Discontinued The Sublimator

Gentle cow vaper and halloween kiddo
I do count on the new version being hinted at to be released soon(ish)... with apollo heat shield, 220V and other great improvements not yet revealed (?) :D

that should at least protect the "bigger" kids :spliff:

I got my first drip...that didn't take very long!
Ahha the amber drip........I have a stainless steel stir stick/screen placer for my sub, sometimes when I'm too lazy to grab a dabber I just shove that bad boy into my atty and grease it up for a dab. UFO is king for double deckers, even just straight oil. Might be a good idea for those that like oil through the Apollo but don't wanna bog their unit down?

I usually don't dab BHO, but I have been hitting it heavily at around 33 to 35 watts in my failing Apollo. Even though the temp is not hot enough, there is pretty minimal waste, and it is much better than using a torch and ti nail. So much smoother and tastier.

Must be a Christmas miracle because I am at 37 watts right now. Highest in awhile.

Hey Fellow Members, I am getting a Sublimator for x-mas & would like to pick up a screen for it, but can't seem to find the page with that thread on it , when this was previously discussed? I think it was an Iolite screen, but want to make sure before I pick one up today in anticipation for the Big Day !! Seen a lot of the videos with them putting them back in before a hit & know that it wasn't one of the ones supplied with the unit.

Iolite fine mesh screens work perfectly for me. They fit perfect and comes out when you dump the load. I use a mini brush to clean them and have been using the same 2 screens for a few months without any major cleaning.

The Sub is a very heavy hitter for a first time vape! Please proceed with caution... you are in for one heck of a ride!

i use the iolite double woven. it fits better than the solid screen, imo

Yeah I meant the double woven ones. I didn't know that's what they are called, but yeah they work great.

Thanks Bob, I have read your replies on this subject, but with so many pages now on this thread I couldn't locate it. Appreciate your patience ! I will let you all know how she worked out for me as I'm like a little kid right now waiting for x-mas morning, I'll probably be up @ 4am plugging her in !! Cheers.

update on screens

so after trying many of the suggested variations i have settled on my setup.
my goal was easy of use combined w/ how infrequently they required cleaning.
EDiT - i also wanted easy of draw, i.e. little restriction and effectiveness

i am still using the ultra fine screen set in the lower section
and in the upper i have chosen the iolite double ultrafine screen (it is double thick, 2 ultrafine screens woven together.

i have used this setup for 3-4 days straight now and haven't had to clean either of them and the lower screen looks fresh as a new daisy.

ok @Bob Loblaw -- I just searched this thread for Iolite screen and found you saying this over and over again! I was laughing thinking of you cussing me when I asked yet another time!

BUT --- can you link to these screens somewhere? I don't think I've seen these linked unless it is the ones on amazon for $12.95. But then which one would that be? you are the only one mentioning a double ultrafine. enrico is using the one with the metal enclosure in one video. anyhow, if you could link it, they will come!

I have used both types and they both work. The double woven ones work better and keep your sublimate cleaner. I think these screens should have been what the Sub ships with. They drop right in and pop out effortlessly. And like I said before...a mini brush is all that's needed to keep them fresh and free flowing.
