the "spiked" version of the ego atomizer is known as the "eGo-T Atomizer"...it is the same as above but has a thin metal plate with two air slits on either side. A spike protrudes from the center of this plate, and its hollow core opens directly onto the little metal coil of metal and fiberglass wicking...
The "T" in ego-T stands for TANK....this atomizer is designed to hold a thick plastic tank full of Propylene Glycol (PG) or Vegetable Glycerin(VG)...PG and VG are the base of all e-cig style juices. It is usually about like a karo syrup in consistency and is colorless with a slightly sweet or vanilla scent.
Anything thicker or gummier probably wont flow from the tank properly, or will gum up or close up the air slits so it gets tough to get airflow....lack of liquid or airflow leads to overheating, dryness or "DRATTY!" in your atomizer. It's an altogether unpleasant burnt or metallic flavor.
If you have the plastic tanks with a "hole" in the bottom (and not just a sleeve that is open ended) you have everything needed to enjoy your new vapor cigar. Order some pg/vg juice with or without some nicotine, fill up the tank properly, and snap it onto that spike. Each breath should draw a drop of liquid down onto that atomizer coil and 'steam" it off of the coil when you hit the button. Welcome to the really tasty and satisfying world of E-cig users!...Lots of great flavors like blueberry, tobacco, and tons of random flavors like fruit stripe gum or cinnamon redhots await...If the atty is scorched, or dead or questionable, just get a new replacement ego-t atty and a replacement tanks for less than 20 bucks...juice is around a dollar a ml at most, and 1ml of juice should fill a tank and provide about 4 hours of puffing.
FYI, the device is a knockoff or clone of the Joyetech eGo-T. Nothing works as well as a real Joyetech in my opinion. Hopefully the atomizer is of a unique design that just externally mimics the design of an ego-T atty. I will hold final judgement of course until more info and PICTURES are released as well as useage videos from the manufacturer. (ahem) Just thought it important to clear up WHAT an eGo-T atomizer for e-cigarettes was...
Seriously, I would like to know what's up as well, but I have bought 2 vapes and 1 new piece of glass this month, so I gotta be a little mo conservative... 
but the ego (trippy stix what ever lol) was 150$ double pen set, one tip and a case. I asked why the Omicron's were so cheap when they retail for 120 he said they were returned from patients. After grilling the dude about the ego for like an hr cause I had never seen one on FC I picked it up. Largely for the stealh factor. But at the price he had for the omicron I may pick it up too haha. On another note I checked out the you tube video and mine has the "trippy tip" or what joye just calls a tank filled with the hash. As inspiration from the video I threw a lil chunk of super melt in their popped the hash tip on and was blowin huge clouds out.
