I remember smoking as a 14 year-old and getting that "they know I'm high" feeling, especially at grocery stores and out in public cutting school! so funny though looking back. lmao

Oh yea it does. Usually when I'm out with the solo I start vaping like i don't care who sees me. Ten minutes later and I'm hiding my vapo from people with dreadlocks or 20yr old women..

I know I'm not supposed to do it, but I occasionally smoke out random people on the street. All I've asked, five people, have said yes, so you never know, you could find a smoking buddy.

I made friends with a dude who lived in my area and I visit him now and then. Turns out he has his medical card.

That's just my small way of being like, "fuck the system" as I carry on being a part of it.

Am I the only one who has a condition where weed makes them less paranoid? Maybe it's cause I'm afraid of seizing, but if I don't have some THC or CBD in my system I'm constantly on edge, because there's always the chance I could have a seizure.

CBD is a bit more effective because I feel the effects longer, but THC also stops seizures for a while as far as I can tell. When my tolerance goes up I find the chances of paranoia go up as well, but only because it becomes harder for me to hit the perfect dose without over or under medicating.

It usually helps to lessen my anxiety, and it helps with pain, and it helps reduce my seizures also... But I can still get stuck in a paranoia loop occasionally, particularly when police are around.

Have you ever gotten high and suddenly felt scared, worried, anxious? Some marijuana users report intense, unjustified fear, verging on paranoia, after smoking strong marijuana, especially Sativa strains. I call this “maranoia,” and I’ve experienced it myself.

Being paranoid is a good thing. The experience of being paranoid when you smoke weed is to get you to look at yourself. It’s to get you to look at life. You’re not always looking at it as clearly as you could. Those jolts of perception you misinterpret as paranoia, what you’re really doing is just dealing with information that’s already there. - Joe Rogan

I find that paranoia is mainly from the public perception that mj is an illegal drug. While this can be heightened by thc, I predict that as decriminalization increases paranoia will decrease accordingly.

I've had paranoia where I could hear every heartbeat and where the walls felt like they were closing in. A feeling like you need to go outside to get some fresh breaths. It had nothing to so with being illegal. A certain strain that you didnt interact well with, probably a Sativa.

I've also had the paranoia that everybody knows you're stoned. Going into 7eleven to get a diet Pepsi and Cheetos, knowing everybody's looking at you. Your worried someone is going to call the cops. Your sure you are being followed by the cops after you leave the store. You turn down a side street to loose whoever's following you.

Two different types of paranoia. The last one has to do with being illegal. :evil:Its been a long time ago. Usually I stay home these days when vaping. Not always though.

What a relief that it isn't illegal in my state anymore. We have a lot at risk in some states if you get busted for cannabis. Your family, jobs, your place in the community. Also the cost of lawyer fees. Worst of all having to go to prison. I can't believe in this day and age it's still happening. Fellow Fcer Jared lived a nightmare. He commented on a different thread about it.

I've gotten extreme paranoia that wasn't related to illegality before. Before I had my medical certification I got a strain that was very high THC, and very low CBD. I vaped a firewood pack on no tolerance before bed, and when I lay down my mind was racing and I was practically seeing the walls breathe. Then when I tried the same strain the next day it was a mediocre high at best , it was just that first time that I got extreme paranoia.

Maybe we need to differentiate between anxiety and paranoia?

Yeah you're right that sounds more like anxiety than paranoia. In that case I'd agree that the illegality of weed causes paranoia more than weed itself. I definitely feel more comfortable getting high in a legal setting compared to an illegal setting.

I don't experience paranoia as relates to others around me or illegal implications - but I sometimes experience anxiety to a significantly heightened degree as relates to my own personal insecurities e.g., guilt, control of my own mind (or lack of), shame, regret, etc. These things pre-exist within, and nothing magnifies bigger their existence wherein they reside - my mind - like good ol Mary Jane.

Then stop using indicas at high temps and do some low temp sativas! I'm sure you'll get used to the paranoia. :tinfoil:

I become stimulated to do things because they often become more interesting and mentally engaging. It is when the effects wear off that my motivation wanes.
