But Carnauba is a food grade wax, it's used all the time in candy making. It's what keeps M&Ms doing what they do. Comes from Palm trees you know......

Besides which, you're not supposed to eat the box you know, that's a different forum......

Actually it does....it just doesn't really mean what you think it does. Somehow I had the feeling it might catch your attention Big Guy! Good to know you're still in there holding up your end as it were....

What's the old joke about the guy at the shrink being shown the ink blots? "That's a man and a women holding hands". "That's a different man and woman kissing". "That's the same man an woman hugging". That's the first man and women taking each other's clothes off"......

The shrink says, "Ah, I see you seem preoccupied with sex". "What do you mean me, Doc, you're the one with all the dirty pictures...".

True, I know it's basically Carnauba wax. I also know most floor waxes contain things like naptha, which I'd avoid putting in my mouth since it's pretty easy to do so. Of course, you can get a mild solvent high from sniffing it. ;)

Wait? I can get mild solvents high, just by sniffing them?

How do I know when they're high?

(blame mom, she's the one that forced me into making 3 videos and all those takes).

Yup, but like ISO (which is worse, really) it's going to evaporate off as it dries so by the time you buff it out you get a solid waterproof film. In general 'mineral oils' are not really an issue and there's a trivial (IMO0 amount left. I'm sure it can be detected, but we're talking about a wooden box here......

The can doesn't tell you not to lick the kitchen floor. The only safety warning is a NYFD warning about combustion (and we don't do that....), kinda like the tag on a mattress?

Find a better wax and I'm happy to change?

    Doesn't work....I tried.

You know, BDV, you're one sick puppy......in case anyone asks. I like that.

You do know how to smell moth balls, right?

How do you get them to sit still.

Though I suppose if someone wanted to smell my balls, I'd sit real still-like and let them take their time.

I usually hold them by their little wings myself......

I like your approach, may I suggest soft music and candle light?

I put organic virgin(unrefined) coconut oil on my box and the wooden stem too. i also have a wax from AromaZap/PurpleDays I could use on it if I wanted a wax...

Another good option, but bee's wax is lame against Carnauba.....and I'm too lazy to do it more often than necessary I guess?

The idea remains the same, use some sort of wax to waterproof the surface of the wood.

    Hey guys,
It's been a while since I was here. My LB has seen a fuckload of use since, and I'm on the cusp of upgrading to a PA + car adapter. I had a few questions for you experienced people:
    1) My batteries have already had to be replaced once within a month (the native ones) because every time I used to charge them, they'd overheat and every time I hit the vape a little while longer they'd overheat too. Maybe it was just the voltage here in India or something. Then I bought Sony 2800 mAh batteries and sttarted using an Eveready charger instead of the MF one (which I lost), and haven't had problems with the new ones for a couple months. Now, though, I see them diminishing slowly in power. Could this be a problem with the box that causes them to overheat so quickly? Do you have to change batteries this frequently too?
    2) The lid of my LB seems to have become slightly raised off the wood. Is there a way to tighten it?
    3) Is there a way to clean the trench of the box?
    4) I watched BigDaddyVapor's video about. I could NEVER get a thick stream of vapor building up that quickly and lasting that long... how did you do it man?!
    Thanks for your time,
    GC.

2* Is the wood warped on the box?... or is the lid just lose?... if it is lose, just open the lid 180 and press down the lid pin to make it more snug... if the box is warped then maybe you should warranty it, i have successfully sanded a warped box back to flat before but it was tedious and nerve wracking... i wouldn't recommend it unless you feel pretty confident... it warped for me at the saw cut where the - connection is made... good luck... sorry i cant answer the battery issue...

4* BDV's just got skills ha and i'm sure new batteries ha... i was getting clouds like that last night by mixing in some lower grade bubble hash in the trench... it kept the herb from browning fast and produced lots of vapor... required a lot less shaking...

3* also not sure if you meant clean the trench or under the trench... there are trench cleaning vid's on youtube...

hope you get that PA... i love mine.. makes those bong hits work out better... hopefully the voltage in India isn't an issue... IDK electricity confuses me ha..

I always bat native now. I started off native but then I spent a few months using a stem and enjoyed it but I decided to try native again after seeing the rep from MFLB say native was the intended use for the box. After I went back to bareback I found there was no going back to a stem, in my opinion, I believe I get better hits and better highs from using it native.

i feel the techniques and methods are very flexible... they can all be bent to get the same results and effects out of any of them... IMO native tastes best though, and there is the benefit of sharper trench senses but that's about it... iv'e come to realize there's no best method... all you have to do is understand the LB and then its like riding a bike no matter what your use preference... It all comes down to is temp control and battery pulse... whatever works best ATM is the only best way. i don't believe native gives bigger hits or (edit: Noticeably) higher highs...

The whole deal with hitting the box "native" is that all - well most - vapor condensation takes
place in our bodies so very little of the hit is wasted until we exhale. The bigger and higher thing is just way to subjective; the box allows for a lot of variation and we love experimenting with them all. :ko:

I use the box native when i'm out and about in the city. Stealth hits with the MFLB hidden in your hand are fun. When i'm at home and sitting down, I liked using a 1ft whip. It seems like i can take longer rips this way. I just got the WPW for christmas though so thats another good option.

Do people seal their boxes with wax generally though? My box is over a year old and I haven't noticed any real gunk from hitting it natively. I usually just wipe it on a shirt or something after use..

why do the batts get so hot in stock charger? If ut really did charge at rate stated they wouldnt get that hot. Seems like they all do this.

You... might need to get your charger replaced (or maybe the batteries). I'm using the stock charger myself. I had to get my original one replaced, but they sent me pretty much the same one, and it absolutely does not heat up my batteries at all.

Its normal for the batteries to be hot following the full-charging cycle on the OEM charger. However, they should cool down, rather quickly.

I just got my freeby WPA today, it did have to come all the way down here and I wasn't sure I'd even get it, but it showed up, thanks MFLB.

Warm, yes. Hot, not really. They shouldn't get so hot that you can't handle them comfortably. I'd try a different charger.

Agreed. We beat these guys up quite a bit in use, no sense abusing them further in the charger. Heat is bad, but is sometimes traded for fast. The batteries already already die young, why push it more?

I had a hard time getting my nose between their little legs. Looks like I got here just in time for some tomfoolery.

I had to come on here and comment, I am not sure how long I have had this MFLB, a few weeks or so. I am not a huge fan of conduction vapes, but I have fallen in love with this thing for keif. I have never really been able to use it much except in sandwiches, and the MFLB is a wonder for keif, IMO. I just discovered it a few days ago, and have been surviving on keif for 3 days now, it has been awesome! I get killer hits and 2 will usually do me fine, but is is often hard to stop at two.

Sure wish I hadn't been so stubborn and purchased one of these a long time ago. I never understood the 'one hitter' reference, but I sure do now. Stealthy and fast for a reasonable price.

I have too many great vapes, I am so glad I found this forum. Bought a couple of stinkers in the beginning, year 1, BFC, but with time and research AND AN OPEN MIND I have a great collection. My thanks for all the help this year, from all the wonderful people that spend money and share their thoughts, it really makes this confusing market a lot easier to deal with.

Especially thanks to OF, he is a wonderful man (I think he is male, must research more) that is honest and forthright in his reviews. People like OF are really the contributing factors to this forum, my hat is off to you sir, your timeless efforts are really appreciated by those of us wanting a straightforward answer.

Happy New Year everyone! My hopes for success of all the crazy vapeheads on this forum in the new year, and new understanding and tolerance for those of us that could use more, my best to you all!

Have you tried the candle light and soft music? Always works for me. Maybe your nose it too big?

Sorry to inform you, the silly train left long ago, I'm pretty sure BDV is driving.....and you know what that means.

Thanks very much for the kind words, I'm very happy to be helping when I can. Lots of good folks have helped me out when I really needed it, it's payback time of sorts as I see it.

Fun as this stuff is, the bottom line is it can help good people live longer and more comfortably.....pretty cool if you asked me. Worth the effort.

Maybe your moths are too small?
