Just quick question for anyone that's order from RBT recently on shipping. Got notice 3 days ago that package shipped. So far the only tracking info has been shipping label created. Did tracking work or did it just show up?

Ok guess getting a little annoyed. Bought item cause I thought in was in stock and shipping been almost a week since order and 3 days since package said shipping info label created.

Guess spoiled by quick free shipping from other vaporizer I order. Paid $14.00 for shipping guess least would expect it a tad quicker is all.

Guess looking like maybe no milaana this weekend. Sorry to vent just excited is all.

Perhaps you should email them, or even call....I know I would.....but patience has not always been something I have in my possession......

Yep just sent them a email. Darn patience I do stink at. Never preorder vaporizer cause of it. I do like to buy direct from manufacturer whenever possible. Heck when you factor in shipping even with the 10% off I still could got it cheaper with more bonuses and quicker from a retailer. But decided to buy direct.

Ok rant completed going go enjoy my day. Hopefully it be here soon.

Decided to send in old reliable, was working perfectly with a flaw in the glass. They will fix, adjust whatever needs upgrading, and return. I have a newer model hardly used I'm sipping on now, with two old classics backing her up. Still can't wait for my baby to return!

@HerbieVonVapster
It will arrive, you will love it so much, you'll forget all this. One word of advice, get 2. Hope your vape arrives soon, so the good stuff can happen.

BTW
finally settling on an avatar, there are 5 Milaanas in that picture!

All good I read a lot of moaning here had add some of my own. Really hoping the milaana holds me over till zoins start shipping. Wanted try the tech before jumping right in. I almost pre ordered a zoin to get the special price on a milaana. Hopefully I will hear something from RBT back before the weekend.

Looking forward to having some on demand multi unit testing soon.

Hey fellow Milaanistaz,

hope everyone's enjoying their hot steamin' Mi'sses!

A while back, some were talking about using degummed hemp fiber in the stem. Got some finally thanks to George from VapCap - and was thinking about how to utilize properly in the Mi stem...
I don't wanna ruin the free flow too much, cause I'm used to take the long stem and can ride it pretty well in terms of temp sensing and pulling never ending tasty clouds...(got some fresh mat. and I couldn't believe I was chewing on a micro dose for numberous draws, to find out it's still greenish golden, no stirr!! slow draws and feathering it like in a video game :D)

Well, I digressed .. How do you guys use your hemp fibre? What benefits you get? Cooler vapor? Reclaim?

Thanks guys!!

Have a nice weekende everyone!!

:peace:

P.S. The Samsung batt really impressed me.. had this super long session (loads not killed yet) and it's down to 4.06 - control of the temp was heavenly

I just use the fiber for concentrates myself.
I just make a little disc of fiber by tearing a bit off and wrapping one end round a wooden chopstick, and slowly spinning the stick while very gently holding the fiber, so that it forms a disc.
While the 'disc' is still on the stick I insert it into the bowl of the stem and remove the stick (by reversing the direction of spin and pulling it out) leaving the fiber disc behind.
I generally use the stick to further spread/flatten the disc to evenly cover the screen and provide a good place to put concentrate.
I have tried this with just one pad of fiber, and sandwiching concentrate between two.
I've found one adequate, as it's possible to nestle the dab in the little hole left behind in the center of the pad by the removal of the stick, allowing it to spread out into the pad when heat is applied.

You don't need much fiber.
Just enough to make a disc which covers the screen, and no more.

Once I receive my new stems from Ryan and can use my Milaana again I plan to also use a little fiber in the stem (wrong side of the screen) to catch ABV dust and keep the reclaim in the stem clean.

Sending in Pascal today for cracked glass (from 4ft drop onto concrete w/ j-hook installed, oops), been using it this way for a couple months. Now that my Milaana is my only vape, I've decided to take an RBT-CS-determined t-break and get a clean joint and hopefully the other updates, too.

@Bravest, I think both our Mis going in are beyond the 60day glass warranty, do you know what charges there might be?

Not sure, I reported mine awhile back, but I'd bet reasonable no matter what.

Damn, the Mi is starting to spoil my Zi experience! Exactly like how the Zi spoiled my experience with all my other vapes previously...

I got a hot running Mi, and on a fresh battery I just count "one two" of preheat, then "one two three" of trigger then "one two" of clearing and I get my first wispy hit. Then the same timing and I get that gorgeous savory first full bodied hit, the one you almost would like to eat as it feels so good!

With my sweet spot on the alpha Zion it's "one... four" preheat, "one....four" trigger, then "one...five" clearing. Previously it felt pretty quick already, but now with that almost instant Mi gratification, it's sometimes frustrating that it's so slow!

But I know that this is this relative "slowness" that makes all the difference and allows me to get cooler temperature extended sessions without stirring and better taste for longer with the Zi. That's why I don't use it at full power. I end with a darker and more uniform ABV and the taste stays excellent until the session is almost over... but of course my sessions are longer overall in return.

Still, once you get the chance to experience the quickness of the Mi, you want everything to be equally fast! So far only "the Project" is able to compete on that aspect, but it's more finicky and involved.

I'm not even mentioning how most conduction vapes feel like tiny farts of vapor in comparison to the Mi/Zi clouds...

I don't know about anybody else but I can't stand the thought of inhaling a fart from anything. Damn Kero I was eating when I read that. And now I can't quit picturing god awful scenes in my twisted mind. Ha. That was a funny little read there Kero. I'm glad the Mi is starting to pull you in also.

I find it quite amusing all you folks culling the rest of your herd and getting multiple Milaanas instead.

Don’t get me wrong, the Milaana is awesome and probably gets most use out of my 8 or so vapes, however I can't imagine not having the variety available.

If this was one of my first vapes, i would likely have spent way less time and money searching/experimenting and have less vapes, but now that i have the variety, i can't imagine going back to just one or two vapes.

I'm glad the Mi really hits the spot for people, though

I'm definitely in that camp of wanting a few of them. God forbid it goes out of production or something. I couldn't imagine anything else and I've used a ton of vapes. Definitely the best one I've ever owned. ill need another one or two for sure.

Don't know which I'm more excited for my new puppy or my new Mi! Both being delivered tomorrow!!

So if I like the Mi and decide to pre order the Zion can I still get the discount on the MI? Or should I email them when the time arrives?

After looking at the Zion I'm realizing the simplicity of the Mi is something I highly prefer in a vape

I'm not sure to understand, does something make you think the Zi is less simple than the Mi? Because in practice, it's rather the inverse: the Zi is more forgiving and easier to use with the regulation.

Trigger timing is less critical and you don't have to adjust for the battery discharge level, meaning you hit the trigger exactly the same time every session until you reach the red zone and stop getting vapor.

At first I used to change the power setting a lot, starting low then increasing during the session. But now it's always set to my sweet spot and I don't touch it. I can still do the temp stepping but it's done just by adjusting the timings (I hit the trigger longer and longer as the session advances)

But with that particular sweet spot, I get a very gentle temperature rise curve. Or say, the temperature rise is well balanced / countered by my draw speed, it's hard to explain... but overall it feels simpler to use.

I have 2... one an early preorder and another updated one from PV. they both seem to be tuned the same as far as speed and heat, which is just about perfect. I was expecting the new one to be hotter but it's not. now that I know how to really use this thing, I can't be without it. it's the vape I reach for the most. not much else to say

Yeah, in a sense Zion is the easier vape. But as a vape to replace combustion Milaana is a bit simpler to use with one button control. Once you already understand battery level and trigger control, it is very easy like other vapes without temp settings. Why I have been relying on Milaana more, but I do kinda miss Zion versatility and such

I'd love to see a picture of your family members together.

I bought 2. The main difference I notice is the tiny screen where the air flow goes. My first one came with steel wool or something like that to put in the hole. I also don't like the screw for the cap on the second one. It's very loose and doesn't tighten the way the original one did. But it works the same.

Looks like a job for!
Remember this post guys?
I have more than enough ordered.

If RBT will pick up the line I can Potentially get a unit's shipping address changed from mine to yours. PM sent to get the address conversation going.

If not we will just have to tough it out till # 2 arrives at my door and I can send it off to @DDave

Well @DDave has his MIL now and I have had his first pass at the mod from the items he has on hand and tested it all the last few days.

Did someone say micro-dosing? well here is a 14mm tapered down bowl, which yes I do realize kinda defeats the purpose of the 18mm female on the unit itself but it does allow a tiny micro bowl screen. This really is the final cherry on making this thing like a portable log, as it reduced the bowl size to near the nano.
lf0a7s0.jpg

The adapter I have cut down to be more flush with the 14mm glass joint.

The taper on the 18 and 14mm mouthpiece is not a wide bore here and is pretty nice in the mouth overall, but I think something in-between what i have here and the stock RBT ones would be my ideal.
Here it is with the 18mm tapered stem.

Speaking of which did you notice the kick-ass basket screen tips? They work well seem durable so far clean easy in ISO/ETH and best of all can hold keif with 0 particle pass-through!:bowdown:

gYeUwYw.jpg

The above image shows on the left a RBT stock stem, on the right is a cut down ISO stem to match the relative length. Please note how this decreases the internal diameter as the glass wall is thicker, just something to note. This pick also shows off the screen well. The ISO stem has a RBT screen installed in it.
0AfSgkd.jpg

The screens @DDave has fit an RBT stem perfectly with a little bit of a scrunch on the first install, then a snug fit then on.

I have had 0 issue with the stem contacting with the heater screen with this basket screen installed on the top of a stock stem, tho I do believe the final revision will have a bit more space to work with here for safety of the unit itself.

Also something to note, which I forgot to take a good PIC of is the stem itself has an internal screen below the basket screen, which is a good second layer to catch something. But more importantly you can load between the basket and the internal screen, for a lower bowl (similar to how the stems come with screen installed from RBT) so what this allows you to do is pack the same stem in 2 locations.

:worms::worms: Then what about double-decker bowls like the SUB? Herb in the internal chamber hash ETC in the basket? :worms::worms:
You can see the internal screen in Pic # 1 and 4 in this post, its visible from outside the unit.

:science::science:If anything here seems up your ally hit @DDave up and hop on in with us in the beta of developing this mod. :science::science:

Pretty sure he also has the screens available if you just want those.
