FINE GRIND. I don't mean "pack a bowl" fine. I mean FINE. I like my stuff at the consistency of table salt.

grind very fine. I put my herb in a whirly blade coffee grinder. No need to overfill the trench. Half full is enough. less is more. When you push in the battery let it heat up for a few seconds until you see some vapor coming out of the mouth hole. Draw very very very slowly. The MFLB is not designed for a lot of visible vapor, but that doesn't mean you're not getting the goodness.

That tip about waiting to see a little vape come out worked. Im getting some nice rips out of it now.

funny thing, yesterday i was at a friend's house and we were hitting his volcano. strangely, i've got the impression, that the box delivers harder hits with less material. is it just me or is the tiny thing really more efficient than the massively hyped high tech vaporizer? but maybe i'm just blinded by the love for the box


on a side note, i saw some tv series where vaporizing as a consumtion technique was mentioned. however it appears, that there are no other vaporizers than the volcano in the movie universe. did someone see a mflb on a tv or movie screen?

I must admit I just ordered a volcano since my wife recently started enjoying a vape once in a while and its the easiest thing I could think of for when we are vaping together. She doesn't vape solo like I do.

That being said... the MFLB never ceases to amaze me! I have a home-made WPA, PA, recently started attaching to my incredibowl after reading someone else on FC attest to it (allsome rips), 2 foot whip for nice cool rips, and finally... my new home-made third lung (OMG).

I made the third lung for my wife to hit easily without worrying about draw methods (she hasn't smoked since we were in HS over 15 years ago) and it has been awesome. The first night I made it I hit up like 5 bags worth and put myself to sleep

I see a local HS has the nano grinder for a very acceptable price. Does it really get a good fine grind?

Just go with the two quarters (or 1 nickel) in a pill bottle method. Powder every time.

wait a minute, there is a use for the incredibowl with the mflb? now you've got my attention. i have an incredibowl mini getting dusted without a prupose in its miserable life. how can i marry the bowl to the box?

So i just look for grab a pill pottle, put a nickel and a nug in there and start shaking or something?

I was in the same boat with my incredibowl (along with everything else I used to use to combust). Anyway, what you do is a normal cleaning, making sure the screen is clear and nothing is still collected in the catcher. Since you have cleaned it, you should have the glass bowl removed... DO NOT put it back in. The little rubber gasket that holds the glass bowl in place is the perfect size to fit your MFLB stem in. Its snug but you can tell when its secure/tight enough to give it a try.

Draw even slower than normal to allow the incredibowl to get nice and milky. When it's thick with vapor... BOOM to the face!

Well go ahead and grind it like normal with your grinder... THEN put the ground herb in the bottle with the nickel and shake like hell for a few minutes.

You'll thank me later.

Edit: ok so i tried it and it does work. I think i will still buy the grinder though, because this isn't exactly the quickest method and i like to support the MF team a bit by buying some of their accessories.

Regarding the new batteries that are shipping with the specialty wood boxes: what's the best way to treat them? Can I charge them in the standard issue MF charger or should I get a fancy charger like this one?

I wasn't sent a new charger with them, they went right into my white MF charger and they've been happy there since.

I have a C9000 charger. When I get my new cherry LB, I plan to charge those batteries in that charger.

I have that same charger. Its an older model... but it does the job. I love it.

They have been charged in the OEM one to... but the La Crosse is a wise investment. It gave them re-energized purpose, I hadn't realized they had lost.

Just wanted to say that I am happy new owner of a MFLB. I am loving the vapor quality and the ease of use. Compared to the IOLITE, everything is better exception the stealthier look for the IOLITE. but this is so small that it is much easier to out of sight.
I was wondering about 1 thing.
The first vape of a fresh batch of Cannabis, it produces much vapor visually, rest of hiits has no vapor exhaled that is I feel some warmth in the throat, usually a dollop of warmth and then it lessens.
I am waiting the 3- 5 seconds, more on the 5 second maybe 7 seconds not much more i fear to combust as I went thru a relative nightmare with the Pulsar 7.

AM I doing it right? also the look of the used Cannabis has never gotten as dirt brown as with the Iolite, there is even looks like tobbacco heaven forbid. But here it is still dark green they smell the same.
I am taking about 4-6 rounds and still not brown color. Am I doing anything wrong would u say.

And grind finer if you aren't already, as well. It works because heat is transferred from the screen to the material via contact. More surface area = more contact = more vapors.

I ground very fine but I will study the techniques. I would say the quality of the experience is very good
on a par with what I had with the Iolite. So just need to fine tune. Thank you for you help.

your idea of the flat disks in the bottle is good however in the long run the nickle and other metals in coins are not a good thing to injest a better idea would be to use stainless steel washers

I get to order the cherry MFLB this Friday! I did our taxes last Friday (2-1-13), and the IRS accepted it same day. They already approved our refund, and plan to deposit it this Friday (2-8-13)!!! I'm really impressed with the IRS this year!

Now, I am really excited for Friday to get here.
