MF has the best customer service... i just had yet another good experience w/ them... there was an unexpected issue w/ my shipment that i wanted to bring to their attention because they seemed to be unaware... i had not expected to hear from them until after the holidays... i knew it would be close... i was pleasantly suprised to get an email at ~7pm from them on x-mas eve:clap:... usually takes at least few days to hear from them but i always do hear from them and that's nice to be able to count on... i can rest easy now knowing my shipment isn't sitting at some SD post office forgotten about... happy holidays:)

EDIT: just tried new batteries/whip through the bong, it was pretty impressive... BDV inspired me to try haa.. usually i'd use my PA... to me these batteries feel like my PA at ~60%.. just about where i like it for the bong... nice to not be tethered to the wall using the LB/bong... its was possible w/ the old batteries but not nearly as practical... i still like the power of the old ones for normal use, ATM they seem to fit my battery routine/usage style better... i'll probably use the new ones for if i want to hit my LB through my bong... also the new batteries seem to keep pieces from sticking to my screen as much...

I have found the same thing, after smoking a bit with a few friends a couple days ago I pulled out the box and by the end of the session there were 2 new mflb enthusiasts asking where to buy one.

I just measured the screen temp on mine with my temp gun. Goes to 250 in like 3 secs and stays there. Box is newer and works great! Just was curious if it would read. Although it has to be getting hotter as it vapes the stuff to dark brown.

Damn, I wish I had thought of that! I'm going to use my hubby's temp gun to test my MFLB's now. :)

Ill try again with fully charged batteries but at 250 no vapor would be made, or atleast very little. Not sure if you can measure it that way...but thatd be cool to see what you get also. I get nice visible vapor every hit with mflb. Even when drawing faster it cooks it nice. I dont think the actual screen temp goes down much if at all while drawing. Your just bringing in more cool air but the screen keeps baking. Real happy with it.

Not a big fan of this vape. I've had it for a year now and used it extensively and find it tends to burn the plant matter. The learning curve was kinda silly too. You shouldn't have to go to youtube to learn how to use a vape imo.

That's a shame because this is a good vaporizer, and a lot of people love it, including me. It has been my sole vaporizer for years now.

It is what it is I guess. It's been my sole vape as well for the time I've had it and really wanted to love it but I just don't think it's very well designed. To each their own. I'm thinking of buying the Cloud in the next while and trying that out.

We have a motto here at this forum; there is no "best" vape. Each person has their own needs in a vape and which vape is best for them is really based on that. For you, the LB didn't work out well. It didn't fit your needs. For many it has and is their daily driver.

However, to say that the LB isn't well designed is an opinion which is not shared by many here.

My advice to you, before you go and buy your next vape, would be to do some research. There is so much information here on most vapes. Do some research so that you don't buy another that doesn't suit your personal needs.

That may be true for most vaporizers, but the mflb is an exception. Because it heats up so fast, and it uses just regular rechargeable batteries, there is a learning curve. Other vaporizer either have a set temperature or you can control the temperature, but they don't heat up nearly as fast as the mflb. The fast heat up allows a full spectrum hit with very little difficulty, so it is good enough for me.

Plus look how small it is, it is the vaporizer version of one hitters for smokers. You can let it heat up and extract what you want, then just take a hit, and go where you need to go without taking too much time out to puff your herb or be seen like a joint or other portable vaporizers. It's perfect for outside situations where being inconspicuous is a must, but you want a nice potent puff.

Improper technique, which doesn't require Youtube. Everything I learned about using the MFLB, I learned on my own and in this thread. If you doubt the ability to pull satisfying vapor hits out of the MFLB, go to my channel. I have at least 5+ videos, pulling nice thick hits off the MFLB and water pieces.

Your herb, isn't properly cured/ground if you're constantly torching it. My guess, would be its too wet and you're having to apply heat too long. Try letting your bud sit out a 1/2 hour or so, before grinding, or do it in a batch. Glass jar, in the fridge until you see the water condensation. Remove the jar and the bud, from the jar. Let both return to room temp. Repeat, until your herb has just a slight bit of crisp to it, when you squeeze it.

It's not the vaporizer. Some vaporizers just suck, but the MFLB is not one of them. I'd check out the other variables before castigating the MFLB. Make sure your herb is dry and grind it fine and don't overfill the trench. As long as you draw slowly, the MFLB will do the job.

so i had this broken lid that was barely hanging on.. i decided to just fix it before it fully broke + add the ball bearing catch:cool: from my old warrantied(destroyed) box... i just flipped the lid around and eye balled everything(lost my calipers), had to widen the hole slightly since it was a little off centered, but w/ the ball bearing it locks into place perfectly... check it out..
    [IMG] [IMG]
I also traced the MF logo and engraved it into the lid for fun... good as new

EDIT: found my calipers, a little late though haa

What I admire is your determination to fix something that you know Magic-Flight would replace.

Thanks, saves me time and them money... i would feel bad w/ 2 warranties back to back.. if its already considered broken by MF, and i can see an easy way to fix it, whats the risk in trying... because my box operates perfectly... Just using rubber band like JSteez said, would have worked... i mentioned my breaking lid in one of my last emails to MF, asking if they recommended a fix-it solution. i was told to take a pic of the damage w/ my screen visible and take a pic of my serial#... i guess ill have to let them know its been fixed since then... its a trip how they can offer a warranty like that, i swear they'll replace a box over ANYTHING, no 100 questions either:clap::tup:... their reputation is too legit to quit...

how many of you use your box native? i never really liked it all that much before cause i found it a bit hot and that it would somewhat burn my tongue. however, this past week i sucked it up and tried using my LB native for a few days and have been absolutely loving it. seeing a new side of my box with just a little kiss ;)

Try pushing the tip of your tongue up against the roof of your mouth, while you're drawing (native). Your tongue acts as a heat block, removing irritation from the rest of your mouth and throat... it also helps get some really big rips off the box, as you get a better feel for the vapor flow coming out.

I go native usually I find the stem makes me choke a bit easier from the vapor hitting my throat so I have only used it a couple times. Maybe I should break it out and give it another shot though. Native the vapor can be a bit hot but it's easier for me tell where my temps at, and it's more stealth if I am driving or out and about.

I use the stem anytime i can since kissing it will gunk up the wood.
Cooler air plus i dont need to gauge the heat since i know how long and how hard to draw amyways. As long as the bulb isnt dimming i know im getting vapor.

This is actually pretty easy to fix. Wax your box. Put a few solid coats of a good paste wax (Johnson's floor wax being my favorite), one with a lot of Carnauba in it on the area and 'mouth junk' wipes off easily and completely. I do the whole box, keeps it quite clean and good looking (doesn't dry out like oiling does).

FWIW, I'm usually a 'stemless guy' myself, it seems more in keeping with the spirit of the box somehow. Fits in the pocket better that way too.

Cool OF... good to know.. that's a big part of the reason i hardly use native... i like the stem but it'd be nice to carry one less part around sometimes... besides using it w/o the stem in public would give it away a lot less.

EDIT: on a side note i just tried using bubble hash for the first time mixed w/ bud.. about 60/40. the LB was hitting so nice... every hit tasted like the first one and the vapor was more dense too.. dense enough to puff O's w/ ha.. it was the kind of bubble that doesn't melt but it does get sticky.. never felt like trying before ha i wish i had done this sooner... Its really nice, the herb isn't even charring, crumbling down, or even sticking, and i'm not even flipping it as often.. i'm using my PA at ~45%... its given a lot of hits so far too and its still hittin ha.. favorite way to use so far... iv'e read about it before but never felt like trying it until now

    I do! :)

I usually carry the LB to outdoor rides and to "disguise" it (in case some curious police officer asks to open my backpack and finds the box) it is usually wrapped in some earphones, as if it was some pocket radio or mp3 player... But, as soon as I mastered some technique, I then started to love hitting the box native!
Something less to be broken, to carry, and to disguise, these are the main reasons I started using the box native.... and now, I have to say I do prefer that way!

    Cheers!

Ummm, floor wax? I like the idea but there are lots of food-grade waxes out there.
