Concentrate tray is a must have.

I like the clear lid. Easy to see through. I don't think I'd want the etching.

my power adapter is not working right. first at full power, my power adapter is like a weak battery.when i first got it it was stronger than a fresh battery.secondly if hit the box a few times it too hot to touch.which get annoying.also with my new walnut box the power adapter is way too slack.the new logo batteries fit snug in the box.i haven't really used it since i got the new batteries.i was wondering is this worth a warranty claim.i used to love using the power adapter but now avoid it because of the lack of power and the overheating.i notice with new concentrate pad requires higher temperture which can be only provided with pa.i want to get the pad!!!

p.s everything on the pa is tighten.

vii- that is what the warranty is for. You paid a decent amount of money for the PA. I would contact them and see about getting your PA replaced.

I've got a newer walnut MFLB and just got the PA last week and both are working great for me.

BDV's not the only one that will be able to milk glass with the LB now. :brow:

I shot this video of Buildozer using the concentrate tray with the PA at 100%. It was only our second attempt, so it's pretty easy to get a hang of IMO.

Edit: I got the OK from MF to post this.

I just need to stay away from the computer.

    I'm gonna have fun tomorrow

Thanks for the video, BDV & Stu. I am also beta testing the concentrate pad, but I don't have any video. I can take a few pics this weekend, and post them. 2001 A Space Odyssey?

I really like the concentrate pad, and I've only been using it a week! :)

Any idea how someone could sign up to test the concentrate pad?

I've got a few grams of hash sitting here ready to go....

    I knew I wasn't alone!

PA at full blast with some delicious oily stuff. CO2 stuff is nice, so far I'm having excellent results with BHO, although I haven't tried stuff that doesn't vape away 100%. Also, anyone only using one pad and keeping the other one locked away?

Cleaning it is so easy, just torch it till it glows for a few seconds, let it cool down.

The taste is pretty damn good. The execution, brilliant.

Yeah, cleaning really is a breeze! Do you think the pad is a little bit small? Mine don't fit in the entire trench like the picture I saw here in this thread.

I have used both pads. One that I cleaned regularly, and I haven't cleaned the other one at all. I'm looking to see if there will be any loss of efficiency if it's not cleaned.

Yep, mine didn't extend all the way through the trench like that one, although I push it back towards the light and it gives a more direct path for the vapor to go out the hole. I'm curious as to the long-term effects of oil vapor going through the screen. Probably nothing. If it's fine being subjected to flower vapor then it should be fine with oil vapor, the screen being self-cleaning and such (the box screen I mean.) Does it handle hash well?

It handles hash ok. The hash I have now is a little dry, but it still works. I didn't even think about the screen being affected, but it does have to pass through it.

Although I've been told that the packaging for the concentrate tray was not yet finalized, I can say that the packaging I received came with an extremely well made information booklet about the tray. Kudos to MF for being so thorough in their documentation that explains usage and tips. I liked how the pamphlet was part of the packaging as well with the concentrate tray screwed into the middle (hard to describe).

Also I would like to note that it is quite easy to overfill the tray. MF suggests a small dab the size of a match head. That is the perfect amount IMO. I tried loading about 2 match heads worth and when I melted it down in the tray, quite a bit overflowed into my screen. Performance hasn't been affected, however.

I think more focus needs to be placed on the amount. "Matchstick head" size dab, has resulted in overflow for me and getting a gunked up (beater) box. Knew I kept that thing for a reason. I've tried placing it as a little ball, squeezing it out flat. I just keep putting too much.

    But... it lasts forever!

Erik told me, he hasn't had any luck with hash.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.

I have had a tendency to under fill the pad for this very reason.

The line is from the actual screen section, methinks. The other one (that I've used) doesn't have it.

OK, I just got the notice from MF, the gabbing lamp is lit.

I too have not had much success at all with conventional hash. As the instructions said, oils and waxes that 100% vape free are the call. The same sorts of concentrates that work well in Omicron carts are working well for me. Or, to a lesser degree, DART. But if it can't soak into the mat through the screen you're in for some tough times getting the goods hot enough to work, at least I did. Given good material, it does a good job. Depending exactly on what you want, there are probably better choices for regular oil use. It's nice for sometimes of course.

I think the max load is something like .050, much like DART say. A few big hits or a dozen or more smaller ones. Not much heat makes it to the pad, putting a lot of goods there to heat is working against you.

Fun little guy, I got sidetracked a few days back when I couldn't get some hard shatter to load in the sucker. I was about to torch it in and try that.....should go resume that I guess.

BTW, in case nobody's mentioned it, the PA is really important here. You need a lot of power and you need it for a while sometimes.

CO2 oil is the best stuff I've found for this so far.

Yes, it is. Using batteries is possible, but efficiency starts to decrease as soon as the battery starts to drain. I used the car adapter with the PA and that worked great! Using the pad in the car while moving is not the best way to use the pad, though. Hit a bump, and the pad moves around in the trench. That being said, it's a hell of a lot better than using batteries, and it does work well.

^^ This! The old guy knows of what he speaks.

We didn't have as much success in producing copious amounts of vapor with the batts. The PA really is a must have for someone who wishes to get the most out of concentrates from their box.
