Hey I was wondering if anyone could tell me the difference in potency between the THC-A crystalline and THC distillate? They are both marketed to be 99% pure, but it seems like THC-A is more potent. What is the difference between decarbing THC-A through dabbing compared to dabbing already decarbed THC?

THC-a weighs more than THC on the molecular level. Something like 13% loss through the decarboxylation (COOH group) I've read. Some lab test results I've seen compensate for this in their numbers by multiplying by .87 iirc? So 1 gram of THC distillate would theoretically have 13% total THC compared to the same 1 gram of THC-a if you were to decarb that (like you do when you dab).
Dab THC-a -> decarbing -> loss of weight -> THC
Dab THC distillate -> turns into vapor it's already THC
