Thermovape T1

Hey guys - I'm looking to pick up a fairly cheap vape for a trip I will be taking soon. I want to have a clean, unused vape and there will be some fine herbs waiting for me at my destination.

I've done a lot of research. Basically I am about to pull the trigger on the Thermovape T1. It is available from Vapornation for only $132 which seems like excellent value.

I'm just looking for something that is easy to use, produces nice vapor from herbs, etc. It is only a 2 week trip so I don't really care about efficiency.

Any comments or advice before I pull the trigger. It seems like a nice little unit and very good value at that price.

Thanks as always :)

I would get a Solo instead. My buddy just picked one up cheap on ebay ($130), and Solo seems to get far better reviews than the T1. I have a T1 and wouldn't recommend one. I mean I can get good clouds off it, but it takes several warm up hits to get there, and perfect technique. Also it gets too hot to touch after only 1 bowl.

Here's what my buddy got this:

Ha ha excellent choice. I already have a Solo but I have really thought about getting a second. $160 at the moment from one of the retailers (I forget who). I just kind of want to get something different. At the end of my trip I am going to clean the vape up and send it to myself in the mail. Only thing with a Solo on a trip I would need to drop another $35 for a stem from Eds. So $195 plus shipping is a lot for a vape that I already own :(

Good point about the technique though. Sounds like a problem.

Yeah, I'd tend to agree with you on the MFLB. It's a quality vape, but it takes a long sesh and a lot of hits to get ripped. I use my friend's from time to time, and even with his 'special' batteries, it still doesn't quite soothe my vapor itch, if you will.

What about Vapor Genie? Have you tried those?

You need a vape for a trip so you won't want a solo or an LB because you won't be able to fully clean the units. Realistically for a trip thermovape is hard to beat because of the boiling aspect but if portability isn't a huge issue I highly recommend the Glass Sherlock Vaporgenie. It's all glass so can be entirely cleaned, hits like a train, is quick and tasty!

Thanks guys. Actually I did look at the vapor genie. I assumed it might be like a MFlb and require a lot of work to get where I want to be. "Hits like a train" - well I like the sound of that. Is a glass Sherlock vapor genie different from a regular vapor genie?

Glass>Wood IMO. Glass is a preferred airpath compared to wood. Also, the GVG can be completely soaked to clean it I believe.

There are a lot of similarities between the MFLB and the T1. Its an OK vape IMO compared to other portables I have owned but I think the Flashvape is far better vape for $130 than the T1. not as portable but a nicer unit in most other ways.

Its not totally boilable like a T1. but flavor, clouds, ease of use, and build quality are all there.

if you lived in a medical state a cheap pen with oil would be perfect for the job. just throw it away when your done.

For reference, buzz quality, clouds, and ease of use are my biggest priorities.

The FV is far easier to learn IMO than the T1. Novices pull nice clouds from my FV and no first timer has ever even gotten a good hit from the T1. seems like on vacation, easy to use is good since time to master the device is limited.

I will agree with the previous poster than another solo is a good option as well. I saw email promotion from vendor I have bought 2 arizer products from for $130 delivered twice in the last month.

Never tried a vapor genie.

Hey guys - just wanted to say thanks for all of your helpful input. After much consideration I have decided to go for the Thermovape T1. At $132 after FC discount it was just too good a deal for me to refuse. Fingers crossed I can get the hang of it pretty fast. It just seemed to be the best choice for me right now in terms of convenience (no flames, loose parts, etc. Plus I will be driving a bit so the car charger is quite appealing). I must say though I did think hard about getting another Solo and the Glass Sherlock Vapor Genie is certainly an interesting device as well. Ru-Frothi I did think about the Flashvape as well but I heard some bad things about it and was turned off. Anyway, best of all I will be vaping safely and having fucked combustion completely I am very please about that!!

good luck watch out for the T1. you can certainly combust with it if not careful and sometimes even when careful.
