The Herbalizer

elmomuzz

That just happened...
I wonder if a version 2 herbalizer that drops the useless aromatherapy mode is in the works?

I doubt it.
  1. It is helpful to marketing and to the company.... as well as to the end user, in some situations, to have a unit that is designated officially "an aromatherapy device".
  2. It helps with sales and shipping, and federal regulations as well.
  3. Some people like using it.

I'm always surprised when people trash-talk the aromatherapy function. I love it. It does a great job at what it was intended to do...make my room smell good again!

I agree. The first 6 months I never used this mode but then I bought an Essential oil sampler pack off Amazon and have been loving the Aromatherapy mode. Like stickstones said it helps to freshen up your room. It is actually quite pleasant to put my nose at the output of the aromatherapy. It smells great and is relaxing. I am a bit concerned though whether aromatherapy mode could shorten the life of the Herbalizer bulb. It kind of feels like I am running a car to power a smart phone.

You need the spring that goes in the housing ... It's wrapped around a metal cylinder

I can't find this online anywhere. I checked vapornation and the have the other parts I quoted but I don't see a spring for sale.

So you pretty much need the entire solid valve kit even if you are using the herbie bowl?

No. Entire $114 dollar kit is not needed.

I believe the aromatherapy mode utilizes its own fan that is separate from the vape mode. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks. I got very confused looking at what vapornation sells vs what you actually need. I am tempted just to get the whole starter kit since it is not that much more and you get a bunch more stuff although I doubt I need it. I will ponder whether I want to spend this much on an upgraded bag system especially since I would still have to hold it down while filling unless I want to risk deforming my herbalizer.

I just got my Herbalizer today through VaporNation and it's missing the oil blend, which isn't a huge deal. However, upon double checking the box for it I noticed my box didn't have a seal on it. It looks like the seal just popped or peeled off. It's hard to tell if a seal was ever on the box. I looked up pics and videos and all the boxes I've seen have seals. I contacted VaporNation to express my concern that I may have received an open box or returned unit. They assured me they are an authorized seller and that my Herbie is definitely not used. Everything in the box looks brand new and nothing looks repackaged. I'd hate to go through a return/exchange process with them so just going to hope I can find a replacement oil container that will fit inside. VaporNation told me they have had others report missing the oil blend as well and they contacted Herbie about it... apparently this is an "oversight" on the manufacturers part. It's such an expensive purchase and am pretty nervous about it. I just hope they aren't screwing me around as I've never ordered from them before.

So I'd like to know if anyone else has seen reports of missing oil blends or the box missing its seal.

Thanks!

Edit:
I sent an e-mail to Herbalizer and am currently awaiting a response.

If anyone knows of a lid container that can work as a replacement I'd love to know.

Consider yourself lucky! I swear my whip still tastes a little "defunky". I would have preferred not getting the defunk oil, IMO cross contamination is a problem in shipping it inside of herbie.

Does anyone have a place they recommend for to buy replacement screens. I measured mine at 9/16" and I'd like to get a deal on 20 or more so I don't have to clean them as often.

I've been thinking that the oem herbalizer screen size is proprietary cuz I can't find it anywhere. I opted for over the counter 16mm - 5/8 ss". Its a big larger and fits in the bottom groove of the herbie bowl, but not the top. :bang: So i just shimmied a 1/2" screen inside the neck at the top of the bowl. I got the basil gauze, and a titanium 16 mm screen, on order from the same website to try them out.

I've noticed that even placing a screen above the aroma pad with no herb in the bowl, keeping it captive and still, produces better quality vape just as it seems to do w herb.

That is what I was afraid of. Screens should be dirt cheap for a bunch of them. I don't want to pay 5 bucks for 4 screens and another brush but I may end up doing just that :(

Anyone know a good watertool to use with their herbie?

Like an f bomb or a pinnacle water thingy....

What are glass pieces like that called...(with the connection at the bottom)

Would they work well with a herbie (planning on using it with the mighty too)

The glass pieces with the connection at the bottom is a Hydratube. I have several and they work great with the Herbalizer with an adapter. http://www.vapexhale.com/collections/hydratubes

I've been nursing my first set of screens for over 13 months now. I'm betting they're a metric size and will only cost a few dollars for 100 once we figure it out.

@Ratchett SonG plus a Glass Blowers Direct Assassins Neck Tie is a pretty good and reasonable priced combo.

It's an obsession but it's pleasin'
Here are a couple pics of one of VXL's hydratubes sitting on the GonG connector I always have attached to my Herbie bowls.

Happy New Year. Hope all is finding you well so far. Herbie is still going as strong as the day I got him. Still love using it, and has remained my daily driver. Not much has changed over the time I have owned my herbie. Happy to be back here at FC!
