Like many things in libertarianism it all sounds good and is simplistic. Just work harder.

In general, Libertarians believe the only role of government is National Security. They are reactionary in that they want to go back to a time prior to FDR. They believe in individual freedom vs. solving the many problems of society as a whole. If Libertarians were in power they would basically shut down every government program we currently have. Social security, Medicare, Medicaid, welfare, food stamps, school lunch programs for the poor, affirmative action, welfare to work programs, HUD, school vouchers and hundreds of other programs all GONE!! Libertarians basically have a swim or sink, help no one but yourself, government can't make a difference in peoples lives type mindset....very narcissistic IMO...

Just get a job and work harder, that will solve all the systemic problems in the inner cities LOL....

In my view, when you do things to help society as a whole everyone wins...even the individual. A we're in this together mindset.

Grokit, nice clip... I love Michael Moore! I liked all his past movies. He hasn't made a movie for a while, at least I don't think he has.

@Chill Dude ..couple of great posts there.

Libertarianism is the extremist arm of Republicanism, but way more dangerous as they have convinced a lot of people they are somehow on the Left and about Freedom/Rights etc...a wolf in sheep's clothing you might say, at least Republicans are honest haha!

One of the biggest jokes in recent history was during the global financial collapse...when all these so called Ayn Rand inspired Libertarian 1%ers went with their begging bowls to their respective governments pleading for bailouts so their "private businesses" wouldn't go under......Yeah, it was the strong arm of socialism that quelled that shitstorm & stopped western civilisation from crumbling.

wow as usual politics make us look at each other with a raised brow. I will respectfully not engage anymore for I am not in sync with most here. I dont want to lose any acquaintances with those whom I enjoy.I might not think like you and for the most part not I'm not engaged too much with society, more of a very small group of vets and retired FF's, Im not involved in most political arena's for I dont believe in them and tend to be leary of any of the govt.I pay my taxes and for the most part I find my peace of mind with rescuing animals.Politics is ugly business IMO, for those who find it stimulating and have a passion for it,all the power to you.
For myself I just keep things simple and when shit bothers me, I just push harder to get the dogs placed, medically cleared, clean the kennels, stuff like that.My hats off to all those who are involved in really putting the effort into CHANGE, I used to have that passion and enjoyed it,after getting sick I now had to put that effort into saving my own life and taking care of the animals.I no longer had the energy or passion for fixing what i thought was important at the time. I like being self sufficient, it may not be for a lot of folks but its my passion. I lost a lot of friends over the years with politics and wish I didnt. And the sad thing is there wasnt any changes of what we argued over and now most have said lets not discuss politics anymore and just live life and enjoy what we can.

For the most part, we argue and get involved more than the politicians themselves and IMO dont really care about us so we end up at a distance over their short comings on what we want changed and for the most part life goes on and the politicians just keep playing their roles. Enjoy the day and the moment fellas,And sincerely I hope all of you find your peace and happiness in what ever your passion is. Too early for wake n bake for me,heavy work load today hopefully 5 adoptions at the rescue today................:peace:

Thank you for the kind words Brother :tup:and lets hope today is productive and peaceful for all. 420 pm is a while away but well worth the wait today...bumper of some really sweet indoor from my bud who is the hulk of green thumbs, back ground in botany, mad scientist in the grow field, he wont tell us what the % is of the active nor the strain. But he said it was something really special. Last time he did this ,we all were too trashed to do anything but eat him out of house & home, should be a well awaited treat after a hard days work. If not, just finished a large batch of butter and made some Jurassic size muffin brownies,Indica based so theyre basically couch lock bombs and take the most hard core insomniac and turn him into corpse. They worked well when on chemo, really offset the nasty sides affiliated with that poison cocktail:disgust:. See ya guys around the forum and hope every bodies vape is working topnotch.:peace:

Interesting updates today:

:tup:The mo gov just fired the entire department:

"@GovJayNixon just confirmed that the State Police & Federal Authorities are going to relieve St. Louis County PD of their duties here."

And in denver:

"Citizens should know officers are being held accountable," [denver police chief] White said. "The only officers who would have a problem with body cameras are bad officers."

Denver police are asking for 800 body cameras for officers

 Meanwhile in "new guido" fuckin' jersey:

"The 27-year New Jersey police veteran was speaking at a Town Council meeting, discussing the political corruption he was urged to take part in. Less than 48 hours later, he received a letter from Township Administrator Ted Ehrenburg, relieving him of his duties."

New Jersey Police Chief Speaks Out Against Department Corruption – Gets Relieved of Duties

Look more of those great cops you always here about:

http://newsone.com/3048753/caught-o...round-in-black-men-during-traffic-stop-video/

But booohhoooo they have a stressful job so just close your eyes and move along.

Your sarcasm speaks truth. They seldom publish (and push them to the back page if they do) "cop does good" stories. Maybe it's too common place that people don't find it interesting? Maybe it never happens? Or maybe it's that liberal Jew run media bias I've been hearing about from the Tea Party guys...

That linked story is two weeks old.
Damn you facebook!

This one on the racism within the st. louis county pd is current:

"Officer Gore is currently suspended without pay after using non lethal force on a man who attacked him in front of witnesses. Gore later gave this same man a ride home, and didn’t charge him with anything. Now, let’s compare that to Officer Darren Wilson, who is on a PAID suspension after he shot and killed an unarmed man."

:D Well using your same logic I wonder how many cases of police misconduct are never reported? I wonder how many cases are never recorded. And then I wonder how many never reach national attention. The door swings both ways.

According to the police Superintendent, this is his best guy, even though he is the subject of several police misconduct lawsuits.

Sounds like my workplace, the worst the supervisor treat the employees, the more praise he gets from upper management.

This article is a little more in-depth. It feels like a politically motivated jamming. He didn't cow to the powers that be, and now he's paraded out. The battery will be dropped to a misdemeanor (missing evidence. most likely), the misconduct dropped, and he'll be allowed to retire with pension, where he will serve as a warning to others. Welcome to Chicago!

Impossible. All it requires is a piece of tape.

not impossible. if they get caught covering the lens up they get fired.

fixed!

these cams could be connected to the internet and turn on automatically when their shift starts and off for breaks/lunch and when the shift is over. could help get them to work on time as well.

they are supposed to "do good" thats their job. of course there arent stories of the police doing their job properly... because that shouldnt be news. an everyday occurrence isnt much of news. you dont hear much about firemen doing a good job. or about any profession where someone is doing their job as they should.

its when they do the wrong thing that you hear about it mostly. makes sense to me, but yeah fuck the media. they show what they want when its convenient for them.
