The End of The Colbert Report

Did anyone else find it impossible to not cry a little at seeing the (likely) last of of this character?

I've been a Colbert fan since he first started on The Daily Show way back yonder, and he has been a regular part of my life ever since, in particular his character on "Strangers With Candy." Stephen has made me laugh during the darkest of times. And I mean the very fucking darkest. And I'm sure he'll continue to do so.

I can completely understand how he wants to move on. After so many years of playing the same part, who wouldn't? But I can't help being a bit selfish and wishing he would just go on with The Colbert Report forever. I'm not sure he realizes how important his slant has become.

I will never forget him, that's for sure. And I miss him already.

I am definitely selfish, I wish it would continue on. The episodes on Super PACS's with Trevor Potter were some of the best TV I have seen. They took such a dry yet important topic and made it entertaining, humorous, and for the masses.

The show/character will be greatly missed.
