFB took me a week to get good vapor production, any tips would be helpfull, maybe i should try a commercial cigarrete like american spirt and see how that goes. For now i will try cannabis and report back.

Sure, in theory. The taste is affected though, and as I am only an occasional nicotine user I thought I would contaminate the taste of this unit since it accepts rolled cigarettes. I have a friend that smokes organic american spirits so maybe I can bum an inch off of him once in a while lol. Although I've experienced a variety of nicotine buzzes I've actually never inhaled tobacco vapor before, and I am looking forward to it.

I do not understand this quest for clouds. If you are getting the effects, why do you need a cloud? Cloudy vapour is wasteful vapour, and is also hotter and harsher. Vapour itself isn't visible, and the clouds are coming from condensation on the aerosol particles. These are the same particles that cause lung and throat irritation.

Works great with cannabis, first 2 drags were beautiful with very nice clouds of vapor. Got another 8 drags or so with smaller amounts of vapor but good taste, works nicely, i am wondering if breaking up the material very fine would help airflow? That seems to be my only complaint is that i would like some better airflow, i feel like it gets clogged a bit, but all in all, i just had a very good session and i could have put a little more in there(i filled long tube 3/4 way).

I understand pakalolo, what you are saying is true, i have been smoking tobacco in joints for a long time, not to mention blunts, etc..... i think this is the reason i have a quest for clouds, habitual gratification from large clouds of exhaled smoke. I guess i just want to feel like I'm smoking a cigarette. This tvape definitely packs a punch, and has some great features. After some fiddling with i am starting to get good results and i anticipate i will get better at using it at its full potential.

I added the long tube to my order. Why? Because I have quite a few packs of unused zigzags laying around and nothing else to do with them.

There is an art to using this thing, when i load it right, and find my groove with it, it is very rewarding, i do not regret purchasing it, the vapor production(clouds) is better now it my most recent sessions, i have tried a tobacco/flower mixture, this is a device i will be using weekly for both tobacco and others!

    Two questions, please:

Have you had good results with bud alone (no tobacco)?
What technique did you use to get those results?

    TIA

I can't wait to try this thing out. Short tube for flowers only and long tube for tobacco/spliffs. That way I won't get the mouthpieces mixed up lol.

This will be a lot like having two completely different vaporizers :)

Yeah but I figured it out after the fact. The price isn't listed on the selection page (it says $0.0), but it is on the item page; it's $65 before discount and shipping for either size.

I have had good results with bud alone, i recieved bigger hits(than tobacco). I dropped the bud into the top. Filled it half full. Hit nicely for me at all temperatures, i am going to have to try to fill this thing full with bud, the chamber could possibly fit .3? Also like i said i think i did a loose leaf tobacco and bud mixture which also had great results, i am still working with tobacco to get it how i want it, i'm sure a real cigarette would be easier i think... also worth noting these thing seems very strong and sturdy, to me it has a unique draw to it, it is slower but then again it seemed like a faster draw with cannabis, it is taking some getting used to for me but i Have Had the Best Success with bud and it is better than the magic flight box for me, i feel like i'm rambling, i hope i answered your questions, i like this device for it's versatility.

For myself, it's just part of the pleasure...I like blowing smoke rings, watching it slowly curl around...and once in awhile when I have friends over, it's nice to fill a room with cloudy vapor :D

That being said, I wish I could be happy with no visible vapor, because it is indeed gentler on the lungs.

has anyone tried a gentle tamping of the herb...not packing down but compressing it some? I found with my INH, which heats in a similar manor, it hits better if it's packed down some, but not too tight, so not to restrict airflow. I like seeing clouds too, but when it comes to portables, I don't find that to be a deal breaker as long as it's getting me where I need to be, esp if I am trying to be stealthy which is more the case when out using a portable. At home I have plenty of cloud producing machines :D

Meant to respond earlier but couldn't have put it better myself!

I also think for me there is some psychology to it from my combusting days or perhaps going back much further to my younger days taking huge rips with my buddies. I am also a former cigarette smoker and vapor is a great substitute for the ritual. I don't really pay attention to the e-cig market but from what I have seen, visible vapor seems to be a requirement. In other words, this seems to be widespread regardless of the desired physical effect.

Thanks very much. The bigger hits with herb over tobacco definitely puzzles me some.

It seems to me a vape with lack luster vapor production using top shelf bud won't be all that popular. Good to hear that you're getting good results in the area....although I guess I don't understand that yet....
