The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

WildChild

Seeking My Shangri-La
using capsules filled with approx .1 - .125g

170°C and up.
10 draws below 200°C

no falvour compared to solo dry
Using 1/2" screens, I fill capsules 1/2 full and use 210C for the whole session. I get great flavor for the first few draws then it tapers off, of course.

Also get great flavor from my OG Solo and Solo 2...

Mighty has amazing flavor. Probably like my favorite actually.

But sometimes i do get harsh / hot hits.

Whats the reason for this?

Material sitting in the bowl for too long?

Having material that does not have the proper moisture level?

Something else?

High temps are high temps... and can be harsh/Hot once in a while.
The Cooling Unit under the mouthpiece needs to be opened and cleaned out on a regular basis... and it actually builds up a good deal of mess in the "baffles". My hits become harsher when I use high temps, and let the CU go too long without a cleaning.

IME hot draws have only been noticed at max temp when packed very loosely, alternatively when the pack shrinks down considerably from being vaped

My Mighty bought in January '16 generally works great, but the batteries drain really fast now. Does warranty cover battery replacement?

......................................................................................
From S & B mothership:

The warranty covers manufacturer defects within the warranty period. The warranty is 3 years with the VOLCANO and the PLENTY and 2 years with the MIGHTY and the CRAFTY. The warranty will be valid for any original STORZ & BICKEL Vaporizer, regardless of where it was purchased. Defects due to normal use or wear are not covered by the warranty. Parts subject to wear such as batteries, screens, and similar are excluded from the warranty.

Ok...guess I'll be replacing it with a Ghost MV1 when the time comes. (And eagerly awaiting a Mighty 2.0)

I don't understand the Ghost hype. It's about all anyone talks about on the Vape Critic boards. Until this, I thought Vape Critic was very objective. I still respect him immensely, but it feels like he created a false demand with the Ghost. I don't want it. For plenty of good reasons.

You could always break one of the plastic fins, then it would qualify (wink wink) Regardless, it's worth it to send them an email, I've found them very accommodating. I bet if they knew how freaking talented you are, they would replace it  Besides you spent good money on that vape!

I'm on record calling it a flavor factory, I believe.

I have used a hair dryer in conjunction with my Volcano solid valve in an effort to fill a bag with vapor. Didn't work. Too fast.
you believe? I see you have memory issues such as I, I am quite happy to forget sometimes. but I will remember flavor factory and I do concur, got my original unit just after launch, they replaced it with a brand new one as it was an early unit, still fully functional just top of unit housing broken.
new unit running strong (heavy usage) since january.

The latest Crafty offers up to a 5 min auto shutoff via the app. Any news on Mighty upping the auto shutoff from 2 min to 5 min? Also, someone on Vapelife just claimed to get 10-12 sessions on a new Mighty. I hope that's true!

well s&b buys the batteries afaik from aqpak and it's the same type of battery in crafty/mighty so why shouldn't they upgrade? - hm it will need a 12 capsule tray soon :)

What don't you like about it? I don't have an opinion yet, but supposedly it produces very cool vapor due to its long vapor pathway.

I haven't paid attention in weeks, but here's what I remember:
  • Ugly.
  • Something about the bowl made it very difficult for anyone with manual dexterity issues. I don't remember specifics.

Not sure where I read it, either here, reddit, or vapelife, but someone recently had an email communication with S&B (and posted it IIRC) and S&B themselves said that the new improved batteries have been implemented in the CRAFTY, but NOT the Mighty. And to join the "newsletter" email list for any new developments.

Anyone get a newer Mighty with a 20% stronger battery sticker?

the vape critic looks like hes doing an oscar performance in his vid, i was laughing at his over acting when taking rips, he actually does a 360 spin.

the plastic looks so cheap and the internal parts, but i have not decided yet.

is this thing on?
Does a new Mighty (or Crafty) has any off-gasing when fresh out of the box? Just curious. Anyone tested? I would kinda bet money on it does not. Plastic or not, the good S&B name made me trust it over all other electric devices. So far I'm not disappointed, except wishing it would go 220°-230°C ...

I didn't notice anything, but I wasn't looking - i.e. nothing jumped out at me (like a machine oil taste). I also haven't seen this subject come up at all in this thread, which I've watched (mostly) for at least 2 years.

Mighty seems to be save.
S&B and aromed are the only vapes i know of that get used in hospitals and medical institutions.
Although i have only seen stoners use them at home.
