I bought a business a few years ago and there were a few SEARS CRAFTSMAN Rolling tool boxes I acquired. This one was empty so I found it useful for my stealth management.

I don't have the luxury like most on this site were you can have your medical devices in you house.

It says add to cart, that means you can buy it right now and it will ship as soon as they package it up and get it out the door.

Okay thanks. Also I'm guessing the Hercules that is included is the oil and herb 7.4v. but it really doesn't hurt to ask.

That would be my assumption as well, however I am not 100% on that. You could give them a call and ask, they should know. Otherwise I am sure someone who has ordered that kit will chime in eventually.

The Hercules I ordered earlier this month was for flower or oil, so I doubt that has changed. You may want to wait till mid January to order though, since that is when the replacement attachments were going out, last I heard.

Not sure best place to ask, but a question regarding the 18650 Trustfire batteries that came with persei's some time ago. Are they protected or unprotected batteries? Basically i have another device that uses 18650 batteries but it says: do not use ICR Li-Co un-protected lithium ion, lithium cobalt batteries. Any battery has to be protected with a minimum 2C. So i'm curious if the 18650 i already have for the persei can be used.

so i loaded .8 of budder into the 2.4 cartridge with the single 3.7 battery and im not getting any visable vapor, but i am tasting the concentrate and getting stoned. Not titanium nail stoned but stoned nonetheless. Is this normal.?

It's not normal, you should be seeing something really. It could be a couple of things, first off how clean is the concentrate? If you put a bit of it on some foil and heat it with your lighter does it all evaporate cleanly away leaving no residue? I got some 'budder' from a top flight dispensary that had too much plant material in it to feed well.

Assuming the concentrate is OK (melts and flows freely and evaporates cleanly) it sounds like a fill fault. Did you do a good job of preheating the center part of the cart so the budder didn't hit cool metal and 'clot up' leaving an air bubble trapped below? This happens a lot with new users. If this is the case we can probably fix it.

the budder burns clean with no residue off the ti nail, it should be good to go.

i tried heating from the middle all the way up to the fill tool and back while rotating until the cartridge filled up. Maybe i did its cloged in the middle?

That's actually not what I asked. I asked about heating it up on the foil and watching the progress. Nails can be hot enough that stuff that will foul out the Omicron at 420F can flash off there. The cart never gets anywhere near that temperature, performance on the nail or Ti swing doesn't count.

How does it do in 'the foil test'?

It's pretty common for new owners to do just that. They don't preheat enough before moving up so the first bit to melt down (and remember it's going to be just barely melted....) sticks lower down. Everything following sticks to that. Done 'right' you can actually feel the hot oil drop down to the bottom where your fingers are (it get's hotter even though you're heating the top).

Remelting it where it sticks (close to the seals) can be pretty dicey, we don't want to try until we've exhausted the 'inappropriate concentrate' issue since we're going to end up overheating the seals if not extremely careful/lucky. Much better to preheat then drop the oil.

OF, before i read your last response, i decided to carefully heat the cartridge from the middle to the top back and forth with a torch on very low and now im getting fat hits and visable vapor! seems like it was caught in the middle like you thought. I guess i dont need to do the foil test. Thanks for the help brotha.

Great news. I agree, foil tests are most useful before you put a lot of expensive concentrate into a not too cheap either cart. If it's working well, it's working well.

IMO you got lucky, it's a pretty fine line getting enough heat in to melt the entire load hot enough to flow freely without wrecking the seals 1/4 inch or so below. Be on the look out for leaks (the usual result of too much heat). The key for next time is to get the center 'plenty hot' before moving up.

Thanks, enjoy the machine, it's a good one for sure. Expect about 3 mg or so per hit. It will retain as much as .2 in the wicks and elsewhere, so when the first .5 or so gets used up (maybe 150 hits?) plan on adding another .5. In the future I'd also recommend against starting with more than half, leaks become much more likely above that and once they start they're basically there for the life of the cart....best we can hope for is some control (not elimination).

Yup, that's what I said. Given the first load is going to 'soak up' some I might cheat that a bit but my general advice is half a gram at a time. I think that's the general 'smart money' view, if you poke back a bit you'll find G recommending it as well. Loading issues and most leaks are much easier to avoid that way.

It's actually very easy to do. I put the full vial (minus cap) on the scale and zero it out. Then I scoop out .5 or .6 and put it in the funnel for loading, putting the remainder away for refills. When it slows up (typically under .2 from empty weight) I invert the half full vial in the funnel and add the remainder. Since doing this I don't think I've had any leaking issues worth mentioning....including some Sour Diesel oil I really like but was a chronic leaker.

Try it, I think you'll agree it's a much better way to go.

I just got a gram of SOUR DIESEL HONEY OIL CO2.
I load the same way 0.5 gram at a time.
No leaks lately on the 2.4V carts.
My last 3 2.4V carts are taken up with:
Hybrid - PINEAPPLE EXPRESS (late afternoon early evening)
Indica - 007 OG (Before bed because this ones puts me right to sleep)
Sativa - SOUR DIESEL (Doing projects)
All CO2 Honey Oils (BUTANE gives me a headache?)
Before I used mostly waxes well purged. (This new source of CO2 extract works amazing in a PERSEI)
I like them better than PURE GOLD (less artificial tasting) and better effect.
    PURE GOLD causes leaks.
    PURE GOLD damages the seals?
No leaks in my case with CO2 HONEY OIL!

Please remember I'm just a newbie and learning along the way.
There are more qualified experts like OF, BOB and G.

I can be a bit zealous because I find that vaporizing concentrates is the most effective way to medicate!

I don't even need over the counter drugs let alone Pharma.

Ive been using co2 oils as well that come in syringes for "easy application." I only use the 5 ohm carts at 7.4, but as long as I dont abuse the cart it wont leak. Ive made it as far as 5 days of heavy use at work. I tend to not be as careful as I could be, so im sure there is room for improvement. I agree with ataxian. Ease and consistency of use as well as potency make it a good concentrate for new guysbut I dunno how easy it is to obtain abroad.
